  1. I love this little build! Great color choices. The lush greenery of the island looks fantastic.
  2. Great job with the details on this MOC! The whole thing looks fantastic. I assume the screaming fellow caused the mess?
  3. Thank you Faladrin! That's great, gloomy is exactly what I was aiming for.
  4. Thank you BrickJagger! Photography has been an additional hobby of mine for a few years. Thanks Littleworlds! Thank you BrickCurve! That and the lantern pillars were the most fun to build. Thank you Leonardo! When I grabbed my camera and had my lights on hand, I couldn't resist!
  5. He arrived at last. Memory after memory came to the warrior's mind as he traversed the ruins of what was once his kingdom. Although the marks of disaster reigned about him, not a clue could be found on who the guilty one was. Clenching his fist, The Knight stoutly resolved to seek out the truth... Here's my first MOC entry on Eurobricks! After about three to four different attempts, I finally managed to get this one built. The door arch was originally going to be the floor, but it just wasn't working out. Once I made it an archway, everything went together pretty quick. Getting the lighting to fit the mood was just as fun as building it! I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills, so if you all have any advice I would love to hear it! - Loreman
  6. This has been said multiple times already, but I'll join the chorus... the triangle shape of this fort looks fantastic!
  7. It looks great! It captures the mood well, has great architecture, a healthy amount of nice earth tone parts too. I wonder what the final price will be.
  8. It's great comparing your MOC with the image of the real thing. You did a fantastic job at simplifying the complex design into a miniature model. Well done!
  9. I love the use of arches. A very nice composition, well done!
  10. The techniques you used on the walkway on the wall of the inner court is amazing. I'm a big fan of LOTR, and the effects and details of this build really bring it to life. I can't wait to see it in it's completion! What is the current brick count of the project?
  11. Great review! I was shocked to see a Series 16 box in my nearby Walmart about a month ago, and set my target on the Ice Queen and Rogue. The Ice Queen is a fantastic minifig, definitely glad to add it to the family. Unfortunately someone building a Rogue army must have gotten to the box before me, because I searched and searched. They had everything BUT Rogues. Oh well, I suppose that's what Bricklink is for.
  12. Thank you friends!
  13. Greetings fellow Lego fans, I recently resumed building with Lego after about a six-year long “dark age”. As a child, I was always the kid who kept the instruction books, often tearing apart and rebuilding old sets. I've since developed a liking for creativity, design and aesthetics, and Legos are most definitely THE best toys that ever existed so... it was time to brush the dust off of those storage boxes! I remember years ago spending much time wandering about Brickshelf, Mocpages, and especially here. With Eurobricks I was always awed at the incredible builds that would constantly show up on the front-page. You can probably imagine my excitement to finally become a member. Concerning my tastes, I am a big fan of the medieval genre, fantasy or historical. Growing up with Lego I collected a large variation of lines, but there was always a dominant theme – I believe the first was Alpha Team (this was my first set of that line - I still have one of the yellow translucent rotor blades), then onto Knights Kingdom (The “Jellybean” one), Exo-Force (Collected ALOT of those), and then Star Wars, specifically the Clone Wars line of sets. So while I'm quite thankful I did not rid myself of my collection during that 6-year break, I did now find it necessary to at least attain the LOTR set Helm's Deep off of Ebay to help jump-start my current (and long-lasting) passion with castles, knights, and dragons. I still can't believe I missed the entire line of sets from one of my favorite films. I have a few builds in the works, and hopefully I will be done with one in the coming weeks. - Loreman
