  1. Honestly, I think the sets shouldve been done like this: - Scrap the Tatooine battle pack and make a clone one - Move mace windu to the jedi battlepack, and make the Grievous combat speeder a wheelbike with Obi Wan and boga
  2. No lol. I don't know who came up with that idea but it seems a bit ridiculous. Although Harry Potter appeals to both boys and girls, it is not a little girls theme.
  3. Hopefully these set pictures will be coming any day now!!! Last year, it was the week before Thanksgiving, so that gives us hope
  4. Honestly, the Sandspeeder is kind of cool, being that it is based around the Battle of Jakku. It's confirmed that the rebels used airspeeders like those in the battle. Gotta say its fun when Lego changes things up and gives us something from the past that no one was really expecting, kind of like Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter from 2015 and the new General Grievous Speeder.
  5. Honestly, Lego could be making so much money if they did some releases of the MTT, AAT, Clones, and other classic vehicles to coincide with the release of Battlefront 2. There are still some exclusives that we don't know about so we can only hope!! UCS Imperial Star Destroyer would be amazing if that's the rumor. I've been waiting for a huge Star Destroyer to display next to my Force Awakens Falcon for a while now! Lego has a way of surprising us so I'm excited. Lastly, one set that would be awesome to rerelease would be a non UCS Slave 1, like the 2010 verson or an Anakin vs Obi-wan set the size of Duel on Naboo . Hopefully someday.....
  6. Don't want to start an argument here but just gotta say this: The world is not even close to moving on from Harry Potter... With new Harry Potter merchandise, books, and Fantastic Beasts coming out every year, J.K. Rowling's wizarding world is just as strong as it was when the films were in the process of coming out. Lego is making one of their best choices by bringing back Potter for so many great marketing reasons: 1. With new films like Fantastic Beasts, it gives Lego the opportunity to make sets that new fans can relate to and old, possibly producing sets along with the FB movies (which they should've done last year) 2. Harry Potter is still in high demand, with new people getting into the books and movies each year, so recreating some of the classic scenes from the films in Lego form will sell very well. 3. The amount of Harry Potter fans out there is immense, and by making lego sets, will get them into building more legos. I'll bet if they made a huge badass Hogwarts, any Potter fan would be amazed and want to add that to their collection of Potter memorabilia. 4. Harry Potter appeals to EVERYONE. Whether it be the young kids or adults that have followed it since the beginning, everyone would be willing to build parts of Hogwarts, creatures, and locations from the beloved franchise. Everyone wishes they were Harry, Ron, and Hermione running through Hogwarts. Although Star Wars is a goldmine for Lego, it has a different effect on consumers (I heard this statement from many inside sources). What I mean is that Star Wars is mainly based around ships, blasters, and battles, a more "violent" tone than Potter. Believe me, I love Star Wars, but parents may prefer their kids focusing on building parts of Hogwarts or other scenes from the books and movies they are following at the time. 5. Harry Potter Legos longest running, strongest licensed wave next to Star Wars, so I don't understand why they stopped. Lego has made some pretty odd choices in their random releases of sets (for example, a $350 Ghostbusters firehouse, and $200 Simpsons Kwik-E Mart out of nowhere) and Potter is just as popular as Star Wars, in an obviously different way, but I don't think that changes the demand for some harry Potter Lego sets.
  7. @Stash2Sixx Besides the ones that we know of, will we be getting any normal waves of sets based on past movies, or really just a second Last Jedi wave (with Grievous and Tatooine) and the Solo wave (with Yoda's Hut and the Jedi/Clone Battlepack)?
  8. I can see the Ahch-To Training set including Rey, Luke and either 2 Porgs or R2-D2 (or both!). Probably not Chewie because he'll be in the Microfighter falcon. And the porgs will probably be another color to keep the Falcon ones exclusive.
  9. Im not talking about Luke, I agree with you on that statement. I'm just talking about the sets that come out before the film in general.
  10. If they did Hogwarts, they'd probably do 10-12 minifigs, similar to the 2010 version. Hopefully they do the figures a bit different also, maybe Dumbledore with the Saruman hair/beard mold, Harry in an alternate outfit, Voldemort with the dark green robes, and some updated student uniforms.
  11. The reasoning some sets usually release pre-movie are weaker in design is due to the fact that Disney/Lucasfilm only provides the Lego designers with concept art before making the actual sets. They have no live film reference besides images. Also, does anyone know who is included in the Crait Battlepack ? Is it based on the First Order or Resistance? Honestly, I hope we can some Battlefront 2 sets sometime as well. I would love to see the Inferno Squadron in a battle pack and also the new Leia with the yellow jacket with traditional rebel troopers.
  12. Honestly, I think the minifigs would be the one to go (if one had to). I've had strong feeling that Lego would do a UCS Hogwarts for years, and with a new Fantastic Beasts and a world of Potter fans, I can't see why they wouldn't make it.
  13. Hoping for a lot of figures in Hogwarts too! It'd be great to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Mcgonnagal, Voldemort, Snape all in one set again.
  14. Hoping not to jinx anything, but I REALLY don't think they will be basing the possible Hogwarts set around Fantastic Beasts 2. It will definitely be full out Potter, appealing to all audiences. I doubt they'll do a Death Star thing, including scenes from both. There's just too much of Harry's story at Hogwarts to cover, so I really hope they don't split it half and half. Also, although they'll probably do it like the Disney Castle with many small rooms, I just think that it would be great if they stuck a little bit true to the architecture of the castle, rather than placing many random rooms where they don't belong. Another hope I have is that maybe they will lift this one up a bit on the rocks, like it is in the films, rather than just flat on the ground like the past sets. This wave of sets has a lot of potential, so hopefully Lego revives Potter to the fullest!
  15. Anyone else wish we got the Luke figure in the darker robes? Nonetheless, the version we are getting is perfect. I have high hopes for the Ahch To training set.
  16. Where is the concrete news on this sand speeder? I thought the sand speeder was just what every one was calling the Crait Ski Speeder before we knew the real name. Do we really think Lego is going to make a set based off of an 80s Kenner toy that hasn't been seen since? If it's true, don't get me wrong, it sounds awesome, but it just doesn't seem realistic.
  17. Here's my guess: If they do a UCS Hogwarts, it will just be the Great Hall and Main Tower. That's the only reasonable way of doing it and making the set look like the iconic castle that we all know and love. It touches upon the two most important and crucial parts, and can allow for reasonable sized rooms, rather than multiple tiny ones like the Disney Castle.

  20. With all this news, hopefully we'll get some valid set leaks or prelims in the next week or two! Really can't wait to see these Winter sets!
  21. Any ideas on what the winter sets are? Probably Ahch-To, A-Wing, Ski Speeder?
  22. I feel like we'll definitely get a Luke/Anch-To related set with Rey and some porgs, giving people a cheaper way to get these main characters rather than the AT-M6 and UCS Falcon. Hopefully we'll get the Praetorians and Executioners in a battle pack. Lastly, I feel like the other sets will be the Crait Skimmer and the Canto Bight Police Speeder, but who knows, we still have 3 months till the actual movie!! But all and all, Lego usually never makes the January sets anything crucial or spoiler heavy. It'll probably something that Star Wars already made other products of (action figures, Funko, etc.) but not in Lego form.
  23. So whats the deal for January? Grievous Speeder, Tatooine pack, 4 Last Jedi sets? Also, who is the third buildable figure?
  24. Honestly, if they did make the basilisk, they could use the Indomious Rex head mold.
  25. I know exactly what you mean! But, I think if for example, Harry wasn't in a set but we got Hermione and Ron instead, that would totally make up for it. Harry should be in the majority of the sets, but with a variety to his look, like you said in different outfits!
