Hi andybear@hk, this is a stunning MOC! I especially like the exterior color scheme! The interior gives the MOC an extra dimension. I like what you did with the windows and doors. Are you planning to extend this building with additional MOCs? If the boss is a Barcelona fan, I would have expected "Catalunya" on the cafe. All in all a great MOC! Kind regards, Teddy I still cannot sleep. Getting to three finals and loose them all.

This is so cool! Just awesome! I really like the fact they put up miniature buildings near their actual location. Thanks for sharing.

I completely agree blueandwhite. I could easily convince my girl I needed a second one. We agreed long ago that I will normally buy one copy of a large set. But with this set (it is such a great set design wise and mini-fig wise, and such a great parts pack) I had no trouble convincing her I needed more than one copy.

Haha, cool. poor dude... Serves him right for being a such a show off with his board.

Beautiful designs, nice exteriors. Is it still possible to fit a driver in the red van or does the sliding door prohibits this? Either way it looks beautiful. Kind regards, Teddy

Hi metalgearsolid, You build a nice starting point for a police station. it might be an idea to rotate the stairs 90 degrees and integrate them into the facade. Further I would limit the use of white in the staircase as it is the dominant color of the extension. here is an example of a Hollywood studio building with a staircase as part of the facade: Other example of a Paris ploice station: Further I would like to recommend you to limit the use of the lion statue head. You might want to try and vary the detailing a bit per floor. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Johan

Thanks ACCURATEin! But the idea is not entirely mine. I got the idea of angeling the windscreen after studying Rufus his 7 wide design. My car was getting too high so I needed to angle the windscreen, or build a customized screen from bricks. Personally, I like brick build screens a lot, but for this MOC I preferred to use the regular piece. Although the windscreens do not angle in on the sides towards the top, I like the fact that they are easy to see through. Kind regards, Teddy

Hi Ralph, yes it is clear what you prefer. You build your cars at about 1:45, I build this car at about 1:39. In a combined layout it makes sense to align car scales. For this MOC I really wanted to build a four seater that looks good. Kind regards, Teddy

It is still a WIP. I am collecting bricks and hope to get some building time soon. I actually made some test structures of the upper decks, but I will post them when they satisfy me.

Hi Legolas73, This is such a wonderful MOC, so many colors put to good use and such nice building techniques! Are there some interior photos and maybe some photos of the backside? Kind regards, Teddy

Thanks for the nice comments! Kind regards, Teddy Here is a photo of the cruiser with cops:

Thanks zorbas! Thanks Prateek! Thanks bricked one. I will see what i can do. hi Ralph, I will take a photo with a mini-fig next to it. As to scaling, it all depends on the scale applied. Here is a photo on Flickr: Link to Flickr topic Commonly used scales for mini-fig vehicles range from 1:60 (mini-fig illusion scale mostly used in pirate ship building) 1:48 (small racer cars) 1:40 (rail gauge of lego track), 1:38 (1 feet roughly equals one stud ), and 1:35 (mini-fig is a short guy). Personally I mostly use 1:39, since one feet is roughly one stud in this scale and it is a nice compromise between 1:40 and 1:38. If your preferred scale is 1:48 than you can argue I pushed it too far. At 1:39 (one stud is roughly a feet) I think it still is okay as the car width is below 2 meters. 6x0.8x39=187.2 cm -> 6.1 ft. However, in this scale I did have to compromise a bit on height as a mini-fig has short legs and a large torso. In short: It all depends if you view the mini-fig as a short fat guy or a long fat guy. Personally, I think 6 stud wide cars look good, and 7 is maybe a bit too big. Kind regards, Teddy --------------------------- Edit: Police Car with Cops ---------------------------

Thanks for all the compliments you all are too kind! Thanks WhiteFang! Since posting my police station I got requests for closeups of my police car MOC. So here they are, I will add them in the first post as well: Main view: Front view: Back view: Side view:

Thanks guys! The garage doors were a real pain to get right the size and hinging is quite difficult to match. As for the 4 seater cop car: I got inspired to make a four seater by Rufus his 7 studs wide four seater car, but I wanted my cop car to be 6 studs wide for aesthetics and to better fit into the garage. Further I love Misterzumbi his cars. So I wanted to merge the four seater idea with a Misterzumbi quality car somehow. Getting the cop car just right took the most time and rebuild efforts. B-PM-1A & V-LP-8B Dear all, recently I found some time to build something. I always wanted to build a police station for all the cops I had lying around. The front wall is SNOT and the garage doors are a brick build design. Next to the police station, I build a six stud wide four seater cop car which can hold two cops in the front and two criminals in the back. Kind regards, Teddy Front view: Back view: All sections front: All sections back: Upper floor Middle floor: Ground Floor: Alternate two modules front: Alternate two modules back: The Police station on my shelf: -------------------------------------- Edit: Police car closeups -------------------------------------- Since posting my police station I got requests for closeups of my police car MOC. Real quality MOC! I really love the fact you took the effort to build a fitting interior and make custom decals. Everything adds to an outstanding degree of detailing. As for the roof in dark-red. It might have looked nice to have a combination of the current roof with several small dark red roof bricks. To give the illusion of roof tiles. But, either way, I like the roof as it is.

Super cool! Thanks for the effort. It is highly appreciated.

Yay Bonaparte! Go BENELUX-wathever team! Victory is ours for the taking.

Yes you Islanders have the habit of over-complicating and dividing stuff that is already small enough on its own. Even China has a single name and football team. Yeah I am not serious, NL is so tiny that when you blink driving from Germany to France you will miss it all together. Hopefully I can re-enforce the BENELUX-whatever team this year so we may win all competitions to add to our common glory.

Ras 74, Please don't reveille to our British friends they live on a small Island in the cold North Sea, and that the only reason we speak English is due to the dominance of commerce by the USA. Some still believe the "Great" in Great Britain relates to the size of it, while the whole of the UK is just slightly under half the size of Sweden. ----------------------------- As for the event: Sounds super cool! I will try to be there. Was in Legoland Windsor a couple of years ago. I will try to avoid Heath-row though, because they have a habit of loosing suitcases.

Dear lgorlando, this is such a beautiful hospital. I really like the modularity update. By making it fully modular it will fit beautifully with the line of awesome MOCs you are building. Kind regards, Teddy

Great town and beautiful updates! I just love that Irish pub. It is so nicely done in such a tight space, just awesome.

Hi Marcosbessa, The exterior is amazing and the columns and the interior are fantastic! If I counted correctly the baseplate of the MOC is 64x96 studs which is huge... Are you planning to use the MOC in a city or square and are you planning to expand the MOC with a roof and backside? Kind regards, Teddy

Wonderful building! I love it! Great recreation of an existing building. If you would want to nitpick on details: light yellow would probably come closest in the Lego color guide, from what I observe from the photo. But I am unsure if all the needed bricks are available in that particular color. And one could argue that regular yellow is a more pleasing color variation in a particular city layout. For the smaller windows in the attic I would like to suggest this piece for the trimming: Link to piece on Bricklink. As it is more curved. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards, Teddy
