Haldor looks up at Dyric. "Thank you friend, I appreciate it. And I swear I will do everything in my power to help you when you choose to return and rectify your past." -
Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot

Haldor's face shon red in the fireglow, his mind deep in thought. They were going to war, there was going to be a battle. He thought of the castle, with its cold stone face and unsympathetic walls. Somewhere inside an Elven woman lay, was she thinking of Haldor? Haldor was thinking of her, and tommorow the sky would be ripped apart in fire, but Haldor would find her. He would find her, and if she was harmed, then those responisble would be torn apart. The Elven woman was there inside, and Haldor would find her. The battle would be vicious and bloody, but Haldor would find the Elf, even if he had to lay down his life to save her. -

Haldor's eyes flash blue and he snarls, then launches himself at the beast from the front row, an inhuman rage on his bruised Norse face. -
I have just read through it, good stuff! You have inspired me to build something of my own.

If you are aiming big then I would be astounded if you could build an Aztec/Mayan style stepped pyrimid, that would be a sight to see. Other things that would be cool are: -A village in the Islander style -A large golem using the existing golem face release in the wave -A showcase on how to make the Islanders look more interesting (for example, those pole back crests, weapons, hats, torsos) -A large Islander force/battle scene Just my ideas, great to see some interested in those little guys.

Just noticed, damn you stupid plaything!

Ok fine, Peppy bought the stone a few minutes before me. EDIT: Ha ha! The timestamp tells me I used mine about five hours before she did! Victory is mine!
-
Yeah but Peppy and I got to it first so we win!

Haldor recovered from the blast and hit out at the beast from the front row. -
A ha! I knew she wasn't thick, just too good for everyone else!

I've probably bored you all with Haldor's biography in his quests anyway, but I've put it on my profile for your reading interest. I'm quite interested in Norse culture as a thing, so I had the idea of a victimised individual who didn't fit in with the brutal warrior's ideal. I chose the cleric because I wanted Haldor to be a help to others but still have a relitively high health. I imagine him to be quite intelligent and not weak, I think of him with a thick Norse accent and red hair. Funnily enough he has the joint highest WP in the game. Oh and Peppermint, Tarn did try to infect her a while ago but she was too thick to realise.

Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot

Haldor stands in the forge, the fireglow reflecting of his defined Norse features. He was there in gloom, with the voices. They wispered to him, of things to come. He was there in the castle, was Jess there? Could she hear him? But the voices told stories, things were going to happen. But then he returned. "Gah, shall we move on soon, I want to get this over with." -
Thanks for laying them out like that Sandy. I had a feeling Knights and Mages were the most popular, but we need more rangers and clerics, who wouldn't want to follow in the footsteps of Super-Haldor?!?

"I accept your decision Haddock, and for the record no-one looks the same. Tesni?!?! I don't understand, we're not mercenaries. You can't 'lop of people's head for the highest bidder', don't be a thug. We're here to save the town and Jess, not murder people for money. If you want to act that way then be gone. We only kill if we have to, to make things better, but not for money. We are all friends here, and I have a great respect for you. But if you are going to start killing innocent people, then it'll be over my dead body." Haldor glares at Tesni breifly, then stops and walks over to her. "Tesni, please, don't turn into what we are trying to destroy." -

"If we aren't going to kill Samuel, we can still get his 40 troops by faking Haddock's death. Haddock, if you give us something only you would have then we can convince Samuel that you are dead. You could give us a garment for example, and we could dip it in animal blood and give it to Samuel." See! Haldor is the brains of the unit! -

If we kill Samuel will we lose the 25 troops? "Right, we have seven options: 1. Kill Haddock - We have 40 troops 2. Kill Samuel - We have 5 (or 30, depending on whether we lose the 25) and 3 thick-skin potions 3. Kill neither - We have 25 troops 4. Fake Haddock's death - We have 4o troops plus we have saved the life of another 5. Fake Samuel's death - We have 30 troops and 3 thick-skin potions 6. Fake both their deaths - We have 45 troops and 3 thick-skin potions plus we have saved the life of another 7. Do nothing - We have 25 troops But it is not just about the troops, I personally think that Haddock is telling the truth." Haldor waits while Skrall decides, he doesn't want to kill anybody. But the extra troops might be needed, they could be the life or death of the most beautiful woman in Haldor's world... -

Haldor turns and heals Dyric and Skrall. His eyes returning to normal. -
Probably not. There buildings would use stone but in blocks and chiselings of large blocks, not stacked rocks. The roofs would be wood or stone. Or no roof. They wouldn't have kept cattle, and mostly hunted wild animals. They would use canoes, not row boats. I think of them more tribesmen than cannibals.

Haldor rises from his bedroll, a sad look in his eyes. He'd clearly been awake, worrying about his love, hoping for her safety. He got dressed and walked over to the camp. "Good morning friends, what is the plan for the day? I thinks we should meet the rebels, then soon we can find this castle. And burn it to the ground. If they've hurt Jess I will find them, I'll burn them." Haldor's voice changes momentarily from his coarse Nord accent to a roaring voice with the echo of a thousand souls. The soul of the Norse hero Grischnika DarkBane was clearly interested in the current predicament. He rarely made his prescence known, but Haldor's anger had caused him to rise. But Grischnika's judgement could easily fall ill What if he took control of Haldor and rescued Jess for him, annihilating everyone within a mile? What if he went after McColl, razeing half the town to the ground? What if he ended up killing all Haldor's friends when attempting to kill Wren? Haldor needed to learn how to control Grischnika, lest he destroy Haldor's life in an attempt to save it. -
Am I the only one who can't see Praiter's wubly decals? I'm sorry to moan, but there are so good it's annoying that I can't get them. I wonder if it is my PC, or the link being broken. Maybe someone could PM them to me. But thanks so much for making them for me Praiter.

"What else did the fly tell the frog that told the lizard that told you?!? Did they mention Jess? Was she alright!?" Haldor calms down a bit. "Well then we need to get a move on, so we should probably go to sleep now. Damn." -

Haldor walks calmly over to Dyric. "Friend, you need to calm down. I understand that you've lost everything, but that is behind you now. You will one day be able to return and rectify your life, but now we have a job to do. Hoke and my love are out there somewhere, and I'll be damned if I lose her. You shouldn't have hit Hans, so why don't you go and apologise. And hopefully he'll apologise for insulting you. Violence is not the way to solve this, but be careful or that is what it will become. There is a line, don't make yourself cross it." Haldor returns to the camp, and sits on a rock. He dreams of Jess, of her face, of the time they spent together. His eyes glow blue in the firelight, eyes that tell more than a thousand words...
