  1. Thanks for the help guys. The two sets really are close, but that video convinced me to get Wolverine's Chopper Showdown. And I have always really liked Wolverine, and Magneto and the helicopter look really good in my opinion. Also, I'm very embarrassed to admit, that I didn't actually know which Superheroes were the Avengers before a few months ago.
  2. I love your random questions, like how I love Tanma's speeches. Probably. Haldor would get on with most people unless he seriously disagreed with something they did or how they dealt with things.
  3. Right you are Sir/Madam. My Latin/Greek is ineffective, such so that I can't even remember if Luminous is a Latin or Greek word... Shall I construct a list then? Fire: Pyromancy Water: Hydromancy Earth: Geomancy Air: Aeromancy Ice: Cryomancy Lightning: Electromancy Light: Lumomancy Darkness: Umbromancy Death: Necromancy Plant: Herbomancy Scorpiox's extended list: Sound: Sonarmancy Radiation: Radiomancy Mind: Telemancy Machinery?: Technomancy (Thank you Sandy ) Plus!: Chronomancy (Time) and Spatiomancy (Space)!
  4. Haldor looked up at the Ogress."Your father is a great friend of mine, last time I saw him he was fine. He spoke of home once or twice. As my friend said, I believe that he is far away now, but he'll probably be returning in a few months." Haldor walked over the the side table, and turned toward the Elf, in discussion with Jess."An archery competition? I've never fired a bow in my life, but I guess it can't be that hard. Bartholemew I'm sure will put up a very good challenge for all of us. Have you been aquainted with Jess? She puts up with Haldor, and she probably has a hidden talent for archery, like with many things. Sorry, I didn't catch your name. I am the Nord Haldor Skovgaard." Haldor sat on a chair next to Jess, and waved for some mead to be brought around."Have you heard anything recently about the gnome Szalinski?"
  5. Because I am an idiot, I decided to name the generic term for Light and Darkness mages following the 'mancer' system. For light: Luminomancer (Lumino, luminous), for Darkness: Umbromancer (Umbro, shadow/darkness). How are they?
  6. The Forest by Hinckley, Shadows died, then respawned as a tree stump, then spontaneously combusted.
  7. Is this plan even remotely acceptable? Argh, why didn't this merge?
  8. The whole point of having Haldor is the quest at all, is because I want to host a quest set in the North. There would have to be a reason that heroes would go their, so I invented the idea of people living in Haldor's olf village had been disappearing. Thus Haldor would feel slightly worried because of some people that he cared for might be the ones vanishing, and post a note to try and get some people to investigate the village. Haldor would take the dangerous road with the heroes, but one of the people from his past would prevent him from entering, saying that 'where was he when they needed him'. Haldor would retaliate saying that 'they never wanted him there, why was he supposed to be their hero when he was hated.' There would be a row and Haldor would leave. Haldor would return at the end of the quest to see the result. This was my plan, and it isn't actually an adventure park for Haldor as was percieved.
  9. There isn't really a 'problem' so to speak at first, and there would be no reason for a Nord to come to Eubric to find Haldor, as he was largely disliked anyway. Thanks for the suggestion although. Back to square one then.
  10. I understand, its fair enough. Dunno if there is much point without Haldor, as there isn't much reason to travel to a fairly insignificant Norse village where the only importance is to those who have lived there.
  11. I'm getting together ideas and plans for a quest of my own. I have decided that Haldor will feature as a NPC in the quest as it will focus on returning to his village, is this acceptable Sandy? Obviously any XP and items gained as a NPC will not count beyond the quest. I've finalised some Norse from Haldor's past. The main flaw spanner in the proverbial works is the lack of any large scenes and sets, which I guess is pretty major.
  12. Haldor approaches the two Werehounds and introduces himself. "Hello friends, I am Haldor and these are my friends Nur, Lawrence, Bartholemew and the light Jess. We are looking for Misters Fahad and Falish Jiivni, have you any knowledge of these fellows staying at this establishemt?"
  13. Haldor nudges Boomingham."He was the one who told us how it could be destroyed, so I would think that he is 'smart enough'. "I think this is all, thank you for your time Mister Bluehood. Maybe you should dispose of the carniverous furniture. Shall we leave for this tavern then?"
  14. The loaded die first appeared in Quest #6.
  15. The heroes in Quest #31 should learn not to judge a book by its cover, they have already decided that a man witha beard is evil.
  16. Let Tammo buy the last scroll!
  17. Don't forget Cryomancer (Ice), Electromancer (Electricity/Lightning), Telemancer (Mind/ESP), Radiomancer (Radiation), Sonarmancer (Sound) etc... And I have no idea what 'Erfworld' is.
  18. "Could anyone, say a spell-flinger (Ziegfried) or a hired saboteur, have found their way to the machine a few days before the demonstration? How tight was the security in the past week? Haldor stands silently for a moment, before speaking again and fondling the diamond. May Thoric guide us to justice."
  19. "The Ziegfrieds obviously didn't back the machine because they want to keep magic for themselves. I can see why they would have wanted to destroy the contraption. Is it possible that one of them got near enough to the machine to sabotage it?"
  20. Welcome to the Shipyard. Help yourself to the rum! That reminds me, I haven't done any work for months...

  21. Bow down before the might of Boris Johnson!

  22. If Heroica were a film, one can imagine the facial expressions of the party as he said that.
  23. Mr Szaninski put in a good word with the Ji Pei for us when we rescued his children.
  24. Haldor looked baffled by the constant stream of technical vocabulary from the older man."Um, ok. Yeah, so anyone with the knowledge, oppertunity and motive could have done it?"
  25. Can I have the claws then Doc? Haldor noticed the impolite manner in which his friends addressed the man. "Easy fellows, be kind to the man. Mister, do know of any love lost between Mister Szalinski and the other investors?"
