And as you may notice that my post states very little opinion of mine. The majority of it is actually just a statement.

Yeah, Tolkein is far from the best writer, that's probably why his books are in the top five bestselling of all time, have been made into amazing blockbusters, are taught in schools accross Britain, and now LEGO has a contract to make sets of them. And they sure as hell are dated, and in no-way appeal to the modern audiance. No-one reads that stuff, and I have absolutely no idea why people would want to buy LEGO Lord of the Rings. But let's not turn this into an argument, but seriously, even Heroica RPG takes a lot of inspiriation from LotR, if it was that bad, then why are our fantasy imaginations so rooted in his world?

I agree with the first part of your post, but the second half is a bit off in my opinion. Let's not forget, that acording to the works of Tolkein (who pretty much invented good fantasy literature and stands as one of the best authors of all time) Elves have no lifespan, they simply live on untill they catch disease or are killed, and never look older than about 60. Elrond is over 4000 years-old yet has neither beard nor wrinkles. J.R.R. Tolkein is bang-on in this I think. Lord Something-or-other in Quest #17 looked aged, but that can be attributed to his dabbling in dark-magic. I also agree that Amarysthwyth or whatever his name is doesn't really fit, having facial hair, especialy black facial hair, looks off for an Elf to my eyes.

Got one from The Sun's LEGO promotion. I'd never be seen dead reading that paper but still... The new cowl is a real improvement in my opinion. The wider ears much more closely resemble Batman, and I'm please that they reduced the overall bulk of the thing, especially from the back. The printing differences are annoying, but it doesn't take any more than sliding down the cowl a little bit less to rectify the problem (it still fits nice and snug!), until the LEGO peeps give us a new one. Thumbs up on this from me.

Heroica RPG - Quest #28: The Breakthrough

Haldor nudges Lawrence in the side and whispers to him. We'll have to remember to keep a look out for this 'Rodrigo Devega". When we depart I will see what I can do." Haldor thanked the Elf Clerk and quickly scanned the room for anything out of place or unusual. "Thank you for your help Mister. Is that all we will be needing comrades? When you two are finished playing, we should head off to see what else there is to learn." -

You'll have to do better than that. You should read things before making a statement, yesterday Coryn clearly explained that it wasn't a 'hunch', as there was only the posibility that either C-3PO or him were Sith to have leaked to the other scummies. Your apparent inability to read anything and a reluctance to help on the basis 'that I have been left in the dark' pretty much to confirms to me of your Sith loyalties. If you really wanted to aid the Jedi, you would have honestly tried. You say you didn't see the case against C-3PO relentlessly, you say it wasn't strong enough, yet you still vote for him to try and blend in? Nice avoiding voting for your Sith partner until the last minute. I can't think who would be a likely Sith. Vote: Euna Iladru (Jedi master Brick) Wait! It's day four, but I still haven't done anything naughty with anyone's head-growths, besides chasing Aayla, anyone care to help me out here? -
Of course. Thanks for the comments, I've replied to them in blue.

Although helmets weren't much of the focus of thought in these such situations...

Haldor was shocked as Jess' large quantity of black hair, seriously, he was even more surprised than Nur. Even so, she had kept her helmet on the entire time he's been with her, even when... Such thoughts were banished as Haldor began to help-out Nur in the sorting of files. Shuffle shuffle. "Royal Blue and Earth blue to Lightning Bolt, Grey and Red folders to the Shield, and Tan and Black documents to the Ship folder. How's that?" -

I am sorry to appear at this time, but I have by no means been idle. I believe that we were correct about C-3PO despite the lack of alligence, as the Sith would probably like to spread doubt against Coryn. Euna is continuing to respond to accusation with useless defences and attacks on others. Her defence to suspicion is cementing her guilt, and one of the first signs of flailing is the wonderful 'oh I'm Jedi because I say so and lynching me will only help the Sith!' The reluctance to give ideas and help but speaking regularly has lead me to believe that he really is attempting to evade our gaze. Euna is a safe bet for today in my mind. -

"We need to find out more about Gurnam's investor, hopefully more will be revealed later." Haldor makes his way over the Elf sitting at the desk and clears his throat. "Excuse me fellow. Since Mister Swifthorn is now away, is there anything relating to his opinions or views on the machine that you may have overheard that he didn't share with us? Please tell anything you know, a good Gnome nearly died and we have to track down the one responsible. Have you seen anything that could help?" Haldor then stepped back and clutched at his head, as though feeling an unknown pain. He rested his arm on Jess, before righting himself to hear the Elf's response. "When you've answered our questions, is it possible that we could have a glance at these wares for sale to see anything that could aid us?" -
Haldor likes big hair. Mmm... On another note, I'm going to answer Flipz' question of the Indeterminate Time Period. Haldor's thought can be best described at this moment by How You Remind Me by Nickelback. Great song.

"But sir, do you know of any of the other investers who shared the same sympathies as you? Yes, poor Mister Szalnski was grevously hurt, and it is our job to find the one responsible. You say you despised the project, would this stem to the object of trying to sabotage it? What do you know of the Ziegfried's stance on the matter?" While the minotaur was speaking, Haldor looked over his shoulder and read the scroll on the back wall. Mmm, wait. Jess had a new costume, sexy!. Haldor controlled himself and read the scroll. -
I know for sure I can build this one...

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Three

Huh. Shall I explain? You are one of the ones who accused Volviff, but my actuall point is that Tiin is blindly ignoring the scrutiny on C-3PO to vote for Volviff, when there are clearly more important matters. My reasoning, is that he is deliberatly not voting for C-3PO because he is a Sith too. He is desperatly trying to not lynch his buddy. Clear enough? You've hit the nail on the head. And excuse me, I'm quite clearly a she. How about you come over here and I can prove it to you. -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Three

Yes, but we can't take that chance. If C-3PO is a Sith, which I think he is after night one, we can't risk him getting in deeper. We need to lynch him to be sure. The point is, Hugar shouldn't have known that he was investigated by a Shrink, and the fact that he did means that one of the three were leaking to the scum. C-3PO is too dangerous to keep alive. Indeed we should look at the unhelpful ones. I'm very suspicious of Master Tiin. He ignores all the accusations of C-3PO, doesn't give his opinion at all, then votes for Volviff. Why? The whole assualt on Volviff is a distraction to steer away from C-3PO, and the fact that Tiin blindly followed it without a word leads me to believe that he is one of C-3PO's Sith goons, trying to lead the lynch away. Exactly, this plan is far too open and risky to orchestrate with two scum down. If Coryn were Sith, why would he sacrifice himself to take out one Jedi by leading a lynch on him. It would only lead to his downfall the next day, Sith can't affored those proportions. -

Vote: C-3PO (Brickdoctor) We have to be sure that there is no leak, and the easiest way to do this is to lynch C-3PO. The scum took Master Windu's flailing and finger-pointing at C-3PO as the perfect oppertunity to recruit him to their team, with any suspicion being dispelled by the fact that he was name as scum by a lynched Sith. This conversion would also explain the apparent lack of Sith kill night one. I'm happy about this one. Oh and Master Vos? I will be taking record of the fact that you ignore C-3PO's Sithiness and Vote with him this late, I reckon you'll make a fair lynch for tomorrow. Sith. Nahdar? Anyone? Why won't anyone at least let me touch them? (Damn I meant Master Tiin. Got characters confused sorry.) -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Three
Scorpiox replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Woah, a lot has happened since my meditation. Firstly, the loss of poor Master Corobb is deeply upsetting, his head was so nice and rubbery he was one of the most helpful Jedi among us. What Coryn is saying is very disturbing as well, that C-3PO has been turned to the Sith. I have a twinging sense that it is the truth, as only one of the inner cirlce could have revealed the finding of the lightsaber to Hugar. Master Windu's outburst leads me to believe that C-3PO was on our side at least when Windu was flailing, but the Sith used this to their advantage later by converting C-3PO during the night, after we all we seemed to trust him. The argument against Volviff Monn, I believe, is just a distraction to detract from the much more pressing issue that C-3PO could have been converted. We need to sort this out guys, before any further info is released to a probable Sith. Has C-3PO been told the identity of Sherlock? I sincerely hope not. Bah, with all this I haven't even been intimate with anyone yet. Nahdar? -
*Hopes for a head-tail molesting race that chases Jedi Heroes.* If you wish, I'd be more than happy to construct a race index.

Heroica RPG - Quest #28: The Breakthrough
Scorpiox replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Haldor's mind returned from a far off place. Jess was crying upon his chest shouting words he could not hear. Haldor now saw clarity, in many things. As Jess rose Haldor stood to his feet. The Norseman had to turn as Jess descrated the Vampire corpses, but he couldn't bring himself to say or do anything. Haldor now saw the truth, and soon he would tell it all. He stood back and spoke to his friends. "I thank you Lawrence. For you have saved me grievance. Thoric has spoken to me, and I now see. I was wrong, I know of these creatures from the words and legends from where I was raised. But I was mistaken, it seems that there are others of these 'Vampires' than what is spoken of by the Norse. These were violent, they were different to how I knew their kind to be. It seems they were of a different breed to those I knew. Apparently I know less of this city than I thought, where great things are corrupted into beasts." Haldor then turned to Jess, for he was unaware of why see cried. "Jess, what pains you to tears? I hate to see you with woe." -
Does anyone have any critique for the short piece that I posted a bit back?

Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Two
Scorpiox replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It is now time to cast my vote, and what a shame that there are absolutely no leads I don't see any reason to believe that the result is fake. And Hugar has done nothing to convince me other than 'don't lynch me, I'm vengeful and want to hurt the town!'. This flailing is rather like that of yesteday's Master Windu. If Hugar was a Jedi, why ever would he threaten to deliberatly kill a valuable player, that is as good as a confession for me. I doubt even Hugar would be such a selfish idiot to do such a thing if he were on our side, conclusion? He is not on our side, he's a Sith. So I have no doubt in that I shall Vote: Hugar Sshit (badboytje88). I hope that this day does not go on longer than necerssary now that we have our Sith. But just because we know who to lynch today doesn't mean we shouldn't remain vigilant and look for Sith-tells to act upon tommorow. Since this buisness has gone well, why don't we celebrate? Are you sure you don't want me to pet your head-tails Aayla? -
Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Two
Scorpiox replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That seems a bit extreme. What if the investigator is insane? Or paranoid? Or if Master Corobb is being tricked by a Sith Investigator? I'm inclined to believe that the result is genuine, but if Hugar turns out as Jedi, then it doesn't necerssarily mean that Corobb, Coryn and C-3PO are scum. There are other factors that we have to take into account before blaming everything on two so-far Pro-Jedi people and a fairly trusted organiser if Hugar (which I doubt) turns out as Jedi. I'm definatly voting for Hugar to be lynched. Wha? Why is everybody so mean to poor little Barriss? Of course I will hold your lightsaber while you meditate, just so long as you hold mine why I hover behind you stroking your head gently...
