  1. "You should learn not to judge people on their appearance, oh stone head. As for the riddle, I am not confident, but I believe that the answer is an icicle. The icicle's head is in the sky as it hangs from the glacier, above the sea. It shatters as it hits the ocean and its 'brother' falls after it in a chain-reaction."
  2. Sinner has returned.

  3. I have a large interest in Dark-age Scandinavian history and mythology, plus playing Skyrim (The obligitory Fus Ro Dah! made me want to channel my history nerd energy into a Norse warrior. I wanted to advoid the clichéd big blond Norseman who hacks people up with large swords but says little. I chose to make a more calm and friendly charactr who never reeally fitted in. The appearance stemmed from the face, which was always one of my favourites and something I will never change on Haldor. The long hair worked really well (Despite my big secret which only K-nut knows) and the torso and legs were simple. The furs I made myself out of garden underlay cloth thing, and originally started out as western ponchos, I use them for quite a lot of my customs now, and I have about four pairs. Aww yeah! Haldor and Nur and Skrall would beast their way through any opposition... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flitwick, if going on a quest, you would have to leave Hoptet behind. But how about this: your character becomes both Hoptet and Thothwick. Your stats would be the same in every way, but you could roleplay the stats like this: IMG Thothwick and Hoptet, Blah and Blah year old Male Metasimian lovers Level 141/2 Rogues Power: Blah, Health: Blah, Gold: Blah, Inventory: Blah An attack could go like this: Thothwick coils his whip in preparation and Hoptet runs forward toward their foe. Thothwick jumps up onto Hoptet's shoulders, and is launched forward by his lover's arms. Thothwick flips over behind his target and whips out at Random Rork from the front row. I don't mean to push you or anything, but I'm just putting the idea out there.
  4. Haldor stood up and turned to the stone head."The answer, is humility. Those less fortunate are usually more humble, and many men attempt humility, but when one thinks themself humble, they immeadiatly are not. This is something many could learn."
  5. "Aye, let us set after Swifthorn, to the Academy of Enlightenment it is. Is everybody set? Haldor takes the arm of Jess and prepares to head out. Haldor was curious to meet this Mister Swifthorn, and it would take a good judge of character and evidence to evaluate if he could or would have wanted to hurt Szalinski. Maybe Thoric could guide Haldor in judgement.
  6. "Grgh, my head. That went well. It is remarkable how difficult some machinery is to break. I do hope Mr Szalinski is alright. For a start, I'll patch you all up. Haldor helps Jess to her feet, stands and channels his energy to heal Bartholemew, Jess, Boomingham, Nur and himself, for one ether each.Where abouts are we now? I suggest we start with meeting the closest suspect. Anyone who would want to hurt a poor gnome can't be a good sort of person."
  7. No. CaptainJohnPaul, Triple Shot attacks three targets with an arrow each. Not three arrows to one target.
  8. Me personally, or Haldor? Haldor has always been fairly strong, but very so after becoming a Shaman. Unfortunatly, Sages don't gain any additional strength, in fact, they lose it. So Althior is even more of a weakling since he became a Sage, if that is possible.
  9. It is really cool to see people expanding on Heroica with their own creations. One gripe although, I believe the sumo wrestlers torso would be more apropriate for sleeping Althior. Since when did Althior have any muscles?
  10. Folks say 'fight fire with fire', but what is the point in hitting something that is already on fire with yet more fire? Every self-respecting person with half a brain knows that fire enemies have a resistance to fire attacks. Those guys obviously had no idea what they were on about. 'Fight fire with another elemental attack, preferably water, or if that is not available then attack with a non-elemental strike.' would be more accuarate and helpful to those who find themselves against a fire enemy. Huh, enough of that. "Jess! You seem to be hitting quite hard lately, have you embarked on any further training at all?" Haldor's conscience reminded him that now was not the time for idle chatter, so he resumed kicking the storage tanks, violently.
  11. What was he doing? Haldor swung his weapon at the storage tanks from the front row. This time he would hit them.
  12. I meant .PNG, d'oh!
  13. You could easily attack Canute, which would be more useful than nothing.
  14. "Never could trust machines. Ha. They always break down on you. Why can't there just be an offswitch? Haldor laugheod. Anyone badly want that gem? Or shall we just break those tanks? Haldor stepped forward to rip up some expensive storage tanks from the front row.
  15. I just saw your picture Flipz, and can identify Alexis, Althior and Che. I'm not sure about the one with orange hair. I recommend saving photographs as a bmp image to keep clarity if it is not intentional. And Mehmet/Hinckley casually strolling into the hall.
  16. Haldor coughs and doesn't look directly at Moranis, he turns to Bartholemew who is inching closer to the machine. Haldor advances to provide medical support in case fluid is sprayed about. I have a scroll niw, but othetwise my stats are perfect.
  17. Awesome guide Flipz, nice reference.
  18. "There was a war, a rebellion. The rebels were nasty, the witch tricked us into thhinking they were the good ones. A friend was replaced with a doppleganger who decieved us. In time we realised the truth and it was not too late. We defeated the bad rebels and slayed Wren's beasts, but she fled. I learnt much over there."
  19. I agree that Scubacarrot's ending was good, a nice reflection of the way Quest 6 ended. Doc's ending was epic as is normal with his quests.
  20. Haldor realised that he had more time than he thought, and decided to reaquaint with Althior, who now seemed to be wearing Poundland's finest. Haldor walked over beat him into the ground. . "Hail, Althior. How have you been keeping? I trust that you gave those Elves what was coming to them. I am soon to be leaving to witness the birth of some new technology, but it is all magic to me anyway, up in the North we never had any of that. Why the new guise friend? I now have the powers of a Shaman, I can heal with the blood of my foes. Thoric has decided to sponser me in my quests. He came to me in vision, I have to be strong for Jess, Thoric and for myself. How is everything with your Elven lady friend? Life is harsh, you.ve been kept apart lately. But when I spoke to her a while ago she seemed to miss you. Jess is fair and delicate as a rose as always, but she did try to kill De'kra. As Haldor waited for a reply, he noticed a strange man dressed likea fictional revolutionary in a fictional place called Cuba, how quaint.
  21. Haldor started to lift heavy objects in preparation for the case of heads needing to roll at the unveiling. Hopefully that would not be needed, but better safe than sorry. Haldor finished a preparing his things, nodded at returning Althior. Unfortunatly there was no time for the friends to speak and share tales.
  22. Nah, Atramor looks more like Che Guevara. Viva la revolution! Oh and I am looking forward to the new Wren quest Zepher, but I really want to go on WBD's quest. Just so long as Haldor is in the final quest I'll be happy.
  23. Haldor narrowed his eyes at the questboard, a saw the list of heroes chosen to witness the unveiling of some great breakthroughs in technology. Haldor's name was there with Jess abd Nur, and the Forestman with Boomingham. This was close to being the perfect party to see some amazing inventions. It would be great to go with his love and his old friend. But Haldor would be in deep trouble if Ameli met Jess. Haldor strapped on his gear and prepared.
  24. It looks better in my opinion.

Argh! I've lost a paragraph of my bio, can you remember what it said?

  25. Haldor raised his head again and struggled to advt his feet, De'kra remained as cold as ever, Haldor was still contemplating Thoric's reaction to Haldor's guide. Jess was no longer there comforting him with her beautiful eyes, and Tesni was off questing. Ellaria was still away, Haldor hoped for a chance to see her and the child soon. Haldor turned to see a strange man enter the hall, the tall Norseman walked over to investigate the newcomer.
