  1. Oh man, this is incredible! I wanted myself to make a purple car for a while, but I never researched the possible parts available. This is great inspiration :) The front looks very aggressive and accurate, and I also really enjoy how you made the exhaust pipes under the car. But for me, the rear 3/4 paneling is just the best part of the model as it captures the shape very very well. Congrats of this superb model!
  2. Oh my, what an insane build! You did a good job replicating the body lines, I would say near perfectly. And making a realistic chassis is very doable in this scale and allows for nice details. Honestly, I would 3D a spirit of Ecstasy, just to top of this build, it deserves it. Keep us posted!
  3. I'm definitely getting this one. Tires are really nice!
  4. First of all, thanks for building my model! The updates you did to it are really welcome, and very cool looking for sure. I really, like how you managed to improve on the lacking parts of my model, and you accomplished a very beautiful final result. I only wish the set had better pieces so I could do a better job, but as you've seen and mentioned, the set wasn't quite that generous in parts. Keep it up!
  5. Not sure, but maybe the new 2L ring is compatible with the old 2L connector that could keep the old 2L ring in place?
  6. Ohh man, and I had an awesome idea about this animal thing... I guess I'll keep it for the next contest (haven't started building yet)
  7. This will be very popular! I am glad to see the inverted triangular panels for the spoiler, in black
  8. No MOC should cost more than 20. Even if it a big supercar.
  9. Wonderful build, well done! Really liking how the hood is made with that big curved piece.
  10. Talk about details in a model, stunning!
  11. Considering the context, that is a very nice build! I like how you made the rear taillights, can only be a Countach. Keep it up!
  12. Very cute little build that fits nicely in your lineup!
  13. What a funny build! In the good way
  14. As I said on YouTube, it is very nimble and cute.
  15. Thanks man! The inline 6 was a must to complete the build.
  16. Hi everyone, This is my Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R built out of the 42154 Ford GT set. It is the follow up of my Toyota Supra, which was also an alternate model of the same set. The build process was quite smooth until I built the car in real life. Let me explain.... I built it as I usually do now, digitally in studio. Import the set inventory, add all the reference images, and start building. My main focus was to improve on my Toyota Supra. People complained about some rigidity issues, lacking of the inline 6... And therefore I focused on these, while still aiming for realism with the build. Building started with the front axle where I kept some parts from my old build, but made room for the inline 6 engine, and for the engine details. Rear axle is nothing super special, hubs, 5L liftarms as A arms and these annoying cv joint joints. Annoying because they are so niche. The big frames allowed to make the car super strong, The set comes with two #3 connectors, that I used in the front to get those angled headlights/intakes. Actually I am quite pleased how the headlights turned out, and even the print matches the car well. Rear end of the GT-R is of course iconic, known and used in so many video games... I had to make it instantly recognisable, so you are the judge of that. Double exhaust pipes instead of those big single ones (I prefer it this way). Another thing people complained with my previous build was the lack of 2 seats. So this time I took great effort in "cutting" beams and white parts from the build process, and I managed to get two full seats in. After finishing the digital file, I built it in real life and there were a lot of body parts loose, but nothing major. So I made it strong, and now it is very playable. The functions are as follows: -HoG -inline 6 engine -opening doors and hood -independent suspension all around I really wanted to get a working steering wheel in, but there were no parts left unfortunately. This model uses 1433 pieces which is almost 98% of the parts from the Ford GT. Definitely my best % ever used for an alt. It's quite wild how you scramble for connectors ad pins in the end ;) Of course, in the end I took some photos of it next to my Supra, as I am lucky enough to have 2 sets... A large galley of photos can be found -> here As always, building instructions are available here for the GT-R and here for the Toyota Supra MK4 YouTube video: Thank you!
  17. I have just received my prizes (I chose a white jesko and a Batman set). Thank you very much again for organizing this contest! I have made an alternate for the Jesko, that I will post Free instructions for, next week sometime... Need to build it IRL first
  18. Well, you can make a soft top with a technic frame, and a non LEGO fabric piece. Jeroen has a bunch of cool convertibles, you can have a look at his Gallardo for a hard top and at his Aston for a soft one
