  1. Thanks for the link Darkdragon.
  2. Am I allowed to use the LEGO name as part os my URL for my site? and Can I put pictures of Lego on my site(if they have the LEGO name or not) Thanks,
  3. I can do this using excel. But It would take forever to load ALL the lego's released. Once that is done it would be pretty easy to check what sets you can build, or nearly build. You wouldnt have to click one at a time. We could even incorporate this into a site where you would upload your stuff, then it would spit this out, including a say a % of what sets you could build complete, and the bricks you would need to make those complete. Maybe when I find time, this could get done. Definately possible, but a lot of time to load all the bricks from the lego sets released. Maybe bricklink has that list.
  4. I say keep em. Theres nothing like having the original box.....even if it doesnt increase the value. Just buy another house
  5. Really nice. Do you have more pictures....maybe inside?
  6. I would suggest to simply look at the real life thing and model it after that.(trash on the side of the street, a cop car giving someone a ticket,a hot dog stand, firefighters racing to put out a fire...etc etc) You might have to look closely at the details though. Hope this helps a bit
  7. 16. not how long to actually build it. but how much expericnce (in years) would I need to have before I can even think of attempting something like that?
  17. Hi, I saw this set on brickshelf http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=353987 How long before I can build that(or something close) quite successfully?(assuming i have all the bricks)
  18. Hey, Here is the formula: Real object height(in inches) ÷ Scale value(always std at 48inches) = Size of scale model So a house thats 24 feet high = 288 inches. Using the formula above: 288÷48=6 Relative to the the minifig, your house would have to be 6 inches high. Assuming the average height of a man is 6 feet,it would take 4 men on top of eachother to make 24 feet. The minifig is 1.5 inches(so 1.5x4 is 6 inches)or 4 minifigs on top of eachother. I got this from the book: The Unofficial LEGO Builder's Guide
  19. HTF (how the f) did you do that man!!! I can barely click 2 pieces of lego together!!! Great great stuff!!

  24. Hi, Unfortunately I didnt have lego as a kid(mom and pops didnt have $) But that changes once you get older!! Anyhow,my son just turned 3.........and I knew since he was born that we are getting him some lego....the day finally came. I got set 5933 http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=5933 He is a little to young for it,but hey,get em started early I say What tips can you give me in terms of building. I must say that I do lack creativity(hopefully this wont affect me) I look on the box at the other things that didnt come with instructions, and I have NO CLUE how I could even attempt to build that. Now I want to get myself a "big boy" set.........what would you recommend? Thanks and I look forward to sharing with you on this Forum!!!
