[WTC minichallenge 1] Shadows on the Crown
Professor Thaum replied to Keymonus's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
great, really great -
The colour scheme will be explained of course . For the tumblehome, there's a problem : all my MOCs must be 8-year-old-son-proof it is mandatory... so some details aren't easy to juggle... this boat will be rather indestructible than very cute... I have enough pieces for a tumblehome, but it is far more frail with it than without... I can add more cutouts if it seems more suitale.

I'm very pleased with the real bricks rendering... however, the drift seems very frail .. I have to change it Thanks, all my MOCs are 8-years-old-boy-proof (except for the drift) all the ship is playable, and my son has already tested it. The bowsprit pull itself out when crashing against a wall. thanks for all the kind words... It makes me willing to built some other ships (I have parts for 3 more, and they will be a little bit bigger than this one) thanks ! Thanks, the figurehead was the piece which started this ship. I was seeking what to do with this kind of minifig... and I think this is a good use ! I don't know if it is too big for a class2, but I will check for the correct size. I'm not a very good photographer, but I will try your suggestion for the next time. -
[WTC] Minichallenge- Saboteur
Professor Thaum replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Far west from Nova Malto and east from Tortuga... A cutter is sailing beat to the east Iauln : Lee Shore !!! It's Barney, right in the rendez vous point !!! Turpin : I don't even understand why we sailed to get him back, Oliver. You hired 3 saboteurs, and this perfect specimen is the only one, you press for recovering... It boggles my mind. Doctor Thaum : No stress Dick, the two others are backseat drivers, and this one is the only one which I met while hiring. And Barney is not a bad guy. The WTC and the... spit... count Mesabi could run after the 2 others, who cares, but this one is mine !! Turpin : You're the boss, Oliver. Time to take on board Callaghan ! Callaghan : OK, I'll go ! Spillet : We are close to Isla de Victoria, Doctor, we must hurry. And the wind is changing. Doctor Thaum : You're a wise man Mr Spillet, we will sail as soon as possible, but I need this man ! Callaghan : Should I take one or two turtles back with Barney ? Doctor Thaum: You're a bonehead Callaghan !! Hurry up !!! Callaghan : Come on Barney !! We're getting you back to Tortuga ! Barney : Great !!! I'd just decided that if you won't come in 3 hours, I had to runaway on a turtle heading east !! C&C welcome- 14 replies

The lasts pics : The figurehead : The holds : The Captain, Richard Turpin, former highwayman from Corrington, he left because of some troubles with a local governor, the Doctor offered him to be captain of the Gargoyle. The Crew : C&C welcome, other pics on demand, the Gagoyle is not likely to be destroyed for pieces (too many time for rigging and sails) -

There's a good job on the pier and the water... I really like the way you make the water... the trans medium blue fit well with the base plate standard blue
