Of those two, clearly Coke. But for favourite drink, clearly beer, almost any beer, though most lager beers are crap, still, all beers should be tasted at least once.

Countdowns in sigs? Is there a way?
Quarryman replied to HumanPackMule's topic in Forum Information and Help
The easiest way would be to link to an offsite dynamic picture in your signature that shows the countdown, which is a pretty simple thing to hack together. Something like this (that should count down to Christmas): import Image import ImageDraw import ImageFont from datetime import datetime from django.http import HttpResponse def countdown(request): delta = datetime(2009,12,24,17) - datetime.now() img = Image.open('background.png') draw = ImageDraw.Draw(img) font = ImageFont.truetype('arial.ttf', 12) draw.text((30,30), u'%d days till Christmas' % delta.days, 'red', font) response = HttpResponse(mimetype='image/png') img.save(response, 'PNG') return response The above of course hides away a lot of gritty details, but it should be valid Python code that works with Django. And since I had already written all the code I of course had to put it to use: Pretty sure the board software will strip away any javascript from signatures, since allowing it would be a nasty security hole. -
Galactic Paranoia: One Replacement Needed

Personally I think having them die by drowning in horse manure would be more fitting (hmm, have to remember that for my own game (if I'm ever allowed to host one )) -

Ah yes, the memories. Worst ending ever (looking very much forward to MC2 though ) -
Special event in October 2010 Windsor
Quarryman replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
He's excused, he was busy working on finishing his degree. (next year he doesn't have that excuse though ) Moving out usually helps in that regard, but that brings a whole new set of problems of course. (and of course, a lot less money for LEGO ) -
Gah, you couldn't just paste the link in your post? (way too many annoyingly huge signatures around so I hide them) I look fine btw, but then I was probably one of the easiest to do

It all started out with a mystery clone set set Hinckley pasted, and kind of just developed from there.. See this thread and this thread.

I'm interested too! I'm sure I can handle two characters! -
A very decent clammer, looks very fabulandish (if that's a word ) For my very own nostalgic reasons I would have liked to see the blue Fabuland boat hull used though, but the blue/white one works very well too. And for some reason I really liked the deck What? That doesn't seem like the Ras I know at all, I'm sure he wouldn't do such a thing without reason, which means you must have done something nasty to deserve that

Oh, sweet Really love the colour scheme, the dark blue goes very well with the orange. And lots of nifty details. But yeah, the lack of trash and girls isn't good, you should do something about that. Have to agree there, the landing gear is, well, boring. Luckily it's hidden away so it doesn't detract too much from the visual appearance of the ship. Maybe some skis could work better there, not sure. As for the engines I think they could have benefited from being bigger, at the moment they just look too weak. But overall a very nice MOC, a good start to my day.

The Grand Admiral has spoken Not sure if this is a good idea, but here goes; Vote: Sgt. Tong Pincer / Tiny Pies R Us. (nothing personal, but I'm afraid of the consequences of not voting )
-
Not that I have any convincing arguments, but I could go along with that. And no matter the result at least we will learn something from it, and we have a drastic lack of information so far.
-
Looks like it, so as we seem to have found our rotten pilot I'm sure we can find a better target than Eddie. (Not that I trust you Eddie, but it seems a lot less likely that you're a rotten Black Sun operative too, so I at least won't vote for you. (for now))

And that's two too many -
Greetings everyone, I'm Quincy. I have a great beard, don't you all think it's magnificent? Have to agree there, I also have my doubts about Eddie, he seemed way too eager yesterday to accuse other pilots, looked like an attempt to look less suspicious himself to me. So if we're voting for one of the pilots my vote goes to Eddie.

So there seems to be consensus here for joining forces, wonder when we'll hear about the result of the voting. Guess the Imperials are voting about the same thing, right? -

Not sure that it will save us, but it certainly seems like the lesser of two evils, so I don't think we have much choice. -

The "What happend at the EB event 2009" thread.
Quarryman replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Wow My first EB Event, it certainly won't be the last one, had an amazing time. Very happy that I went for the whole package instead of just going down there for the weekend, three whole days in Guenzburg was just about right. So big thanks to Ras for all your hard work (though you still are the worst admin ever ), and of for letting me stay at your place before and after the trip so we could travel together. An equally big thanks to Holodoc for all the hotel stuff and always being there to translate when English wasn't good enough. And of course, a final big thanks to Copmike for brilliant extras, and fixing all the cool stuff like visiting the model builders' workshop. Also, together with Ras best traveling companions one could hope for, great trip. Apart from that, I of course have to say thanks to everyone who was there and made this Event such a great experience, I hope to see all of you again at some time, sooner rather than later. -
Technically not today, but over the last few days at the EB Event 2009 I've bought: Sets: 2064 6241 7624 7643 7749 8158 8399 4 x 8400 8633 10182 10193 4536875 4553021 Around 700 grams of assorted pieces from the PaB section in Legoland Deutschland And of course the amazing Event extras goodie bag put together by Copmike

Quarryman replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Good thing so many others have posted pictures, I wasn't able to find the charger for my camera before leaving, so I couldn't take any pictures Yeah, I'm feeling really envious here. No, wait, I have all that stuff too, what a coincidence Indeed you have to, personally I can't wait for next year's Event, had so much fun this year. -
Neat topic My titles: Master Pi: suppose it came from having Pi in my signature. You have chosen.. poorly: after killing Hinckley in the Witch Hunt mafia game. (he's still a witch by the way ) Ei saa peittää!: after mentioning to Sandy in a thread that I didn't know any Finnish, except for those three words, which means "do not cover" and is written on radiators here in the Nordic countries.
