  1. Great review You've helped make my mind up to get one
  2. Hi Just had an e-mail from the sun 'Across the nation excitement is building. The time has come for you once again to collect free LEGO toys courtesy of The Sun. The week long promotion begins this Saturday, October 8. Simply collect a token from The Sun every day next week, fill in your details and exchange it for your free LEGO toy at WHSmith or Toys R Us. Ever wanted to own a bar of gold worth £10,000? Well soon you could, we've hidden Golden Bricks inside hundreds of LEGO packs. Find one in your pack and you could win one of our great prizes! We've even got a family holiday to Legoland California up for grabs. So go forth and claim your Star Wars Star Destroyer in Saturday's Sun – and may the force be with you.' So the hunt is on for a golden brick - I wonder if it will be obvious by feeling the packs?
  3. This link suggests the models will be available from WH Smiths and TRU again. (The site is usually reliable!) No postal option but they have made more models compaired to last time
  4. Its good to get some more details My daughter will love the Harry Potter ones and perhaps its no surprise with the new Pottersmore website being launched and tickets to the new sudio tour going on sale in the next couple of weeks. I still can't see any info on where they will be available from, WH Smiths again I hope
  5. Slightly ashamed to say I bought the Sun today and on every other page there is a note to say the offer starts next saturday. The same thing is written on every page: No other info so will keep checking the website over the next few days
  6. Hi Just a quick warning that the next UK free Lego giveaway starts next Saturday in the Sun Newspaper No details on the models available but i'll update as info becomes available
  7. Remember its Amazon UK who set the postage charges for Market place sellers. I know from experience when I tried to sell a few things. Amazon set the postage charge but buyers thought I was just being greedy
  8. Yet again brilliant What I especially like is that the building is not square, and it's not square on the landscape.
  9. Did you have to sign for the parcel? As they are obviously scamming you if you did not need to sign for the parcel the easiest way to get you money is to start an item not received dispute in Paypal (not ebay). If the seller cannot supply online confirmation of delivery then Paypal will automatically refund you. Sellers sometimes supply a fictious tracking number but a phone call to Paypal will sort that out If you did have to sign for it then to get a refund you need to open a SNAD (not as described) dispute in Paypal and you'll be asked to return it by traceable means. This means the hassle and cost of returning it, hence the above suggestion to start an item not received dispute if possible
  10. The ebay seller is clearly in breach of its listing policies as stated here because "Digitally delivered goods and items which are transferred electronically are not permitted on eBay". The seller states that they e-mail the instructions. I have reported the listing because of this and perhaps others could do the same?
  11. I had the same problem and as others have pointed out it was the cable. I had tried to make the cable as neat and unobtrusive as possible but the result was it didn't have enough give
  12. Very clever A great representation of the the real thing, you've certainly got the character right
  13. Keep up the progress reports Its always great to see how things evolve and develope
  14. Another superb building The only problem is that for a garage in the UK the toilets are way too clean and shinny. It's given me an idea of what to do with all those cracked discoloured white bricks that I have
  15. Thanks for taking the time to do such a great review Interesting to see the various features explained and in close up
  16. I live near Milton Keynes and regularly visit the store there. Last time I saw tiles was Christams when they had some 8x1 blue tiles.
  17. Great idea I really can't see HP dying out just because the last film has been released. Considering how much Universal invested in the Orlando HP theme park which only opened just over a year ago, they must see several more years of interest to recoup the money spent
  18. Simply Stunning Always brilliant to see these really big stuctures
  19. Perhaps something may appear sooner if it has more wide spread appeal One example might be a Lego City Heavy Haulage low loader lorry with a small shunting engine as the load - it might appeal to those who don't already have a trainset, as well as those that do. There are some examples of what I was thinking of on this website
  20. With 7 defferent types of train / trainset available as well as the station and crossing I would be surprised to see any more train related items in the next few months? I agree that a new Holiday train would be brilliant
  21. Easiest way to search on ebay is to seach for 'Lego 7938' or for 'Lego 7939' This will give you results which show both the complete sets and the individual parts being sold. There is a centre coach listed as a buy-it-now for £24 but they tend to sell for slightly more if sold by auction (bidders get carried away!) and if the parts are still sealed in the bag Hope that helps
  22. Now down to £7.15 on Amazon this morning! The Harry Potter Forbidden Tree 4865 is also a good price at £7.14
  23. Cheapest way to obtain track is to buy the passenger or cargo sets and sell off what you don't want. Passenger train for example can be bought for £82 from amazon. It is possible to make a center car from the 2 outer cars. You can sell the center car plus the second center car you have made up and get £20 to £25 each for them on ebay after paying fees etc. You can then sell the power funtion bits and easily get another £45 This means you have made your money back, the track and other bits have cost you nothing. You have to put in some time to list things but you can end up with the bits you want as well as making some money as well!
  24. Lego city power boat transporter 4643 is down from £29.99 to £15.62 at Amazon with the option of free delivery
