  1. Ahhh, yes! Very nice! Great colors and texturing here! :)
  2. Oh yes! This is wonderful! Awesome to see an great early Varlyrian build! As you said, the blue building is a little plain, but I still really like it's roof. :) Overall, looks a lot like Jonas's Venice style, but also your own input and style in it as well! Love that little pretzel sign too. :)
  3. Nice job! Good intro! A fun story start and I am exited to see where this goes! As for the build, it has a good amount of business, and the rocks are nice as well. I wish the grassy areas had a little more slope and texturing to them, but a minor thing. Welcome to the guilds! I just joined as well. ;)
  4. Impressive! I second what HQ said. :)
  5. Awesome! Looks very nice! Great colors here, the tree is really nice, and that banner adds so much! Keep it up! :)
  6. Yeah, I'm thinking either mid August or early September it will start, if it does go on.
  7. Yep, that is the next major one, I haven't seen any notifications for it yet though, so they either aren't doing it, or are starting later.
  8. Thanks! :) Thank you! Cleanly run-down is my favorite to build. :) Thanks! :) Thanks Henjin! The sheep I created from a combination of designs between Brick to the Past's and Mark of Falworth's most recent large display. :) Thanks for the critiques, as for the window wooden timbers, yeah, it looks weird, but it also looked weird to continue it to the top, and I was running out of pieces, because I am working on something that requires a lot of red. brown tiles... I see what you mean about the chimney, I guess it would have been good to continue it. ;) Thanks again! :) Thank you! :) Thanks Grover! Yeah, what you see is mostly bricks with the hill, as I have very few plates, which are all used near the edge to get a good looking edge. :) Yeah, the windmill isn't my favorite, the stonework does kinda look cartoony, and the blades are too small, and the pics really didn't capture the stonework... Thank you Zlatan! Thank you for noticing the tools, super fun to make. ;) Yeah, the tower holes I am kinda bummed about. Thanks Kevin! Yeah, windmill blades are too small, ran out of the necessary pieces for the blades. Thanks Kai! The garden was very fun, and a good slap together in at the end. :) Yep, windmill blades are too small. ;P Thanks! Thank you! Yep, sheep. :)
  9. Thanks Henjin! I can see your perspective with the studs in the rocks, I probably should have laid back some. And yes, I did angle the cathedral. :) Thanks Titus! Accuracy was a big part of it, even putting the cathedral in the highest point of the fortress. :) Thank you! :) Thanks, yeah I saw the carrot and was going to use it for a tree, but then there was no room for trees, so I found out it worked for the bridge. :) Super fun competing in my first joust. :)
  10. Nice! Looking forward to what you pull put of the hat for Book III! :)
  11. These are getting good, some top notch builders moved over here, gonna be fun to see Varlyrio take shape, I may even have my character visit sometime. :)
  12. Oh yes! Excellent! So excited for the 18th! This is gonna be Great and I can't wait to join and interact with the community! As for Fingarfelin, I am gonna take a pic of him in my most recent build soon, I am also gonna change my EB account name to my Flickr username, so it should be a good time to switch it. So excited for this! :)
  13. Oh wow, this is absolutely spectacular! Really good job guys! You blew our builds out of competition. Keep it up! :)
  14. Another FB with no story, I am super rushed with the Summer Joust, so I have no time to write a story, anyways, I will have another build up tomorrow hopefully... :) I'll start with my storyline when Book III is realeased. :) This is my second Summer Joust entry, part of the team collaboration category, this is the second part of a four part collab, between Hildigrim Took, Mountain Hobbit, Jako Of Nerogue's and I. Hildigrim's the Wheat Farmer's house, mine is the Windmill where the wheat is processed, Jako's is the bakery where the wheat is made into goods, and Jake's is the market where the goods are sold in the wheat of Wefyrf. As I said, I have been building this over the past two months and I am pretty happy with the end result. :) The end size is 51 x 76 half irregular base. I tried as best I could to match their other styles. To my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be the Glory! :D
  15. Hello! This is my first entry to the Summer Joust, in the 12 x 12 Vignette category. :) Built this in the past two days, and 2 more entries to go! My largest will be posted tomorrow hopefully. As for the moc, this is my first microscale build, so it was super fun to try it out. :) Enjoy! Also, first build for GOH, just a freebuild with no story, not my best, just a quick entry for Summer Joust. I have a lot better of a build coming tomorrow. :) To my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be the glory! :D
  16. Awesome! Thanks for doing this, good to get caught up on the lore of GOH! I've been watching the builds, but I am just now getting into the storyline, so this is super helpful! :)
  17. I like that idea, especially 12 x 12, because it fits in with the Summer Joust. :P And as for a prize or title, I say some special role or title or ownership of land in Book 3. Or maybe not a prize at all, just have it to keep up activity.
  18. Wow! Super cool to see the book two builds! Great to catch up, kinda get a better glimpse of what's been happening here in the guilds. Thanks for doing this! :)
  19. Welcome! And yes, Avalonia is the best! ;) I am new as well, but I decided to go ahead and sign up in the book 3 thread and the book 2 avalonia thread.
  20. Yeah, I agree. Any time you are part of any kind of community in Lego, you really start to improve.I have a group of fellow castle builders that I continually share WIPs with, and it has helped me so much. I wish there was a way to tell that to all the newer builders that.
  21. Yeah, I am wondering the same thing. Of course either way you choose, the leadership is gonna make some people happy and make some people mad, as it always does. So, are you guys choosing based on which guild has the more people interested in it or are you guys are going to decide and have the people follow whatever the choice? From an outside point of view, aka an Avalonian a Mitgardian or a Kaliphlin, I assume most would want something new and exciting such as a new governmental power, while others may want to have the original 4 guilds up and running. Do you think putting out a poll for the members of the 3 other guilds to vote on which guild should be open is better? Or have you guys decided to make the guild choice in amongst the leadership? As you guys are in charge, either way you decide, the regular members are listening to you guys and we will follow. Super excited to get building for Book 3! :D
  22. @Grover Thanks! As for the pic, I have an unofficial one not in a build, so I'll show that. :) Fig is eh, I have very few castle figs aside from LOTR. I joined GOH mainly for the community and building. :) Quick question, you all can see that right? :) @soccerkid6 Thanks Isaac! Hehe, yeah, Mitgardia was my second choice, and it boiled down to the fact that I don't have enough white slopes and pieces to build any large scene in Mitgardia. I struggled debating between the two. :) @de Gothia Thanks! :) @TitusV Thanks! :)
  23. I'd like to sign up for Avalonia! I will start in Book III, so I am not sure if I should comment here, but here it is anyways. :) Sigfig Intro: Fingarfelin - A Human who dwells as a Hermit in the Darkwood Forest of Avalonia. Fingarfelin loves nature above all else and although he is a hermit, he is somewhat social, although welcomed by only a few. He is somewhat clumsy and the only weapon he is able to wield is an axe. His parents have sent him away to whatever life he could find and he chose to be a hermit. He lost all contact to his parents until recently. Which bore the news that his mother had since then died, leaving him with only his father and his brother left. Although he is alone for a good portion of his time, he sticks to his few friends that he has. That being said, super excited to start building for this and I can't wait to hang out with one of the largest castle communities. :)
  24. Alright, I've been wanting to join for a year now, and I have finally decided to jump in on the fun, what better time to start than with a new book. :) I would like to join Avalonia, and I'll have an intro near the time when Book 3 is released. :) I'll go sign up in the Book II Avalonia thread. :) Anything else I need to do until I get my character intro for Book III? Thanks! (Sorry for being unexperienced, I may be asking this in the wrong thread, but once I get started, I won't be so needy. ;) )
