  1. One can only dream, forget your fancy new cloud city sets. I'd be in heaven if I could get 6 orange things in one shot!
  2. This is a great point, yes customs can be made that are this good but they tend to be well known to the community as they are being sold openly for everyone to see. Making a Lando this good seems like a lot of effort to troll a limited number of Lego fans. like everyone here I'm a little excited there is a possibility we could be getting a new cloud city set.
  3. Welcome to eurobricks! It's hard to believe that someone with a collection of retro minifigs that good has only just joined the site. Like all have said before it's great seeing all those excellent old school figs all presented in a fabulous moc. Congrats.
  4. Might be worth waiting for the highly anticipated bounty pack for an IG88 figure. I still have my doubts Lego would make a battlepack that awesome though. The Eraser head is a really good shout if it does fall through.
  5. Looks great. Maybe an area to evolve is the cockpit as it looks a bit too boxy and needs to tapered in more. just a very minor gripe though as this is a terrific build of the ship.
  6. As if I wasn't in love with this build already the video just has me drooling. What I'm most in awe of is how beautifully it looks whilst being engineered to perfection. Its designed and built like an actual real life super car but in imperial bley bricks. The final build quality is just that good. You deserve that well earned beer my friend. ?
  7. I see your point about bricklink, to the new buyer it can seem a little complicated and confusing. Just like eBay it pays to do your research about a seller but I have found all to be reliable and and offer a great service. I suspect most are fans of Lego too so want to offer an experience they would want to receive. Plus PayPal offers a certain amount of security. A little tip when buying brick n pieces parts, if you also order something off the main website you don't have to pay for the delivery charge on the brick n pieces order. So either add something really cheap or combine orders so you hit the free delivery amount.
  8. It's been great watching this develop from the early design. Have to say the shuttle sits very nicely in that diorama, great job. Why not use bricklink to get the required pieces? If anything it might be cheaper and faster than bricks n pieces as you will be buying a limited number of pieces in quantity. My experience with Lego for buying parts is always bad. It has very slow delivery, I'm always missing some pieces and the price displayed on the web can sometimes be very wrong.
  9. The A-wing is one of my favourite ships and this is a great design. I really love how you have captured the chunkiness of the ship and I love the rounded edges. Would be interesting to see how the new fin moulded pieces from the A-wing v tie advanced set would look on your model. im pretty confident that tile is a Lego piece. I'm sure I have one from the sopwith camel set but in green. That also has a matt finish that is very un-Lego like.
  10. It's a tricky one. Personally I would say wait a little bit longer to get more solid information and then sell up if true. I think a good number suspected or thought it likely the set would be re-released but could not be certain. Multiple sources are now saying it is very likely and when cm4sci backs a rumour that's not something to take lightly. I would be seriously distraught if I bought a set for many thousands only for it to be released again 6 months later and at a much lower (but still hefty no doubt) price.
  11. Here are a few pics of my U-Wing as i thought the oficial design was good but maybe a little too chunky. This is at the very early stages of the build, mainly to work out proportions, hence the differing wing lengths. I think I will use the smaller engine types you find on the X-wings as they look a lot more streamlined and attach to the fuselage like the ship in the film. The cockpit area needs to be longer, about 3/4 studs longer and the wings could be even longer. From playing around with my design, the trickiest part will be the troop transport area underneath as anything too large will throw off the proportions. I have a very heavy suspicion that the film used a bit of license on the size of the troop transport area. On external shots it looks shallow and sleek under the ship, however, on internal shots it looks vast. Getting that to work in lego form is a lot harder. The tinkering continues.... 12. I own both and Just built mine. It also has some updates to the cockpit which is nice and the way the three propulsion units are now attached are more secure and pleasing on the eye. Strange they removed the sticker tile on the bonnet from the old version, I'm not a huge fan of stickers but that exposed panel was a nice touch. if you don't own a speeder this is a great little set with sensible Minifig selection. If you own the cantina set it may be a miss I suspect.
  13. The bounty hunter pack can't be real can it? It sounds too good to be true. Surely they will not sell multiple battle packs to the same person like they do now with the faction sets. That being said I will buy a few for the alien heads if true so maybe I'm wrong.
  14. Now that's an imperial army not to be messed with, yet I get the feeling you still have more troops/vehicles not pictured :) Anyway, it made a freezing Monday morning a lot more bearable seeing that. Nice work.
  15. I really like what they have done with rebel packs and figs in general as they are very mix and match like atlas said which allow for great army building. Its a really good battle pack with solid figs and useful parts. If only they had added the green rebel from the U-wing set this would have been perfect because we need more green prints and that helmet is amazing.
  16. Well I was never going to buy tie advanced as it is very overpriced everywhere, however, I saw one for £40 at asda and that seemed like a price that much better reflected the set. Hopefully the builds will be interesting.
  17. There are a lot of batman variants and Gordan has a big pair of specs on so no Biggs this time. Just going to say that the level of detail on the batman cmf line up is just insane. Almost makes plain legs on some main characters in the rouge sets look embarrassing in comparison.
  18. We really do need to see Hi-res pictures to see some of the finer details in the figs so I'll hold off on my final judgement for now but on the whole they look good. Just a couple of points. It does seem odd that the vents would be changed to grey (which they do at the moment) given they look blue in the films. Could this be the "with new hat" version that will force OCD buyers to get the latest version? If that's the case that would seem a very underhand move by lego. As for the Thrawn eye colour debate, I don't watch rebels but are his eyes always red or do they change? I ask because his head will no doubt be a two sided print, maybe one side is white and the other red. Just a little bit of hope for the Thrawn fans out there.
  19. Welcome aboard Helghan. You must be new to the forum, excited for a Star Wars line up and not nitpicking every small detail of a blurry picture :)
  20. As always outstanding work, you really have have a talent for producing highly detailed models no matter what the scale that offer a high level of stability. From my own experience I know how difficult it can be to build something that looks great but doesn't fall apart as soon as you pick it up. you also seem to be producing these models at a rapid pace given your very busy life. Have you ever considered being a Lego designer? It's a pipe dream for many but you seem seem to have a lot of the qualities they would look for.
  21. just a friendly heads up buddy but you're replying to threads that are many years old and the mods like to keep the front pages open for ongoing chats/mods/mocs that are current. If something is really interesting you, maybe send a pm to the OP if its an old topic?
  22. I get the feeling it's you driving up the price of these on bricklink :) How many do you have now? To be fair those battle packs with the stormies do feel an age away. Anyway, I bought the advent calendar, just too many good figs in it to resist.
  23. Just seen the new Batman sets and it just feels frustrating to compare those figures to the new Star wars ones as they have so much going on with dual molding and printing. I'll just make one quick comparison. Robin, a sidekick, has both dual molded legs and arms, whereas Jyn Erso, the main hero of an entire film, they couldn't even bother to give her printed legs. Heck, they couldn't even be bothered to throw on the new Han legs which must be sitting around in a factory somewhere that would have been adequate. Like I said, just frustrating at times.
  24. Lobot has made some great suggestions there. Slave 1 is a must buy if you can afford it but I'd also add imperial shuttle tydirium 75094 as a great build on a smaller budget. It's been out a while and if you shop around a bit you can get a decent discount. If minifigs aren't really your thing then you can sell them to cover some of the cost of the set. You'd be surprised how expensive they can be or as an alternative buy second hand ship sets as people will often keep the minifigs and sell the ship at a much cheaper price. Star Wars minifigs are a big Lego draw so that can work to your advantage but once you have one in hand you'll want more, trust me.
  25. Hi kakureon and welcome. What era of Star Wars you into? Original? Prequels/clones? Force awakens? I think if you concentrate on building on one perticular era/theme it becomes a lot more manageable, less expensive and enjoyable. also are you looking to collect minifigs? Ships? Play sets? UCS? Army build? Let us know what your into and the friendly folk around here will help you out.
