I'm guessing it's just an early April Fool's joke. Either that, or CW is trying to retain their confidentiality.

This is, beyond all doubt, the strangest news I've heard all day. Of course, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing! I'm just holding off any assumptions until I see more; specifically what brand of humor this show carries.

Collectible Historic/Fantasy Minifigure Series
Nerd-with-a-Pencil replied to ElectroDiva's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
1: A warlock: Either a gloomy-looking wizard type, or a male version of the S2 witch--green skin and all. 2: Some sort of orc. 3: A dame/female knight (preferably without pink armor). 4: An innkeeper. 5: Some kind of dragon trainer/rider. 6: An actually good dwarf CMF. 7: An evil queen or king. 8: A bard/minstrel. 9: An alchemist. 10: A viking or Scot. 11: A dark elf. 12: A ghost in medieval costume. 13:A flintlock gunslinger (Like a Pathfinder gunslinger). 14: Some sort of aquatic warrior. 15: A centaur (A boy can dream). 16: A half-troll, following the fantasy era troll design. -
Robots and Zombies are cool, but Satyr was an incredibly done figure, so...

I'm about to finish writing detailed descriptions for four series' worth of CMFs, and I can work on them in one period of school, after my work is done for that class. I can only hope I can get my favorites down before the year ends.
-
And your post got me all psyched up for one. GG.

Demolition Dummy was the figure that got me hooked. I didn't actually buy any until S4, but he convinced me of the wonders that CMFs would bring about.

Pretty weak series for me, so my vote goes to the one of these figures I still own.

Not a bad series at all! I'm also planning on doing a themed series like this, though they're more confined to heroic fantasy. Thinking about calling it "Figures & Fables". My favorites are Sand Demon, Forest Fairy, and Space Police.

Cake is good. In all seriousness, I'm not exactly looking forward to this series. Of ALL the suits, only 2 have ever really resonated with me (Devil and Rocketship). Besides, they've already done pretty much every suit-worthy animal or food already. So I am left to wonder how they're going to manage a full series of costumes.

What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Nerd-with-a-Pencil replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Considering Monster Fighters was my favorite theme ever (I even managed to get the Haunted House), that would be AWESOME. It'd probably need a more generic name, and some action from licenses to make sure people will actually see it.- 97 replies

So, After all this whinging about you one-upping me on designs, I've started to write down detailed descriptions of figs while I seek to find a way to actually visually design them. And it is HARD to make sure my Film Fan doesn't look like your Cinephile, can I just say.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Nerd-with-a-Pencil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Toys...based on toys...based on a movie...based on toys. WE NEED TO GO DEEPER. -
Here's my listings: #18: Scarecrow Special Delivery: This one's just kinda lackluster, and I really don't care for that Scarecrow. #17: The Batmobile: It would be better if they just made some more unique figures for this one but Man-Bat is just so plain. Build's not exactly worth the price either. #16: Killer Croc tail-gator: A 70$ price tag for a set that should be 55-60 at most. Pass. #15: Two-Face Double Demolition: Two-Face is magnificent, but everything else...isn't. Except maybe the Batcycle. #14: The Scuttler: Pros: Poison Ivy. Cons: She's the only thing in that set I actually want. #13: The Batwing: Sensing a pattern here? #12: The Ultimate Batmobile: This one's actually quite good, but it's just2expensive. #11: Clayface Splat Attack: Now we're getting into the better sets. I still probably won't get this one, though. #10: Arkham Asylum: It's a decent-looking build, and a very generous amount of figs. #9: Catwoman Catcycle Chase: Catwoman is a nice fig to get, but I already have two Batgirls... #8: The Batcave: Huge, cool Batsuits, but not exactly worth it. #7: Scarecrow Fearful Face-Off: Now this is a Scarecrow figure I want. #6: Bane Toxic Truck Attack: Bane, the Whirly-Bat, and an actually good big-fig vehicle. The only thing that's keeping it from being higher is the price. #5: Joker Balloon Escape: This meets all my prerequisites for a must-get set: Good minifigs, good parts, incredibly cheap. #4: The Penguin Arctic Roller: Horrible minifig selection aside, I've always been a sucker for 1930s-style cars. #3: The Riddler Riddle Racer: 30$ for 5 minifigures. I'm not exactly experienced in these matters, but that sounds like a bargain to me. #2: Mr. Freeze Ice Attack: See #5, with the added bonus of including one of my favorite Bat-Villains. #1: The Joker's Notorious Lowrider: It's only one of the best cars LEGO has created, is all. Plus the villain minifigures are incredible.

what ever happened to lego worlds?
Nerd-with-a-Pencil replied to azog's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I still like this game. I stopped for a while 'cause it ran like crap on my computer, but it works way better now. Anyway, why I came here: you know what I want? I want the zombie shark from the Silent Mary set in here. The zombie Pirate is one of my favorite characters, and I would love some fitting transportation for him. -
(I already did the Hatmaker, but whatevs)

I finished my bios. It's okay, 8BrickMario. Yours are better than what I had planned anyway. I can only hope Eggy agrees with me.

Alrighty-roo, here's my bios: Cartoon "Gosh! Everything's so colorful 'round here!" We all know the story of a lonely old artist who wished for companionship by the evening star. This time, there's a twist. Brought to life by the magic of the Genie, this Cartoon kid has a lot to learn about the real world. Mostly things to do with his temper. The Cartoon is a nice guy, but he's fairly hotheaded, and unfortunately for his antagonists, he hasn't quite figured out that if you ram a flesh-and-plastic minifigure into the ground with a mallet, they tend to get hurt. A lot. At least he knows that he did something wrong. Android Woman "Sir, I Fail To See How This Plasma Minigun Aids My Primary Function." The Android Woman was built by the Robotics Engineer to help those who need it the most. Due to her programming, she believed this meant aiding those with disabilities or other problems. The Engineer, however, had a much more martial purpose in mind. Between the army-of-the-week over in Ninjago to countless alien invasions, it was clear that the world needed a protector, and the Robotics Engineer built one with more firepower than a platoon of Galaxy Patrol. Unfortunately, the Android Woman would rather volunteer at hospitals and dog shelters than protect the city. But the Robotics Engineer knows that one day, when the time comes, his masterpiece will save the world. Celtic Battler "The skirling of the pipes shall herald our victory!" If there's one thing that the Celtic Battler knows about battle, it's this-- no one wins by following the rules. It's how she rose to prominence as a woman and a warrior, and it's how she's still in one piece (so to speak). Let's face it, when you're face to face with the biggest big-fig of a troll in the enemy army, a minifig-sized bow or sword won't do much, will it? So, instead she grabs the troll, and makes him her weapon. This pragmatism never ceases to impress her superiors and confound her enemies, and it's the prime reason for her flawless winning streak. Winter Sprite "Sigh. Isn't this just a winter wonderland?" The Winter Sprite has the best job in the world. Starting every October (or May, for the other half), the Winter Sprite gathers up his materials, and zips around in the quiet hours of the dawn to paint beautiful pictures of frost, dump buckets of snow on every house, and make some school-age kids very happy indeed. Sometimes he even stays on into the daylight to enjoy his handiwork with the children. This makes them less happy, since he's always the best snowball fighter! Police Woman "NOTONMYWATCH" LEGO city has a police force the size of a small army. So why, exactly, is this one Police Woman the first to every crime scene EVERY TIME?! Seriously! The perp could grab a candy bar from a convenience store when no one is watching, and the Police Woman will be waiting for him in his own getaway car. At this point, half the force is convinced she has superpowers. Spooky Knight...has been claimed by 8Brick. Hat Maker "Stay for tea? Why, I'd love to!" The Hat Maker loves two things in life: tea, and making hats. Sadly, the chemicals involved in his millinery exploits have affected his brain, making him a bit crazy--don't worry, it's Space-Guy crazy, not Birthday Clown crazy. Most of the time these days the Hat Maker is away in his own little fantasyland, where cats vanish until only their tail is left, young girls hold tea parties with rabbits and mice, and evil queens clamor for the removal of her enemies'...legs. He's thinking about writing a book based on it. Homebound Guy... has also been claimed. Sorry for my petite catastrophe; I was not aware I posted before I was finished.

Rob, this might be your best series YET! I shall list my favorites while simultaneously dibsing my bios: Cartoon, Android Woman (Way to do a lady robot RIGHT, can I just say), Celtic Battler, Winter Sprite, Police Woman, Spooky Knight, Hatmaker, and Homebound man. EDIT: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaitaminute... glad I picked the Policewoman

Welp, guess I can add "Party Kid" to the list of figures I need to redo on my list. Curse you, lack of time, skill and drive to get these things designed.
