I own one dog and 4 cats. Apart from shedding a lot of hair the dog doesn't pose a threat to my collection. The cats are a different matter though. Not only do they lose more hair but they also like to check out my MOC. One of them literally pulled it to the ground. Quite an achievement considering the MOC weighed over 5 kilos (about 10 pounds) and was placed on a very stable surface. Let this be a reminder to everyone who owns a cat. Never leave a short piece of string hanging out of your MOC, not even half an inch Errorist

38 non-shooting cannons with a brown base. 8 old shooting cannons with a red base. I'm not such a fan of the new cannons but soon I will be forced to buy some of them I will probably spraypaint all of the cannons black for added realism sometime soon. Errorist

Coastal Gates in Zadar, 16th century, Historical MOC
Errorist replied to z_zadar's topic in Pirate MOCs
This is a very nice creation z-zadar. Those stages are looking really good. And as for the gate, normally I would like to see some darker coloured bricks amongst all of that white but this looks great nevertheless. The lion is my favorite detail. What part did you use for the wing? I don't recognise it and it looks really useful for one of my ideas for my own project. I will be keeping an eye on this project Keep up the good work Errorist -
The Lion of Luebeck (sistership of the Adler)
Errorist replied to maydayartist's topic in Pirate MOCs
That's a very good technique. It makes the ship look a lot more realistic I also love the way you built those gunports. Very cool MOC!! Keep up the good work. Greetings, Errorist -
I agree with SlyOwl on the stairs. I think that it would be the best option you have right now. A ladder might work as well though. This MOC looks very promising. Keep up the good work Greetings, Errorist

Looks great, I like how the smoke was done and how the faces work so well with the MOC. Great job

That's one beautiful MOC you got there Kris Kelvin The cog is my absolute favorite. Amazingly done that one Same question as Teddy though, do the buildings feature an interior? Very good work indeed Greetings, Errorist

10 beers to 1 brick Working with these two guys was awesome and I sure hope we can repeat it somewhere in the future. I love the pictures Boney. Especially the one with my huge hands on it And imo that picture with the third yellow line proves that a three-decker is definetely a possibility

Le Fourageux, French third-rate ship of the line, minifig scale!
Errorist replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Pirate MOCs
It looks good but I would like to give a couple of suggestions though. I would add a wall (with a small opening) between the galleries and the actual cabin as this is more authentic. Furthermore I would add some sort of toilet in the galleries. The last thing I would suggest is using yelow windowframes. It looks like you're building a nice ship there Cap'n. The technique for the galleries is pretty good and I ove the fact that you're adding an interior. Looking forward to seeing some updates Great job, keep it up Greetings, Errorist -
Bonaparte, one word: magnificent!! The sails make her look ten times better. Can't wait to see her again in real life Great job Greetings, Errorist

Your parents swimming pool would do just fine. You already have a perfect place to shoot the pics in that little area they have over there. Just a suggestion though. Just make sure you return as soon as possible and update those pics Greetings, Errorist

Dutch VOC ship the Prins Willim, minifig scale!
Errorist replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Awesome job CGH. The updates look really cool as always. I have to agree with Teddy on the last seven bricks at bow though. Other than that everything looks perfect But we'll discuss your ship in other places. Keep up the good work Greetings, Errorist -

Don't say that too fast You might be surprised somewhere in the future That's a good tip however it's better to see if the largest width of your ship fits 4 times in the total length. Pretty much impossible on prefabs though so don't mind this comment Joey as for your new project. I think it's a great idea to do a three-decker on prefabs. It seems you and the captain have already discussed a lot about it. The final version looks good however I feel that you should go with the 2-brick high slopes. Otherwise your hull will be way too high. Or you could just add another midsection or so. Just a suggestion though Looking forward to seeing more of this project. Greetings, Errorist

Dutch VOC ship the Prins Willim, minifig scale!
Errorist replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Never Love the bilge pump Captain. So simple and yet so effective. Those minifigs are great too. As for the cannons, weren't you going to paint them black after engraving them? Keep up the good work matey Greetings, Errorist -
You took of the entire mast? Wasn't that like a major challenge with all of the rigging that was already attached to it? I'm glad you're going with the gaff-sail instead of the lateen-sail though as it will definitely improve the look of the ship. But I already said that last time didn't I? The anchor worked out well I hope? I know your ship will be as perfect as possible because last time I saw her she was already near perfect. Greetings, Errorist

I concur True, however BL isn't much cheaper if you were to order all of those bricks over there. In fact it's more expensive in some cases. Something I found out the hard way Greetings, Errorist

Good job on the ratlines B. And when will this beauty be finished you think? Keep it up matey Greetings, Errorist
-
You are going to be ready before we get the chance to build a bit on this beauty again Still, being able to participate a little in this project was a lot of fun and I sure hope we can conjure up something similar in the future. Ps: CGH are you absolutely sure it was all of the hard work that made your back ache? Greetings, Errorist

This looks like a very promising MOC. I can already see some really nice techniques. Can't wait to see this one finished. Great work already, keep it up Greetings, Errorist

Great work CGH. I love the dark red in those gunports. Would it be expensive to do like 38 or so of those? As for the interior planking, I agree with Cap'n Blackmoor. You might want to try that approach. Keep up the great work buddy Greetings, Errorist
