Errorist

This is my official introduction to these forums :-P I have been shadowing them even longer than my brother ( hairy ruben) The name is David. I live in Belgium. In Antwerp to be specific. I'm currently 21 years of age but that will change in less than a month. I love building ships with lego and with LDD. But i also love my girlfriend, music,festivals, gigs, movies, ships etc... Well that's me in a nutshell

Well that's what i had in mind :-P a red with black colorscheme with black gunports Will it work you think?

Ok i have been thinking about a radical color change. Would you guys think that red (with black gunports)and black instead of brown and black is a good colorscheme?

Maybe you know the book ;-) it's this one It is the book i used as the guideline for the construction of my cross section and to an entire ship if i would follow hairy ruben's advice :-P Anyway i really like your armys especially the dutch keep up the good work *sweet*

I don't know. I just never got the hang of MLCAD. But i (hopefully) found the solution.I'm just going to design the empty hull and design the cannons in another model and then when they are all finished i will buy the thing :-P

indeed you got me there unfortunately there is such a thing as having too few legobricks(like we do) *sad*

Maybe these pictures or these could help you out. But just maybe because i never have done a complete brick built hull. I only do waterline models because they are easier to do with ldd. Hope this helps ;-)

I was hoping that the program wouldn't crash but it did. i have to remove the guns now and almost all of the details and then maybe it wil work again |-/ sucks doesn't it |-/

Yes I know, the scientific international system is the metric system, I learned that in physics class. But your system is so confusing. :-/ Anyways, I don't really need this topic anymore, since Tiber has helped me with my question by providing me with the invaluable answer I so desperately sought. The one I actually wanted to hear. I'll use 1 cm = 10 km ;-)

This is a really nice ship. I really like the way your stern came out . The guns give it that extra feel. *sweet* One question though: how many hull pieces did you use for this ship?

jep that's the way i aim to build my cannons but just a little smaller. Like the guns on the second gundeck of my cross section. because these would work better as 24pounders. i find the big ones too big and heavy for my taste.

Yes indeed the problem that occured yesterday too.but hey keep on trying;-) It seems the ships have been moderated now.

Here it is ;-) doesn't seem to work so when you enter the gallery of lego factory just typ Errorist at the username section and perform the search *wub* Thank you for appreciating these 2 ships so well I'm a bit surprised since i think these two ships.... well....they suck in my view :-P Especially when i look at my newer designs. But hey these 2 were my first 2. I used to have a 60 gun ship too but sadly it has a problem that doesn't allow me to open it. Ow and it would appear that you do not have to wait until thursday.

Well once i've finished this model i will probably order it through LF . I still have to figure it out how it all works though because le bonheur is a bit difficult to order on LF and i have no idea why, maybe it's too big and expensive (6000+ blocks and 770euro) But i'm keeping track of the amount of blocks used in the frigate and if i can't order through LF then i'm ordering it through Bricklink. this the link for ordering LE BONHEUR ;-) P.S. cost sofar is around 300euro
