  1. Buying on small quantities, the price has little effect, but as you mentioned people won't buy as many anymore.
  2. Oh wow it is really expensive there. I hope we don't become like that
  3. Yes I agree. It's a scam so that when the real battle packs come out with normal figures the increase is not worth it at all. Buying 1 or 2 is fine, but on mass quantity it really hurts your pocket. That one certainly is. However when buying dozens of these it hurts. You're missing out on 3-4 battle packs essentially. But for small buyers it is not that big of a deal Yes exactly. For mass quantities now we will have to wait for sale before buying them. I hope that sends a mesage to lego about the price.
  4. The new battle packs are now $15 sadly. The ones that will be released in 2017. I hope they don't continue to raise prices Yea I agree you get figures worth more than $3 with that battle pack, however for the sake of army building it is awful. I mean it's not like someone is going to go out and purchase 30 bounty hunter battle packs, but for the sake of stormtrooper/clone battle packs it increases a 25% on the figure. I would rather buy off of eBay. I guess inflation does have some play behind this increase.
  5. Well hello, I just wanted to start a discussion about the recent battle pack price increase I honestly think this is rediculous. $15 for the new First Order transport battle pack. What do you think about this? why is there such a large increase? will this continue? I'm not going to purchase any more battle packs unless they are Clone trooper battle packs (which Disney does not want to make). Hopefully the lego community has a strong response in revolt of this increase.
  6. Oh wow! I don't know anyone who owns one. The only reason I have seen them been sold is when people really need the money.
  7. Oh wow that's really interesting! I haven't seen any of the 2008 events for sale ever. I have seen the 2002 in the past on eBay and such.
  8. OK thank you! I know they are a little unknown, but they are super awesome. Imagine all those clones for an army.
  9. Well hello, today I have some what of a question/general discussion about an item Please please don't merge this topic with anyone else or else I may not get an appropriate response So I recently purchased 34 of the Episode 2 clones from the gunship 7163 and ATTE 4482 back from 2002/2003. Here is a picture: I understand that sometime in May of 2002, Walmart held an event of which kids built as many of these in 1 minute as possible. They were under orders by lego to destroy all items after the event. Here is a look at that: As you can see this came with 150 clones. A few people managed to get away with these. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one of these? I would pay hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for something like this. I have seen them on eBay before, but they never had the box. What is someone's thought on this? Again, plz plz plz don't merge this topic and let it stand on its own. I know there may be similar topics, but I hope to get an appropriate response. Thank you.
  10. I think they are near impossible to find. Btw, your name made me laugh. "Cannot remember his own name" with a picture of smeegle talking about fox. So clever!
  11. I wouldn't open it. Eventually I might force myself. I mean you got such a good deal as it was. Doesn't that just seem so weird that the fact that some plastic things are inside a little plastic bag and just the fact that the plastic bag does not have air coming through on one end makes it worth so much paper (money). Weird to think about how we determine what is worth what.
  12. I bought 20 of the original episode 2 clones (my profile pic) for $65 from 2002.
  13. I really wish they would re release that clone building event. Never will happen and for that reason I'm glad those clones are so valuable. I now have 34 of that kind. Even a new sort of storm trooper or clone I would pay up to $300 for. $3 a clone I would buy any day.
  14. Thanks for sharing! It's candy to the eyes. This has made me very excited to pull out my winter village sometime soon as the holiday season is drawing near
  15. I honestly like the older ones. The nostalgia. I keep all my minifigs for a military
  16. Nice this may have encouraged me to set up my own scenes
  17. I always have been fond of the original Star Wars, the pre clone wars Lego Star Wars is what if consider the "classic" original sets. Of these some of my favorite are 7163, and 4482. Love the original clones. I have 14 of them. All Star Wars is to love though
  18. Awesome review! Well worth my time! Candy to my eyes!
  19. Cool set! Cool review! I am fortunate to have 1 of these, and one more coming in the mail. So soon I'll have 2. Which I did notice you were missing the stickers on your set. And you had a few spelling errors, but good job! Do one on the at at and it would be worth my time!
  20. That looks really nice! I wouldn't change a thing! But if you were looking for suggestions some areas look a little blocky, maybe use a little more detailing. Love this though!
  21. Good point... They seem to not consider all age groups like they once did. Oh well doesn't mean you can't still collect
  22. Is it just me or does Star Wars seem to keep moving towards a younger audience? We used to get these nice collectors models, and UCS stuff, and any older set is kind a collectors piece now. But now it's all about money so they make it more kiddish. For example the UCS hoth base is just a big play set, not a collectors piece. I wish newer Lego would change back to a more general audience. Do you think they will change this ever?
  23. It's so dumb. Print the pieces Lego is rich they can afford it.
  24. Not a bad idea. But I mean really, some of that stuff is just unavoidable. For example, you can't take away guns from Star Wars figures. I mean that's going overkill on the liberalism. There is a lot of garbage that chases teenagers away though, like all this new spy, pirate, and whatever the heck stuff, and makes Lego directed to more of a specific audience, and starts to exclude AFOLs. It's been in the history of Lego there has always been guns. I don't care and actually prefer it, it makes Star Wars feel more like Star Wars. That is such a good point.
  25. Stormtrooper aren't clones. According to CW and rebels. They all deserted or were kicked out after the clone wars, due to being able to think for themselves again after the order 66 chip shut off.
