She twirls her Healing Staff in her hand, before drawing it back in a wide arc and aiming it squarely at Tarn. She very much hopes no-one notices she has her eyes closed, just in case something bad happens.

"Are you insane??? After what nearly happened with Hans? I could end up incinerating someone!"

"I appreciate the healing, Atramor, I really do, and while you're doing that I shall sit this round out. If that Maw hits me, I'm down and there's no point just going hell-for-leather against one guy. Plus I'll get burned at the end of the round, too. Plus healing isn't always reliable. So I'll just sit over there and read my book, then hopefully I can come back stronger next round and carry on the good work. " Nyx, limping slightly, heads over to a quiet corner, well away from any of the fighting, and starts to study her book carefully, hoping that Atramor can channel some healing energy her way.

A hell of a lot seems to have been happening around here. I wouldn't actually be that surprised if Shanalon had some sort of ridiculously convoluted relationship with the investigator, and if true then it does add a good layer of protection for them. It's such a bold claim, and I just can't see much benefit for the assassins if Shanalon is lying. I cannot reconcile the idea that the assassins would make a false claim so early, not without a huge potential gain somewhere, and I can't see where that gain would be so early in this ordeal. Right now, the only logical thing to do is to test the claim by lynching Ruben. There is always a risk that we might get it wrong, but Shanalon seems to readily accept her fate should that turn out to be the case.

Nyx scowls at the disappointing rain of 'pebbles', clearly she was expecting something slightly grander, but she had yet to get used to her Garnet fully. She was quite pleased, however, with the satisfying 'thunk' her weighty book made on contact with Maw. "Thothy, I agree with chicken-man, It'd be best for Mallelio to heal you first, and then hopefully next round we can look to having me and Mallelio healed, although more urgent healing may be required, who knows? There's no rush, though, and if needs be a wounded fighter can sit out a round or two to regain their strength - just as long as someone's always targeting that chattering Maw. There's no benefit in having Mallelio target Maw; he'd only risk taking damage for not much offense, so he's most helpful (and safest) acting as healer. I shall continue to fling Darkness magic at Maw from the back row."

"Uhhhm, we don't have Hans, but we do have Mallelio, and it'd be handy if he started healing Tarn so Tarn can continue his front-row assaults in the rounds after the next round (and then Mallelio might be kind enough to start working through healing the rest of us?) Naturally I plan to smite this chattering fool Maw with some Darkness magic, from the back row. I'd to see my little spider, but that might be too much to hope for. "

Indeed, Charles if you are going to vote I would have thought you'd do it properly. And I kinda thought someone in your position might want to give some reasoning as to why you'd like us to unvote you? Not just reasons why you're (trying and failing) to vote for Bess?

So people are voting for Charles for being worried about having too many women and wanting to chuck Clemence overboard for having a beauty spot. And then others come along and vote for Bess for not knowing what to do, yet insisting we do something, while also possibly stepping in and defending Charles. If Bess is defending Charles, then they might both be scum, and without any better candidates (extremely unlikely on this first day) it makes sense to vote for one of them. I think I'll actually Vote: Charles Pleasance (CallMePieOrDie) to keep it at a nice and even three votes all. I'll be curious to see how the voting evolves from there and it'll hopefully prevent any sudden bandwagonning. I certainly wouldn't want the day to end in a tie and without lynch, so I'll be very happy to unvote if no-one else comes forward and places their vote (which really should be unlikely at this stage), or if Charles and Bess remain tied despite more voting. Of course, if we are presented with better reasons to vote for anyone else, or not vote for Charles, then I shall change my vote appropriately as well.

Nyx steps forward from where she'd been leaning against a wall examining her nails and listening to the odd creature in front of the group babble. "You will kill us, Maw? I think not." Nyx then begins to summon a whorl of Darkness magic to hurl at Maw from the back row. "Mallelio, it may be best if you do not target this fool, but rather save your Ether for healing so we may best use the Witch for his offense?"

Nyx remains happily in the shadows, watching and assessing, subconsciously maintaining a battle stance. She sees Thothwick temporarily stumble and recognises that he's having yet another vision. There is tension in the air, so she just mumbles something about being a girl not a bloke and keeps her eyes on the strangers.

Where's my chicken leg? Has someone stolen it? Or did it fall overboard? I was enjoying that chicken leg. Maybe it's over theeeeereeee..... *Stares*

Pandora really isn't a common name, and I would think my username would be reasonably well known enough for you to realise the association. This is not cool, seriously not cool. It was quite a struggle to keep the good people here safe and to protect you, and it may seem like not much has happened, but thank goodness you are safe, and there are still people here to hear your speech. Oh and Atramor, don't worry about healing me or Tarn, our Barbarianness allows us to regain health after battle. And Thothwick, the reason Atramor and I have a debt of gold to Wren is that she challenged us to be able to come to fight with you guys. I think I owe the old hag 10 gold or something. "
