  1. "That's a good point. Although the archer is probably right; he may think we are the enemies if we're lighting things on fire." "Oh no! Now he can't be an adventurer anymore!" "A visual approach, huh? Well, there are no mages here (I've still got a couple levels to go), so we can't send up fireworks or some other hocus-pocus to make him come back. Elgar sending up a rain of arrows won't to much good either, since the enemy uses arrows as well. Maybe we could go to the tomb of Miekhal Lightbringer and pray to make it shine or something?" "Or maybe we could yell at the top of our lungs about how happy we are to welcome orcs to the fort?"
  2. "Maybe we could fire a flaming rock from the catapult to signal his men? Although, admittedly, it has a pretty good chance of wiping out our reinforcements." "Might be worth a try, though."
  3. Yeah, I think the main reason why Rarity is best pony is because of all the character development she's had throughout the series. When I first started watching MLP:FiM, I was completely expecting her to be the obligatory shallow throwaway character, and I was very surprised when they avoided doing just that. Still, you have to admit, Queen Rarity was pretty funny. Me, obviously!
  4. Haven't you heard? Blunt horns are in this season. Wow, you held out for quite a while! I was only able to resist for about a week. I'll have to agree with you there. Truth be told, I actually only made one because you and Aanchir did. All aboard the pony sig-fig bandwagon!
  5. Oooh, if you need extra players, I'd definitely be interested!
  6. "Finally some progress!" "Cronk, Sir Glorfindel and I will continue to man the bastilla like you asked, but if you ever need healing, don't hesitate to call me over!" "Now, for our next target: Infantry Z can move to either E4 or F5, Infantry Y (the one on D5, right?) can move to C5 or D4, and Infantry X can move to either B3 or A4. I say we go for Infantry Z again, as they have the most men left." "It's a real toss-up between E4 and F5 for our target this round. Logic says they should move to E4, but they might move to F5 to surprise us. What do you think, Sir Glorfindel?" OOC: Since each siege weapon only does a fraction of health to each enemy (even when they're already damaged), there's no way to defeat the enemies with siege weapons, right? But the more we hit them the less men climb up the walls?
  7. "There really isn't much else to do, unfortunately. We will fire ballista at E5!"
  8. My minifigure came in the mail today! It's the short clown! Big thank you to WhiteFang, DarkFang, the EB staff, the LEGO group! Thanks, soccerkid6!
  9. "Well, at least we were able to whittle down the numbers of Cavalry W! Both cavalry units will reach the walls this round, so there's no real point in attempting to target them. B4 and E5 are almost guaranteed to have infantry units on them this round, so I think both of those should be targeted. Since the ballista is more reliable damage-wise, I think Leo and I should target the Infantry with the most health (Etzel, that's E6, right?). Cronk, what do you think?" "And Elgar, I think maybe your archers should fire upon C1, just in case the other cavalry unit decides to take a bit longer to scale the walls."
  10. Well, this was a pretty good game, and I certainly regret not signing up for it! The characters were interesting, the setting was well put-together (although I'm a bit of a sucker for town-settings!), and the story was very well thought out! I enjoyed following this game very much! I have to admit, I never saw that ending coming. In fact, Peanuts and Cornelius (along with Fugazi and a few others) stood out to me as the most pro-town players in the game! I was almost completely sure that the killer was Rumble Strike. My main criticism of you as a host is the amount of action you took against the players. Making four modkills was going way over the top. I completely understand your frustration with the inactivity some players were showcasing in this game, but I don't think making that many modkills is really necessary. It causes way too much confusion (I honestly thought that the deaths of Jedi master Brick and Dannylonglegs were the scum's doing at first) and takes suspicion away from the people you kill, which can make a big difference in the game, since the inactive players are the ones most likely to be turned on by the rest of the town. I'm sorry if I come off as a bit harsh here. I understand that mystery games (and all games, for that matter) take a lot of work to prepare, and it's obvious that you put in that effort to make this a fantastic game. Great job.
  11. "Yeah, I suppose that would probably be the best course of action. We fire the ballista at square H1!"
  12. Sure thing. Chevy Tristan.lxf
  13. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the "Friends" theme. (Although maybe I'm a bit biased because I'm hungry for those new parts! ) There's no reason why girls wouldn't want to play with non-'girly' LEGO sets, and there's no reason why they shouldn't. However, the girls who want to play with Castle, Star Wars, etc. already do. LEGO is obviously trying to reach beyond their current demographic with this theme. There are countless little girls out there who disregard LEGO and other gender-neutral toys as 'too boy-ish' and only play with stereotypically 'feminine' toys such as Polly Pockets and Barbies. If they see a LEGO set that looks like what they're used to playing with, then they will likely be more open to it than they are to other themes. In other words, LEGO is not trying to restrict girls into a little category, they are trying to make money. Producing the "Friends" theme could be a very profitable move for LEGO, and like Etzel said, it has much more potential than themes such as Belville and Scala did. Just my two cents on the topic.
  14. Survivors: 1. Place 2. Place Captain Tamamono 3. Place 4. Place Bart 5. Place Lalror 6. Place CallMePieOrDie 7. Place Piratedave84 8. Place Brickdoctor 9. Place 10. Place Chevy Tristan was a perfectly normal (although slightly eccentric) worker at power plant up until a few months ago, when he suffered a severe electric shock. Although he survived, the sections of his brain that processed rational thinking and cautiousness were completely fried, leaving him with a belief that he was completely immortal. As you can probably imagine, there were many visits to the emergency room for Chevy, but miraculously, he always seemed to survive, thus reinforcing his idea about himself. With Chevy's extensive knowledge of circuits and electricity, he was the ideal explosives expert for the Resistance. The only problem is that he's extremely pathological. I suppose it's a bit of a trade-off... You spelled anime wrong.
  15. OOC: I just hope I don't get knocked out again! "Always 2 spaces? Good, that definitely limits his options. F1 or H1, guys? His logical route would lead to F1, but then again..."
  16. "You have got to be kidding me!" "Okay, Cavalry W can only go to H1, F1, or G1 (if they are allowed to just move one space). The other Cavalry can only go to D, E, or F2. What do you think, Leo? Which one should we go for?"
  17. "Well, that simplifies things!" "H1 it is, then!"
  18. "Well, at least we chose the right spot." "Cavalry W can only go to squares H1, G1, G2, F2, or F1. So there's a 1 in 5 chance of us choosing the right square. I think we should go for either H1 or G1, but I've got a feeling about G1. What say you, Leo?"
  19. Well, this is certainly a surprise! I'm not the biggest fan of the books or the movies, but I'm definitely familiar with them. I look forward to seeing what LEGO has in store for us! Collectible minifigures? Could they mean battlepacks by this?
  20. Just one quick question before I sign up: how long will each turn last?
  21. Tomas grunts as he removes an arrow from his knee. "Will do, Cronk. Cavalry W (on the far right hand side) has the least options of where to go. They can go to H3, F4 or F5, so I think we should definitely try for Cavalry W this round. Leo, do you have any preference of which square we aim for? I'm kind of leaning towards H3, but we should definitely try to agree on one."
  22. "I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to siege weapons as well, so I think it would be best to follow Cronk's advice for this round."
  23. "I think that's probably a good plan. You and I are the highest levels, so it's important to have one of use on watch for each shift."
  24. This is shaping up to be an awesome quest, Etzel! You're doing a great job! What a groaner!
