Well, do keep in mind that you aren't allowed to play in an advanced game until you've played in a Mafia School game. I don't believe you've ever played in an EB mafia game before, have you? -
The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day Three
Tamamono replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That's true, and we did lynch someone off of quietness that day, so I can't argue with that. Still, it definitely looks like you were just jumping on the bandwagon at that point. I know that. Contrary to popular belief, I am not as stupid as I seem. I fully understand that agreeing with the town leaders and walking in their shadows is a great place to hide, and therefore a great place to look for scum. If I were scum, then I would be a little more ambiguous with my posting instead of making it clear that I trust you. And damn it, my name is not Tammy Tomato-Face! -

That's a good point, Mehmet. Mustafa's 'observation' could have gotten Big Butthole lynched, and that was a pretty anti-townie move. He's also been flying beneath the radar pretty inconspicuously so far, which is a good place for the scum to be at this point. I suppose you have a point. Still, there was no guarantee that Melaena would get lynched. In fact, at that point, it was looking like Jen was to be the sacrifice for the Day. I'm not 'following him blindly'. It's just that I, too, agree that you are likely to be scum. I don't find your defense of Freud quite as convincing as Mehmet does, because frankly, Melaena probably would have told you and the rest of her scummy friends about what she was planning to claim (unless she was a complete idiot after all), and I kind of doubt that you would defend Freud if you knew it was the very person you had voted for earlier. Let's just make a list of the reasons why I think you're scum, shall we? 1. You were more than happy to follow Ophelia and Jennifer in voting for LePlot. If you're scum and he's not, then you would know he's not scum and you'd be more than happy to get him lynched. 2. You jumped on the Fitzdef bandwagon simply because you didn't want to split the vote. What kind of a reason for voting is that? Especially with the rules we have in this game. 3. You've been exactly where the scum want to be (well, you were before you were accused). You've been helpful, but not too helpful, and quiet, but not quiet enough to be a lurker. In fact I'm even more suspicious of you than of Jennifer, because you didn't pull any weird moves at the beginning of the game. Everything you said on that day was actually pretty inconspicuous. Another reason why I'm suspicious of you is because you're going off about how I'm 'following Mehmet blindly'. I remember a bunch of scummy agents in a Batman comic I once read who all accused everyone of blindly following a particularly Creepy character as their main defense to being lynched. I'm seeing a bit of a similarity here... I suppose a bit of it is gut, but I'm ignoring that as best as I can. Could you please explain to me how I'm suspicious? And my name is Sheila, for your information. -

Just because I'm hesitant to vote for you doesn't mean I'm not suspicious of you. It just means that I haven't got the balls to take a leap of faith and vote off somebody who could be helpful (or, in the very least, prevent the cultists from getting any farther toward their goal). -

That's possible. Although I think we're in big trouble if our protector has been outed this early. That sounds like a pretty confusing situation to me. I hope Papa Smurf can come up with a good explanation. We can't afford to have our protectors not doing what they're told by the camp leaders. I think you're ignoring the fact that Jennifer could still be a cultist too. If you three (Melaena, Nadir, and Jennifer) are all cultists, then you could have tried to distance yourself from your teammate by voting for her. Little did you know that you were helping Fitzdef push Melaena's bandwagon all the way down the hill. Although your defense of Freud would be pretty stupid considering that you were the second on Melaena's bandwagon. I don't know what to think about you. You've been acting pretty scummy so far this game, but you could still be town. Did any of the campies who can help at night find anything out about Nadir or Jennifer? I think those two are the main suspects for today (unless Mehmet has someone else he's suspicious of). -

Hooray, we got a cultist! Although it's not very surprising - Melaena's claims were incredibly weak. Especially the part about the snake curing mental illness. It's too bad about poor Fitzdef, though. He might not have been the nicest guy around, but he worked hard for our camp, and he shall be missed. -

I downloaded this a few minutes ago, and I have to say, I love the sleek new look! I haven't fully explored it all yet, but the new pieces I've seen so far are all great! A big thank you to the LDD team! -
Good eye, Tony! Maybe there is something significant about that pool... Wait, how could the water be moving? What sorcery is this!? I'd rather not. I might catch cold, and that would interfere with my acute sense of smell.

Welcome to the herd, Lordofdragonss! Well, it is only a half-hour show. The Piggy Song? I thought it was okay. It was definitely better than Happy Monthiversary, for whatever that's worth. My main problem with Pinkie's songs is that they're all only around ~15-30 seconds long. Especially with amazing ones like Evil Enchantress and Cupcakes. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait for Eurobeat Brony to remix the two from this episode into 2-4 minute songs! It had one back in June(ish?), but it was locked because of the excessive spam posts. It's a few pages back here in Culture and Multimedia. -

Oh dear, that 'Find a Pet' song! I've been singing it under my breath almost constantly for the last two months. You've got to love Invader Zim. I used to bust a gut almost every time Gir spoke one of his lines. And yes, it really is a shame it got canceled. Indeed it was! It was also nice to get some more of Mr. and Mrs. Cake and Nurse Redheart! D'awww! -

28 feet, 14 people... Well, we're all here! Well, it was worth a try. I guess now we know that the blood isn't from anyone here. Although maybe it would have been easier to just examine everyone for wounds... Would it be possible to smell all the past dead bodies? I'm not quite sure what to make of the puddle of blood. Is it even blood? Do we have any way of finding out? I think I'll inspect the fallen pieces of wall that are blocking the stairway up to the door.
-
Why was I lying on the ground? And why does everyone look different? There's something afoot! I'm alive, and I don't think I've lost any blood. Speaking of the puddle of blood, I would like to gingerly smell the puddle of blood and then go around smelling everyone else to see if the scent matches anybody. Unfortunately, no, I do not.

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Day Two
Tamamono replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wait, wait, wait, now there's a psychiatrist? That can't be possible, not to mention his/her claim reeks of scum. I can't see this kind of game having an SK. If it didn't sacrifice the people it killed, then it could potentially make the game un-winnable for the scum, and if it did sacrifice its victims, then it could potentially kill enough virgins to make the town lose. Really, an SK just messes with the balance in a game like this. If there's no SK, then there's no psychiatrist. It's simple as that. Freud is lying, and is likely scum. Freud is Melaena, right? Judging by the timing of this revelation, I suppose she is. Vote: Melaena Stools (CallMePie) What!? Since when is getting bitten by a snake helpful to your mental health? This is another very important question for us to be asking ourselves. Even if there is a serial killer in this game (which I think is very unlikely), then how would this work? There are no 'throwaway' vanilla townies in this game. The nocturnal skillers are useful because of their actions, and the virgins need to kept alive to prevent the cultists from winning. What would the SK turn into!? A vigilante? I think that is incredibly unlikely. A virgin? Like Betty said, the less virgins are in existence, then the better it is for us. Then the cultists can't kill any virgins. Adding another virgin to the mix is just adding to the cultists' chances of winning. This psychiatrist role makes no sense, and there's no way Freud/Melaena is telling the truth about it. -

Tamamono replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You make a great point, Will. Virgin is the perfect thing for the scum to claim, because then they don't have to do anything to back it up, yet they will usually get priority over power roles because the cultists need to kill virgins to win. However, what about Good and Hard? He can tell who the virgins are, thus revealing any claims from people that they are virgins. Of course, if a scum is backed into a corner, then he or she has no choice but to make a 'revelation' like that to save his/her megablocks for a little while longer. I guess I'm just too trusting of role claims. I just don't know what to do about Jennifer. Her 'eccentric' playing isn't helping us at all, but eccentric does not automatically equal scum. Melaena has been tripping my scumdar for a while, too. If she's scum, then it would definitely be in her best interests to keep her mouth shut and not repeat her last performance. So far, she's been incredibly quiet, which is not something we usually see from her. In addition, the majority of her posts are genuinely scummy. Her defense isn't particularly strong either. It mostly just consists of her saying 'I was just poking fun!'. What? This mirror cloak business is getting weirder by the minute... I agree with Mehmet on this. I think we're all getting a bit too worked up here. This is a game, and it's supposed to be fun. If it isn't fun, then we shouldn't play. Insulting people certainly doesn't make the game fun. I was out of line with my insults as well, and I'm sorry once again if I offended you, Jennifer. This is the main thing that worries me about Jennifer. She's indiscriminate about who she votes for. Her voting was all over the board yesterday (not that everyone else's wasn't as well), and today she's been willing to hop onto almost anybody to take suspicion off of herself. Melaena reeks of scum as well, and her defense is full of way more holes than Jennifer's (although it isn't like Jennifer's defense is any good either). I don't know, I'm going to think things over a bit. I'm leaning towards Melaena, but I'm finally starting to see how claiming virgin was Jen's best defense. -

I guess you could say that. So you're willing to kill off a power role just to see if they're lying or not!? If Mehmet outed Superman's true identity, in public, and we lynched him/her, then we would get confirmation of whether he/she was lying or not. But what good would that do us then!? He/she would be dead, and unable to use his/her action anymore. "Well, Superman's dead now, and we've lost a very valuable action, but at least we know that he wasn't a dirty liar! " I don't know, maybe one of my biggest flaws is that I'm hesitant to lynch anybody who's roleclaimed because they might be useful. -

I'm sorry, Jennifer. I really don't mean it that way, but how would you describe the way you're playing this game? Quite frankly, it's crazy. What kind of an idea is it to be voting for the first person who gets a vote!? A crazy one, that's what. Crazy doesn't automatically equal scum, so that's why I'm not voting for you right now (that and the fact that you claimed to be a virgin, and we do not want to let any more virgins get sacrificed). I suppose I was a bit over the top in calling you a dolt and dumb. I'm very sorry for that. I hope there are no hard feelings. I suppose that's a pretty good point. After all, if Mehmet is scum (which I don't think he is), Superman could very well be made up to fool everyone. Still, you could have at least given Superman the benefit of the doubt. If he's real, then he/she can be very useful to us. Why would we get rid of someone like that!? If Superman hadn't given Mehmet a good explanation behind the scenes, then I'll bet Mehmet would have brought him/her out in public and put him/her up as a suspect. Would you have voted for him/her, then? I think you probably would have. -

Hugh and Mehmet make some excellent points about Jennifer. Her crazy and illogical playing style is not helping us in the least. It's especially worrying to me how eager she is to lynch just about anybody. When Mehmet brought up Superman's idiotic mistake, Jen said this: Why would she be so ready to lynch Superman after he had simply made a stupid mistake? If his night action really is that useful, then we definitely want to keep him around so that he can use it to help us. Yet she was ready to give up on the Man of Steel immediately. Frankly, she's a cultist or a dolt (or both). Or, like Fitzdef would say, scum or dumb... Well, that's exactly what the scum would want to claim if they were under suspicion, but I'd be a fool not to at least take your claim into consideration. This logic is so flawed it isn't even funny. First you're saying that scum wouldn't want to be vocal about things, yet you still think Mehmet is scum? In case you've forgotten, Mehmet has been by far the most vocal and active person in the game. So, by your logic, he must be town. But he's been investigated as scum, and you think he's scum. No offense, Ms. Taylor, but you are kind of notorious for having bad/crazy strategies (although it isn't like I'm much better in that respect. ), which is one of the main things that's keeping me from voting you. All that BS about 'voting for the first person to get a vote' is exactly the kind of thing you would pull, so I'm a little more inclined to believe your claims. I don't know who to vote for. I don't feel comfortable voting for Mehmet. Jennifer's claimed virgin, so I don't think it would be a good idea to get rid of her until she's been confirmed either way by Good and Hard. Mellifluous has been hellbent on getting Good and Hard lynched despite the fact that he's claimed a very useful role, but I don't think she's scum either. I guess my main suspects (that have votes on them) are Ophelia and Maelana (or however you spell her name). The way Ophelia tried to keep the vote going on Fitzdef yesterday was pretty scummy, but it looked even worse when she unvoted quickly and switched her vote to Ms. Taylor. If Jennifer is scum (which could still very well be), then I think Ophelia is likely to be scum as well. And Maelana hasn't added anything useful at all this game, so she's basically useless. If she was scum, then it would make sense for her to keep her mouth shut like she's doing now, because I'm sure that we all remember her last incarnation. I don't know, I'm going to have to think about things a bit more before I cast my vote. -

I'll have to agree with you there. I started watching some Adam West Batman a few weeks ago, but I couldn't get past part 2 of the pilot because the show is just too cheesy! I think you're probably right, those Best Pony debates do turn into spamfests after a while. But elegance and fabulocity still trumps cuteness any day :P. It might be because of the huge fanbase FiM has. I doubt there are very many big fans of Dan Vs.
