  1. So you're saying that you aren't going to discuss things if there's no credible evidence? That's not a very helpful stance to have. While the evidence (or more precisely, lack of evidence) of today is not much to go on for a vote, you could still at least try to help out. Based on her defense, I'd say that Barbara is the most suspicious so far.
  2. I suppose that makes sense. Sorry if I was acting overly inquisitive.
  3. Oh? And who told you that?
  4. That's something that's been bothering me; I can understand why he wouldn't want to share his suspicions, but why would he share his 'gut feelingsâ„¢' about people he 'trusts'? It's way too early to be trusting anyone. I think he misspoke when he said that you trust him. He probably meant that you think of him as a townie. On a completely unrelated note, why did you give the citizens of our town nicknames? I swear, I'm using my head this time! You know, when you first started going off about how losing a vanilla townie is better than taking a risk, I thought that you were scum. But then I reexamined your statements, and I came to the conclusion that it's unlikely that you are scum because you're being so outspoken. Petr probably came to that same conclusion about you. Well, you said yourself, the disturbing thing about Eugene's role-playing is that he responded to your questions with more role-playing. How could you forget that? While I do think that we should try to come to a conviction today, I doubt that we will. There's just no way that fifteen people are going to be able to agree on one person today. That's true, but the game that Denis was talking about had 31 people in it. That's three more than the game... of life we're in right now. Actually, she's posted twice, but both posts have been pretty useless.
  5. I too have been suspicious of Barbara because of her silence. Like I said before, we'll most likely find scum among those who are trying to fly under the radar. I think I'll wait to cast my vote until I hear what Barbara has to say about this.
  6. You didn't make it very clear, but you did state that you were merely role-playing. This may or may not be true, but she did say that she wasn't asking everyone to get the pitchforks ready for you. Looking back now, her saying that you could easily be manipulated by the mob because of your bad habits is even worse role-playing than what you did. Her behavior's been pretty weird, but isn't a bit early to vote? You do realize that Ivan is only going to give us on unvote per day, right? I think we should be accusing people first and voting for them later. You only said it once. That's a good point, and accusing someone who over-roleplays isn't generally a bad thing. The scum want to be unhelpful and not put their necks on the line on Day 1, and the first time Eugene mentioned his habit it seemed like he wasn't trying to draw attention, he was just role-playing like Barbara does. However, I'm not suspicious of you because you accused Eugene. I'm suspicious of you because you said that he could 'easily be manipulated by the mob', which is useless role-playing. Now, I'm not going to take sides here, as it's likely that both of you are town. Quarrels between townies frequently happen on Day 1 of situations like this.
  7. Congratulations Rufus! You definitely deserve it!
  8. It's been giving me quite a headache as well. I don't really know what to make of Eugene's substance abuse, because most people wouldn't want to reveal such things about themselves, yet he still did. As for non-babble suspicions, I would have to suggest that we look at those who've been laying low and not contributing much (if anything). There are so many people here today that all the scum have to do is sit back and laugh at us as we take all the wrong twists and turns. It's true. Almost everyone role-plays a bit, but the fact that he answered Boris and Nika's questions with more role-playing makes him look pretty scummy.
  9. I must've phrased that wrong. I meant that the scum's one blocker (if they even have one) and the scum's killer would both target the same person (the one who role-claimed), just in case that person is protected by the Doctor. So even if they aren't able to kill him (the person who role claimed), they'll still be able to prevent him from using his night action.
  10. Congrats on the Arch Duke-hood!

  11. That's true, but even if we believed him and he really did have an important night action, he would most likely be killed and blocked that night by the scum (they would anticipate the Doctor's possible protection of this person, so they would block him as well just to make sure he doesn't perform his action). I agree. While scum do like to sow confusion, I can't imagine one of them putting his neck on the line so early. I think we'll most likely find scum among those who aren't contributing much (if anything) to the discussion.
  12. Yes, that could very well happen, but you're neglecting to mention that there is a chance that we'll lynch a scum today. You're only acknowledging one side of the coin. So you'd rather 'play it safe' and let a vanilla townie die than try to convict a scum? You do understand that the majority of us are probably vanilla townies anyway, so we might as well take the route that gives us a chance at getting rid of a scum today.
  13. As my good sister Nika said, we have no idea what the penalty will be. It could be anything from losing a random non-voter to having cute little lapdogs thrown at us all. Good point, Wilem. Unless Sky was just throwing words around, there's a pretty good chance that the mafia have a converting action. That's going to make this ordeal twice as hard, because then the mafia can convert those who have already been cleared by investigation results.
  14. It's true. Behavior is the only thing we have to base a conviction on today, and there's not even going to be much of that. If we're going to catch a scum today, we'll have to examine what everyone has said very thoroughly and make an educated decision.
  15. We can't let these mafia members walk all over us - we have to fight back! But first, I need a drink.
  16. I take it we can continue to call you Pudgy Petra, then? You're not the only one!
  17. Timur is here! He hopes very much that we will be able to rid town of nasty mafia. Ooh, very much yes! Timur would love seven bottles glasses of vodka!
  18. Portal viewer!

  19. Wow! Thanks for the news, Hinck! I didn't get the first two Winter Village buildings (or the Winter Train, for that matter), but I might just have to get this one! To start off, the minifigures are fantastic! I'm really glad to see that orange ponytail piece (from PC) being released in more sets, and the medium blue torso print is beautiful! The set itself also contains lots of post office-y details that would be perfect for making a non-winter postal service MOC. I notice that the interior of the building is tiled; were the other Winter Village buildings tiled as well? You mean these?
  20. Thanks for starting a thread for this, Klaus-Dieter, and thanks for all the info, Mirandir! Personally, I have no need for vehicles (my town is currently on a very long and narrow table, so it's hard to even fit roads into it), so I'll definitely be skipping most of the 'great vehicles' theme. Maybe this will trigger a 'great buildings' theme in summer 2012 or winter 2013, but I doubt it. The 'Friends' theme will most likely be covering the buildings for this year (and maybe next year as well). The Park Ranger sub-theme sounds pretty decent, but I can't help but think that LEGO is going way off track with this. According to you, there are eleven of these 'forest' sub-theme sets, and that combined with the 'great vehicles' sub-theme doesn't leave much room for anything in the 'town essentials' area. In any case, what do the firemen look like? Are they just standard-issue LEGO firemen in a forest setting?
  21. Hey, thanks for re-posting the pics, Otherworld! Judging by the S6 pics that were taken by same person(?), the new 'figs are only a tad taller than traditional minifigures, so the sets probably shouldn't be too over-sized. The figures aren't all that bad, and they're definitely a step up from Belville and Scala. The fact that the 'figs are comprised of four seperate pieces (hair, head, torso, legs) will most likely be a big selling point, as most little girls like to change the 'outfits' of their dolls. My only real complaint about them is that their hands (regular minifig hands) are far too big for the twig-like arms. And if I'm not mistaken, the third figure's hair is the same as the S6 Spacewoman (S2 Pop Star hair in blonde), so I'm guessing that the hairpieces are compatible. That's pretty good news, but the hairpieces on the first and second 'figs fall to about their shoulders, so they wouldn't fit on traditional minifigures (no neck!).
  22. Hey, happy birthday, LT! :)

  23. Oooh, Baritones 3! I loved the first two Baritones games, so I'll definitely sign up for this one! 1. I was Claudia Toscana in Sandy's Escape from Isla Paradisa Mafia School. I was Tammo de Belle-ville in Quarryman's Belville Mafia 2. I'll be out of town until August 6th, but sign-ups won't have even closed by then, so I doubt it will be a problem. Other than that, I'm free for the rest of August and September. 3. 'Viewing the Portal' means viewing the frontpage. It is not the portal between EB and Writeboard/IRC. 4. That's a tough one. I've had a lot of embarrassing moments in my life, but none of them have been really memorable. I'd have to say the aftermath of Belville Mafia was my most embarrassing moment, if only because that's my most recent one (and because it was pretty embarrassing ). If that's not good enough, I'll try to remember something better. This game looks like it's going to be a blast, so I certainly hope you'll consider me for it!
  24. No, he doesn't shell cheese, he shells like cheese. So if cheese ever learned how to shell, it'd do it quite similarly Big Cam. In other news, it seems that def has changed his avatar to the minifig that was on the poster for Bloodbrick II. I take it that Bloodbrick II will run right after Hinck's game?
  25. Thanks for starting a thread for this, vexorian! Series 6 looks like the most all-around 'good' series so far, with there only being two 'figs that I can't find a use for (Statue of Liberty and Barbarian), and even those look really nice. I'd have to say that my favorites are the Butcher (great new molds and torso/leg prints), the Genie (new legs mold, new turban ornament mold), and the Leprechaun (printed top hat in green, short green legs, great face print). There are still six more we don't know about (unless LEGO is reducing the number of Collectible Minifigures per series); I look forward to seeing some of those!
