  1. Oh man, Christmas came early this year! The Podracers were already at the top of my list for this wave, but after seeing those photos, WOW! I would move it higher up the list if I could! I mean, just the fact that they are including STANDS for displaying and HANDLES for swooshing! They didn't have to do that at all. It's little touches like that that are going to make this the perfect set. Ewok Attack, just amazing! Might be one of the first sets I'd get multiples of to add to my growing Endor display. Logray just might be THE figure of 2011. Glad they included a hood for Maul, so people who think the horns look silly (or want to be accurate to his appearance on Tatooine) have that option. After seeing these pictures, the Falcon and Frigate traded place on my list (the Falcon moved UP, and the Frigate moved DOWN). I think it's the little touches on the Falcon that moved it up on my list (Luke's training ball, helmet, & double-sided face, secret smuggling compartments, etc). Still going to try and get both the Falcon AND the Frigate in the long run though. The only pass for me on this list is the Sith Nightspeeder (or whatever they are calling it these days). To me the ship is just too darn ugly. The only good parts are the amazing figures. But since these three characters are super important in the show, I'm sure down the road we'll see more (and hopefully better) sets with them in it. I might get this one if I found it on clearance. But it would only be for the figures. Over all, this is an AMAZING wave! Probably the best wave I've seen since coming out of my Dark Ages. I'll most likely be getting six out of the seven sets, and also the Naboo Fighter and Echo Base. Speaking of which, hoping we'll uncover pictures of those two sets soon! Ok, now back to drooling over these pictures!
  2. Color me disappointed about the advent calender, YUCK! I has hoping it would be more minifigure heavy and have environments instead of mini-vehicles. Oh well, that just means more money saved that I can put towards all the other awesome sets this summer (going to try to get all of them except the Sith Nightspeeder). EDIT: Oh yay, my 10th post! I'm no longer "new" anymore!
  3. Out of the nine lightsabers I own only one is bubble-less, one of the lightsabers from the latest Landspeeder set. Hmm.
  4. I think it's just an effect caused by the swing of Savage's red blade that is making it look like it's two colored. I think it's the same silver hilt as always, as cool as a two-colored hilt would be.
  5. Man, I was torn between Logray and Sebulba, but in the end I went with Sebulba, I've always had a soft spot for him, I don't know why. Maybe once more pictures showing these figures at different angles comes out my opinion will change, but right now I'm voting Sebulba.
  6. I pretty certain it's just the angle that the figures are holding them that are making them look shorter and are the same length as always.
  7. Holy cow, these figures for the most part are looking awesome! Well, Eeth Koth's head looks really bad in my opinion, but the rest look fantastic. My bank account is going to be so mad at me this summer. Oh well, maybe I can just put some of the bigger sets on my X-Mas wishlist this year! And thank you so much Navy Trooper Fenson for these pics!
  8. Oh, I didn't see this topic when I joined a few days ago, so I'll introduce myself now. Hi, I'm Pranas (and that IS my real first name, it's Lithuanian). I'm a semi-professional cartoonist currently living in Savannah, GA. As a kid I loooooved LEGO, I was obsessed, couldn't get enough. I loved it all: Space, Pirates, Castle, Town, and heck, even the Western line from way back when. But (unfortunately) I fell out of my LEGO obsession around 1997-98. Because that is when I got into collecting Star Wars action figures and I only had room for one collection/obsession at the time. Oddly enough when the Star Wars theme hit in 1999, I didn't hop back on the bandwagon (but I did convince my little brother to get a few of the sets so I could play with them when he wasn't looking, ha ha). Flash forward to last March, in the mail my mom sent me a copy of the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary as an Easter present because I made a comment a few months before in a book store that it looked like a really cool book. And with that I was out of my Dark Ages and hooked once again. Obviously the main theme I collect is Star Wars, but I've been slowly building up my Collectible Minifigure collection whenever I can find packs (my local Targets FINALLY has Series 3 in stock, YAY!). If I ever had the spare cash there's a few Toy Story and Harry Potter sets that have caught my eye. I haven't yet gotten too far into MOCing, but it's something I want to get back into someday.
  9. Aw shucks, thanks guys! And thanks KimT for putting it up on the blog! That really made my morning. You can thank my awesome girlfriend for the environment and pictures. She came home from work a few nights ago with bags of sand and told me to dump it all over the dinning room table because we were going to have a photoshoot! And this was coming from a girl who just barely tolerates my LEGO obsession! Reasons like this are why I love her so!
  10. Oh man, this is going to be the best series yet just because of that Godzilla figure alone! The rest of the series could be rubbish but it wouldn't matter because WE ARE GETTING A LEGO GODZILLA MINIFIGURE! I love me some Godzilla, obviously.
  11. Long time reader, first time poster, so bear with me if these images don't work or are too big or whatever. Still trying to figure out how this all works... So everyone seems to be putting up their Chibi MOCs here from the contest over at FBTB, so I'd thought I'd share mine too. Here it is, my first MOC since coming out of my Dark Ages a few months ago: the Chibi Landspeeder! You can view the rest of the photos on my Flickr.
