LEGO Ninjago 2021
someguy827 replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I’m honestly a tad bit concerned at the gardens being rated 14+ and not 16+ like the Ninjago city. Although, the ninjago docks was 12+, and I actually like that set a lot. I don’t think we’ll have to worry about height, as promobricks describes at least 5 floors for each tower I think, all with different colours. Personally, I’m most excited to see how the third and forth levels of the tower connect to each other, and to see the tree growing on the side of the tallest tower. I’m also interested in how the towers connect to the smaller 16x32 garden section. Ahh! So many questions and still no images! Also, promobricks took down their video on the 2021 Ninjago sets where they provided more info on the gardens. Wondering why that happened. -

I know right ?. I’m just happy it’s coming on the 1st of January with the other sets so the wait can’t be much longer at least. -

Well it’s a YouTube video set to premier on Friday, and two of the tags associated with it are: “modular” and “police station”. I think that if they were revealing the gardens, the tags would give it away immediately. Also it’s about time for lego to reveal the next modular anyway. ? -

Heard about it on Instagram, however now it’s looking like a reveal for the new modular.? -

Apperently something big is being revealed on Friday!! IMO it could either be the gardens or the next modular, however I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard this much fanfare about a new modular coming out. Thoughts?!?! -

Nah keep it, I think it’s kinda funny that we both thought of the same thing ? I’m on the video but the only option is auto generated German subtitles. Release date seems to be January 1st ???, and the figure count seems to have been dropped back down to 19. I translated some of it, and they said that the outline is 99% how the set will look, and they strongly assume the top of the tower will be more elegant than the sketch makes it out to be. -

YESSS!! Why can’t they just reveal the gardens already ? I can’t speak for anyone else, but this is the most excited I have ever been for a set ever. -

Honestly I’m doubting that we’ll see the gardens anytime soon. For some reason early January D2C sets rarely seem to leak early if at all (think modulars or Old Trafford). And because it’s only going to be sold by lego for the first several months, I doubt we’ll get any photos uploaded via a sellers website. I’m guessing late December or early January for pics. -

Yes! I remember back when we thought that Nexo Knights was going to be fantasy era 2, and then CM4Sci made those sketches, and then we realized what was really happening.. oh well. All part of the ride. -

Honestly I don’t know when we’re gonna get a good look at the gardens. I don’t think we’ve ever had a set leak this early (I consider the outline to be a leak because it’s 1:1 how the set will look and how specific and detailed the description was). The outline was leaked in mid august with the set coming out in mid January, which is an insane half a year before release date. In addition, the price, piece counts, and minifigure count were rectified and confirmed in September. This could potentially mean that the set would be revealed super early, perhaps similar the leaks of the colosseum which we can use as a guide, which leaked an entire 40 days before it was finally revealed. This would mean the set might get leaked around early December given that the mid January release date holds up. Or perhaps it could be more like the ecto 1, which only leaked about a week before release date, however, given how early we got the outline, I’m doubting that. Any ideas? -

I don’t think there’s a problem with posting the outline itself, however the maximum file upload size is 0.1mb max so I try to keep my images as small as I can. We could totally post the whole thing, then highlight specific areas based on the promobricks description. Also promobricks said that a small cherry tree would be growing on top of one tower, with another tree growing at the front of the other. Perhaps it could be that? -

I’d love that balloon thing in this set! Never got to pick up any of the earlier sets. However, I don’t think the shape is quite spherical enough to match up :/ in terms of the beams at the bottom right, I’m thinking one could be a bridge between the two towers. No idea what the other ones are. -

So if it’s on brickset it’s real? Awesome to know :) I’d also like to get back to speculating which was kinda interrupted by all of this new garden stuff?. Some of the outline I can guess, like the top pic being the tree that promobricks described growing on the side of the tower. My biggest question is what the pole shaped things are at the bottom right leg. Any thoughts? -

SO, I emailed promobricks and asked them about it, and they told me not to worry, and that the festival set as far as they know is not at all related to the ninjago city gardens. ??? Very very good news :)))) -

One that would make me feel even better is promobricks commenting on the new Chinese sets and confirming that the ninjago set is still coming. They did an article on the quadcopter, and said that the Chinese sets have already been covered in another article. However, I cannot find it anywhere. Could someone link it please if they find it? -

I agree. It might not be the gardens we thought it could be, however with the mention of the cherry tree on top of one tower and a giant tree growing on the other, gives some sort of resemblance to agriculture and to me, that is enough. -

Let me know what happens with that email. I think that lego absolutely has to do something for ninjago’s 10th anniversary, because it’s their one of their longest running themes ever. Maybe something similar to what they did for the tenth anniversary of the modulars. In addition, the outline of the pagoda and the “garden” doesn’t match up with what we got today. I’m going to be positive and hope that I can buy both the lantern festival and the ninjago garden in January.? -

Has there ever been a leak with this many details, like part counts, mini figures, and an outline all provided from a respectable source, and it’s just completely wrong? I think that because the Chinese set is called the spring lantern festival I still have some hope, however the fact that both sets are releasing in January makes me even more worried and suspicious. Thoughts? -

My only question now is where promobricks got their image of the set? They said it was a 1:1 outline. In addition, this wasn’t just a one time thing, they provided many updates to the rumours and updated the piece and minifigure count many times. I just pray that we get two towers like planned and this set also. That would be the dream. -

I’m especially worried after realizing that the new gardens set is on a 16x32 and a 32x32 baseplate :/ -

OMG. I think I figured it out. In the promo bricks image, there’s a disconnected part of the build that looks exactly like the garden set that just got revealed. (Absolutely beautiful set by the way). I think that the gardens are still coming (for a second I thought that was the ninjago gardens set and I was crushed). This makes total sense because i never understood why lego would make a smaller disconnected part of two giant towers and use up parts that could be used up on the towers. Does this make sense? But don’t we have images of the product codes in the listings all 2021 ninjago sets? I remember seeing the gardens on there. -

It’s totally alright! I don’t think they’re really that similar tbh. Wow, I am really surprised at the sketch being a 1:1 match of the real set. I always just chose to ignore the sketch because of just how much seems to be going on. I actually made a sketch of how I imagined it, and I came up with two thinner but taller temple of airjitzu’s connected together at two floors with a wooden bridge. Some of the sketch makes sense, but I have no idea what those long extending shapes are at the bottom of the right tower. Any ideas? -

Is it just me or does the “picture” of the ninjago city gardens not match up with the description or anything I can feasibly imagine? I heard some sources talking about the towers being a beefed up version of the temple of airjitzu, but if that’s not really what the pic looks like. Did promobricks actually see the set or are they just guessing based on the description? I’m really wondering how this is going to end up looking. -
For anyone interested in dimensions, Just2good gave them a while back: 19 cm / 7.4 in. wide 60 cm / 23.6 in. high
