LEGO Ninjago 2021
someguy827 replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So it’s confirmed for February 1st?? I could be disappointed that it’s not January, however I’m just happy that it’s not March or April. Guess we can expect a reveal in Mid January then.. not sure about leaks though, although it’s doubtful we’ll get to see it this year. Just curious, what is the Yes in the last column? -

Yeah you’re right.. even if he’s somehow the first one to put it on insta, who knows how many hands it went through before it got to him.. Also, is promobricks still claiming January 1st for the gardens? -

I believe the og leaker is some kind of store owner? (The.brick.leaks) He posted a bunch of previously unseen sets with their contents displayed a while back, so maybe he has access to an internal database? He’s also claiming that the medival blacksmith will also come out in February. Maybe you can confirm this to see if he’s credible? -

How is it that we have the exact release dates of the next ideas set due in February, and the next creator expert vehicle due in March, but still nothing concrete for the gardens? -

I’ve done this strategy with stuff that won’t be out in a while, like the unfortunately delayed 2022 Batman movie ?. Kinda helps and puts the wait in perspective as not being that long.. also congrats on actually getting your hands on a ps5? -

Bruh I literally had to set a limit for eurobricks on my phone cuz I was spending too much time on it ? maybe you should do the same to avoid going crazy my man Also if customer service is officially confirming this set, wouldn’t it be odd if it came out in April or whatever? Hopefully this is evidence for a relatively short wait until the reveal.. -

Did lego just officially confirm the sets existence? -

Yeah haha! Crazy to think that over a month ago! Don’t worry my man, I’ve been kinda obbsessed with this thing. I don’t even care if it comes out in April or whatever, I just wanna see what it ends up looking like, because that sketch has been teasing me since august and it looks like it could even top Ninjago city as the best set in a while.. -

I also reached out to promobricks via email and they told me not to worry. -

Here’s a general sketch, hardest part was figuring out the perspective. You can tell where I had no idea what to do so I just left it. Some stuff like the red bridge is left out because I didn’t know where to put it. Thoughts? -

If this keeps up for any longer, then I guarantee that the gardens will go down as a meme for the most lengthy, anticipated, and confusing set reveal in a looooong time. One thing I have noticed though is that some people arguing against a January gardens release are also arguing against a January release for the legacy sets, which has been all but confirmed with ninjawhip confirming January, the catalog being from New Zealand, and the sets already showing up in stores. Another thing is that promobricks has been incredibly accurate with their release dates. Even that weird juniors legacy set that for some reason is coming out in March they got right. Another thing is that I want this set already!!! -

As much as I’m hoping this is real, the mention of Atlantis does make it seem a little bit bait-y to me and possibly too good to be true. Also cole’s swimming facility? Idk man, seems like those fake castle leaks to me all over again. -

A water Ninjago wave sounds absolutely amazing, hoping it’s like aqua raiders with Ninjago vehicles and dragons... (I’ve never seen the show tho so idk) In terms of the garden release date, we’ve had claims of delays into February and April. Promobricks has gotten the dates of every single recently revealed set correct despite their oddly stagnated release dates, so I’m going to assume they’re correct on this one too. ? -

You’re totally right, I saw that ninja_whip confirmed a January release date for the legacy sets. I think an April release date for the gardens doesn’t make too much sense to me because of the golden Wu. So are people going to collect some of the golden Ninjas and then wait 4 months for the gardens to come out so that they can add Wu? Doesn’t make much sense tbh. -

Yeah I’m totally with you on that one haha! I’ve only bought like one Ninjago set in all my time collecting sets, however the gardens have captured my imagination in a way no other set has, and I’m really really hoping promobricks is correct about it coming out on the 1st of January because February seems so far away..... On a side note, the dragon is easily the best set of this wave, and I’m surprised about the keepers village because it’s not really a village in the way I imagined it, more like a hideout IMO. Catamaran photos are also out on Instagram. -

Yeah, just saw that. I think it’s real, since the leaker has a bunch of sample sets they got from lego (including the 2021 legacy wave) so I assume they have some sort of connections or sources. Guess we gotta wait for January for pics ? -

Honestly I like to think of it as us getting the leaks of it super duper early. Also it helps me to remember that the release date was originally said to be spring 2021, so January is ok with me ?. -

If the gardens come out on January 1st, does that mean we can expect a press release in mid December? -

My bad, I was unaware of how two D2C sets could come out on the same day, and I thought maybe it could follow the same release pattern of old trafford because promobricks also estimated a mid January release date. I think I’m just too excited and I need to be patient and wait. -

When the January 1st reveal date was being discussed I was always confused as to how that would work because of lego always releasing a modular on the 1st of the new year. Has lego ever released 2 D2C sets on exactly the same date? The only thing that might make a bit of sense is if the set is treated like another set in the January wave, however, given it’s record breaking size I’m doubting this would happen. I think that most likely it will be treated like Old Trafford, which came out mid January. This would also make sense because it would fall in line with the anniversary of Ninjago. Also, I believe the old Trafford leaks started in very early January about week before the reveal, however since the gardens were leaked so early I’m not sure if we should expect photos quicker. -

Oh my god, $500 does not sound good at all. That would put the Canadian price at around $650 probably ?. My guess is $350, which would keep the exact same excellent PPP of Ninjago city, and be lower than the PPP of the Docks, which makes sense because it’s a much larger set. Makes me wonder what other facts about the set are up in the air if promobricks isn’t entirely sure about the price. -

It’s a strange situation, as all the prices promobricks gave for those recently revealed Ninjago sets seem very accurate, so it doesn’t make sense for that one to be wrong. Agreed, I’m really liking the idea of jungle tribe stuff. The guardian village sounds the most interesting to me personally. -

I agree, no way they’ll do an 18+ box. This isn’t a D2C like the ecto or Sesame Street, this is just a supersized set releasing alongside another Ninjago wave. -

For some reason I’m still doubtful of the gardens existing, which is probably why I’m so interested in them. The price per piece is simply too good to be true, especially with 19 minifigure rumoured. For comparison, (in euros, because that was the price which promobricks claimed), The docks comes in at 6.5, Ninjago city comes in at 6.2, and the gardens apparently come in at 5.3. The only thing that comes even remotely close is the brand new colosseum at 5.5, and that’s only because of how huge it is and how small the parts variety is. Something here is wrong, and I hope it’s just the price that promobricks was given.
