  1. That was a sudden turnaround from "Anyways, do what you think is good..." Just give us something to believe in. We're reasonable people. I mean, it's not like we're a bunch of killers and criminals or something.
  2. I'm starting to feel the same way. Well, I was before that little power outage in Moonlight, but with it's return, I think I'm feeling like we need to start somewhere and this may be it. Wynona, can you give us anything to defend yourself? The day is half over, it isn't the time for silence, if you want to see a new dawn.
  3. Yes, Iris. We know, Iris. Thank you, Iris. Mmmm, your legs are looking mighty fine today, Iris, and I'm getting hungry. It is lunch time and all...
  4. Maybe you could post in the actual day thread? Uh huh. I'm not going to defend the practice... oh hell yes I am. I enjoy it. Others enjoy it. If more people were posting regularly, it wouldn't be happening. Is it confusing? Sure, it can be. The whole game is confusing. People in life are confusing. For all any of us knows, it could even be in our character guidelines to act in certain ways. I'm just happy when people participate and get into the game, I'm certainly not going to discourage that. Capiche? Yeah, that's right! You tell him! Aaaah, it's them again!
  5. Maybe, but what we already know is that clearly they didn't need to exert pressure on one of them, the one that ratted out the operation. IF they can apply pressure, I bet it's done to people who are hiding things, things they could be blackmailed with. I remember Iris talking about some old reporter they did that to in the old days. He wasn't bad to start with, but he had a gambling problem that we were able to take advantage of. I bet the feds work the same way. If we can narrow down those people, we might be able to spot future problems, but first we need to find the rat out of those 5.
  6. Things I think we've learned from all this: 1. The sunglasses face is the closest thing to a classic smile but with sunglasses, so it's probably the only 'alternate' face we'll ever see. I don't think that makes the fed we saw Dragonateri. Doesn't mean he isn't one, but I don't think we'd be given anything that simple. 2. The feds aren't killing us, I don't even think they're beating us up. You know, it's seemed obvious from the start and I think this confirms it. They could have just killed the whole lot of you or tried beating a confession out of someone. No one came back hurt. 3. Someone in that last group is a rat. Plain and simple. Until we get together as a group and vote, we aren't going to stop any of this. We need to pick a likely target and go for it. I have one in mind. I'm going to double check on some things and may make an official announcement later, if I think there is the potential for enough support of it.
  7. Yeah, I don't see that happening. They're rats, but they ain't stupid. No, what we need to watch for are those little bits of information that might slip past if we aren't paying attention. The little comment that the person shouldn't have known to make, the tidbit of excluded but vital information someone is obviously concealing, the quick judgements and alliances that appear out of nowhere. These pave the road of truth. So far, at least one such slip has been made, and by someone involved in this operation-gone-bad. I was not surprised to see it go wrong, I just wish there had been a way to get out a warning.
  8. Welcome to EB and to the wonderful world of fantasy Pirates! I especially like that you've had the ship taken over by the undead, nice job! Thanks for joining us, and presenting a look into your emergence from the dark ages. Now that you're here, you never need to go back into that horrible land again. Oh, and I don't think your pictures look bad at all, really.
  9. With no Imperial ship in the first wave and the importance of Pirates in the grand scheme of LEGO corporate affairs, I think we can pretty much count on one. That said, I wouldn't wait around buying other things and hoping they'll be around for a long time, I'd pick up some while you know you can. Power Miners? Sure, they're ok for a rehashed Rock Raiders, but I wouldn't pass up Pirates for them.
  10. Uh huh, whatever. Don't try to influence the player's opinions with things said here or we'll show you a whole new gag order.
  11. The Slickinator! No problem, folks, he's the oiliest, dirtiest, most low down, thorougly reprehensible lawyer I've ever had the pleasure of being represented by. Hey Ian! You still have a way with the words, ladykiller. Acquitted. Thanks to you! Based on his position in the surveillance pictures we have, I'd say he was working the lookout position, so it's only natural he was the first to call out. If he was a rat, I bet he wouldn't have been so quick to do so, and I sure as hell bet he wouldn't have taken a chance pulling a toy gun like that, hoping to scare the feds back. All in all, I'd have to agree that the kid did a damn fine job. I think you're wrong, but given that I don't know what info you have and you don't know what I have, it's hard to say. That hair isn't him at all...
  12. Now you're talkin'! Let's load up some of the boys and bust 'em out! Are you crazy? We'd have the whole federal government on our backs in an hour. Better idea! Let's send our lawyers, they're evil!
  13. *wonders why Dragonateri seems to be on the run, incognito, just before everything goes to hell* Except we were all present when it was announced that there would be an operation. What if it's possible to follow people? We'll need to pay close attention to how everyone responds if they get out. Actually, if they're busted for something that is actually a crime, will they get out?
  14. An uneventful night, a successful operation, more planned for today. If it wasn't for the rats, we'd be in pretty good shape. Problem is, we're not getting anywhere... We've got to break this open somehow.
  15. Right! If images can be combined, literally glued together but all linking to one gallery, the quantity of modules per post can increase dramatically. Otherwise, merging all of the pics from a single member into a collage and then placing a series of appropriate links could serve the same purpose. Doing the little trick I did this morning means moving the thread earlier and earlier into time and eventually it'll rip the fabric of space.
  16. Very early tomorrow morning there is what, 8 days after a week ago +/- 5 hours? I have trouble with timezones, especially when they aren't mine. Well, if you miss it, have fun, we'll still be here when you get back.
  17. Yes, but what about that second post, it's empty? *puts away his magic wand*
  18. Yay! It's so Must. Have. Farm sets. People don't always realise how large proper farm equipment is. They think of those little tractors and such and imagine everything is to that scale. This is surprisingly close to realistic, I'm incredibly surprised and happy about that. People are just going to have to Town up and make room for this bad boy, it looks to be well worth it.
  19. Excellent job! A very carnival or mardi gras feeling. I might have to build a set of these for myself. Please share any additions or future additions, they're great!
  20. A MOC is art. As such, the only limitation should be decided by the builder. I've seen plenty of MOCs of things I didn't care for, but I wouldn't imagine imposing a restriction on anyone else based on my taste. If the artist/builder is looking for critical acclaim, they will have to find the right balance between their vision and popular opinion, but in the case of LEGO, I don't think many are looking for that anyway. As for offensive or a line being crossed, this one doesn't even come close in my book.
  21. As promised, backs for both variations. Since no skin is showing, I only had to make one of each kind. Luke (Back) Hoth Soldier (Back)
  22. Whoa... Imagine my surprise when this popped back up. That really did turn out well, nice printing and application. I'll whip up a back for it and my tan Luke variation. I don't know why I didn't think of that before...
  23. Nah, I've had it with unquestionably sealed sets. Two very tiny bags can easily become stuck together and end up in a box. They claim to weigh everything, but the kind of accuracy that would be required to catch some of these mistakes would be beyond belief. Still, they do a great job the vast majority of the time and I'm not griping when it goes in my favour.
  24. Ah, that's the one I've been waiting on. Looks brilliant! You're most welcome. I'm glad to have been able to contribute to this fabulous result.
  25. This feels like a familiar topic. If anyone finds an older one, post it in here and I'll merge. On topic... Lots of the traditional spares, 1x1 round plates and such. I especially appreciate spare minifig items: cutlasses, lightsabers and blades, visors. The best unexpected extras I've ever had were probably a bag of light grey wings in my Death Star II and an extra bag of clone accessories (visor, pauldron, guns, etc) in one of the late 2008 sets. Oh, and a cape. Opened the little box and there were two of them, stuck together. There have been lots of random bits and pieces that were too big to belong as extras, including things that didn't even belong in the set. I have come to appreciate the parts inventory at the back of the instructions just to confirm that I didn't forget to put that 1x8 technic brick somewhere and it's really not part of the set. Saves a lot of trouble that way.
