  3. LEGO Licensed Themes Set Information & Review Index Welcome! Here you will find an index of Licensed sets with corresponding set stats, links to more information about those sets (coming soon!), instructions from LEGO.com (last post), and reviews by EB members. Themes represented include Avatar, Batman, Cars, Ferrari, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Prince of Persia, Speed Racer, Spider-Man, SpongeBob Squarepants, Studios, Super Heroes, Toy Story and Williams. Please do not reply to this thread. To comment on or discuss this index, please visit this thread. If you have reviewed something that is located in this forum, but not in the index, please check your thread. In most cases, you were skipped due to missing images. Maybe you moved them, maybe they expired on your host. The rest probably didn't include a pic, but simply links. Offsite reviews will not be indexed. If you wish to be included, please make sure that your images are appearing properly then reply to the discussion thread with a link to your original thread, and you will be added during the next pass. For complaints, please go here. Enjoy! Please note that this index is not 100% current. For now, the Set Index is a more complete reference.
  4. You know, I'm getting tired of people trying to use me to vouch for them. Just because someone tells me "a little story" doesn't mean it's the truth, nor does it mean I believe it. It might just be exactly that, "a little story." If I was certain enough about it, I would have brought it up myself, which you will notice I haven't done. Personally, I've always thought this Agent Black thing was like an urban legend designed to scare good little mobster kids into behaving. I have seen no proof of it, and I certainly can't prove that you are somehow magically immune to such at attempt. The only people I believe can't be turned into rats are already rats. Maybe that's the trick here. Now he's Mr. Tough-guy, when it's out in the open.
  5. ImperialShadows Decals Comprehensive Visual Index Greetings! Welcome to my personal index of decals, stickers and designs. Over the next few pages, I'll be showcasing the various designs I have created for you to use, absolutely free of charge: just print, apply and enjoy (and maybe share some pics, I'd love to see them). Organization Mostly alphabetical by theme. The Town section includes a unique chronological look at the designs and then offers a large number of recolours of them as well as full set restoration stickers to bring those old sets back to life. Those designs that venture outside of traditional minifigs, like flags, maps, shields, clocks and computers, have been placed at the end of the index under "Other Things." In many cases, a decal officially fits in one area but could easily be used in another. Sometimes I note this, other times I leave it to your imagination. Don't limit yourself! There are many Star Wars decals that are perfectly suited to pirates, peasants, generic spacemen, even citizens of your classic town. Adventurers and Indiana Jones are often incredibly compatible. Indiana Jones, Wild West and Star Wars all feature parts that could be used to create a number of historical military figures. The possibilities are endless if you take the time to look through everything. Current Pages include: Adventurers, Avatar, Castle, Indiana Jones, Pirates I and II (including flags), Space, Super Heroes and Villains, Star Wars, Town (chronologically organized and including set restorations), Wild West (including set restorations and custom flags), Fabuland, Famous Cartoon Characters, Flags, Maps, Shields, and Other Things (clocks and classic computers). Resolution / Quality / Modification Click the thumbnails to view the full size decal (seriously, someone printed one of the thumbnails and it didn't look terrible, but that isn't the intent). Nearly all of my decals are made to be printed at 600dpi (dots per inch) to produce the correctly sized result. For a torso, which is my primary interest, that would be 1.551cm x 1.227cm. Any variations in this will be noted with the appropriate decals. I work at that resolution for two reasons. One, it provides plenty of room for detail. Two, it allows me to work in a way that more closely resembles the typical LEGO style of printing, namely solid colours in close proximity. What does this mean? Simply that you will rarely find dozens of shades of the same colour in one of my creations, they tend to be solid. Why? Because the printed result will still look just as good without giving up the ability to easily replace colours, fill in patterns, or completely change details without harming the decal. In other words, if you load one of my decals in your favourite paint program and use a fill tool, you can change any colour to whatever you want: the ultimate in customization, make it what you want it to be. My decals are made using a colour chart I assembled based on Peeron, Bricklink and LEGO colour sources. If you'd like to modify my decals, make your own, or are simply curious, here is the chart. Note: I have noticed a great deal of printing variation, especially among older and multicoloured torsos. Basically, when they were originally printed, each colour was applied seperately. If the torso wasn't perfectly lined up with it's previous position, one colour might end up printed in a slightly different location, causing some odd results. I have tried to take that into account and correct such problems to create a decal that gives the overall impression of how the torso was intended to look. Fair Use / The Rules There are, however, a few basic things to remember when using my work. Some designs are my impression of original TLG designs. They may be incredibly close or heavily modified, as noted. Don't claim anything here as your own, even if you modify it. At the very least, give credit to the source, please. As a general rule, I would prefer you didn't modify anything I have done. Don't sell my work. Ever. There are no exceptions here. I may consider selling designs, printed decals or fully finished torsos at some point, but if I do, I will never sell any design that I didn't design myself (in other words, I won't sell TLG designed decals, even if they have been out of production for decades). Don't use my work to trick people into thinking they are purchasing an original LEGO printed torso or part. Don't use my work to make anything offensive. I realise this is vague: if you have any doubt, pm me first. Future Expansion and Use of this Thread As time passes, more decals will be added. Discussion concerning these decals, questions about them or pictures of their use are encouraged in this thread. Some suggestions, especially recolours, may be considered and added, if they seem useful, no harm in mentioning it. General requests do not belong here. All requests should be made in The Request Thread instead. Thanks for your cooperation!
  6. It's the discussion thread now, unpinned but soon to be linked to this one. You're still the first post, so you can modify it anytime you have something. Until I've done a lot of other stuff, I'll just keep mirroring that post here. Oh, and I'll move these posts in a bit and lock this thread (I knew I forgot something earlier)
  7. Indy 2009 News and Pictures This thread (entire forum) is currently being overhauled. Special thanks to darthperson for his efforts in tracking the news. 8. This whole story is bull and as long as the three of you stick to it, we're never going to be able to find out who is the rat. Iris says there are 2 left, so you can't all be bad, how about the loyal one steps up and tells the truth before things get ugly? As it is, things are looking very bad for you Dragonateri. Feds at the house and a wide open affair you've allowed to go on... I don't know what to think of you anymore.
  9. Yay! We love good news, even if you do look stupid for it. Hell, that might be best kind. Congrats on getting your parts AND a funny story to tell.
  10. Whoa whoa whoa there... no one mentioned FBI trucks at the Dragonateri house before. As much as I hate to do it, maybe we need to put off Willie for a minute (notices that a certain someone breathes a tiny bit easier for a moment). Don't get excited, we'll be back, punk. You did forget the 3rd possibility... Dickie is a rat and trying to get information out of Alicia to use against Dragonateri. Basically, any one of them (or more) could be bad. I don't like this a bit.
  11. I'm not sure we can count Dragonateri out of that, but yeah, overall that makes sense. Agreed. Just as we said we would yesterday. Maybe whoever forgot to vote won't make that mistake again? I'm starting to very seriously think that you're both bad and you think that killing her first will allow you to talk yourself out of it.
  12. Or maybe he could temporarily fill in for the slightly missing Bernard Knightly *cough*Jipay*cough* and give us a hand?
  13. Seriously, people, read the first post. Copmike makes it very clear what will happen if you get lazy. Don't be stupid and make him prove it. Not again... Don't play moderator, that's my job.
  14. It's not bad, but the pirate vest looks way too light compared to the old ones. I'm sure it's just the picture, at least I hope so. As for ever seeing a forestman, forget it, the hats are out of production. It would literally take making new molds to produce them again, and that would hardly be worth the effort unless they launch a completely new line of them. If by Futuron you mean the current racing type helmets, that's what they are.
  15. What a twisty day. Iris knows who works for her, so if she was loyal she could have cleared all of this up already. Then she said she'd kill someone for not voting and wimped out. Geez, we could be done with this problem if she was just doing what she should. We didn't even have a problem until she showed up. Anyone want to vote for her deceitful megablocks? But seriously, we failed to successfully vote yesterday but the killers did exactly what I proposed early in the day and gunned it out, scoring us another win. Burn in hell, Trexxasani, you were a damn good liar and now you're dead meat. So, Alicia has been getting a little Dickie on the side, huh? Sounds like a blackmailer's dream. According to Dragonateri, the feds can blackmail people into becoming rats. Makes you wonder if Alicia or Dickie took the plunge. Then again, it makes me wonder why a Baritone man would let his wife disgrace him without taking action. I guess they aren't making them like they used to. And we return to Willie. Still begging like a little baby and still with nothing to indicate anything different than before. Let's not get complacent, folks. Iris magically knows there were 3 rats left, so now there must be 2. Willie and Pavarti for the failed operation? Alicia and Dickie for their little love-fest? Some unknown combination we haven't even considered? Where do we go from here? We're finally getting close, but now it gets difficult.
  16. Happy Birthday, oh-he-who-I-used-to-get-confused-with! Let's see, you've gotten cake and a girl and the obligatory LEGO, I'm sure, so what does that leave?
  17. But this is a LEGO site, this doesn't belong in Licensed since it isn't a LEGO license, and we already have a useless thread devoted to it anyway. In the game of "but" "but" "but", I win. Merged.
  18. Clearly we need the other half of that disc, so let's look under everything, especially the round things. I'll start with the barrel, work my way to the coasters, then the tray and various tables. The tray isn't round. Your face isn't round, either.
  19. Sets. Never have called them anything else. Don't care if it comes in a box, a bag or a bucket. If I had to guess, I would say that this person came to the "kit" conclusion based on a licensed theme set, probably Star Wars. One could easily argue that many of the licensed sets are mostly suited to building one specific thing and the alternatives aren't particularly great. How many uses can you put a TIE canopy to? Well, I can think of a few, but overall, it's a TIE canopy. What the person missed is that if you put the specialty pieces aside, you can build anything you want with the rest, which is the same as it's always been. The other possible reason is that licensed sets include specific minifigs: Han Solo or Harry Potter or Spongebob. These people are who they are and in some cases, can't really be anyone else. Old sets may have had a band of pirates and their captain, but you could mix them around and make any of them the captain, have some assume civilian roles, or even split them up into different crews. It's much harder to do that with a bunch of Stormtroopers or Clones. He's also lost his imagination with age. When I was a kid, classic Space or Futuron minifigs were Star Wars figures, divided up by colour with other types of figures added in to be the more specific characters. You could do that now with Star Wars figures as aliens or robots or some kind of space faction, you just need imagination. I use some of the Star Wars Jedi torsos as Pirates or Castle citizens. There are no limits. When you think that a set can only be built to form one thing, you call it a kit. I personally see sets as minifigs with accessories and places or things to do. (I'm not much for sets without minifigs, I'll admit) As for the model builder who calls them kits, I can overlook that. He sees anything that comes in a box and has a bunch of parts as a kit. The professionals will take multiple model kits and use them to build things that aren't intended, they call it kit bashing, so for them LEGO must seem similar. Ramble ramble ramble. I'll shut up now.
  20. If that doesn't work, I'm fairly sure we've found an axe somewhere in the house and I'm not above chopping everything in this room to little bits and then the walls for good measure.
  21. Maybe if you didn't wear such short skirts... I'd like to begin moving all of the furniture to the middle of the room starting with the sideboard and working my way anti-clockwise.
  22. Jerk. I was actually being mock-sarcastic, not even full sarcastic. You've never seen me at full sarcastic. That's the way I'm understanding it and what I agreed to. You know, his family has the worst luck whenever there are two night killers. As I recall, the last one was murdered in the hallway by one killer and they even had paint-o-graph evidence of it, then convicted the wrong killer first. It's a bit like ordering a steak at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Don't blame me, Iris said Don't Panic, more or less. Nevertheless, in keeping with Iris's subtle suggestion to review Richie's email, let's see what it said. Ok, clearly he trusts someone who has a night action, so that doesn't save Willie, Pavarti, Piav, Dragonateri, Alicia, Dickie or me. I believe we've all made it clear at some point that we have no night actions. Assuming everyone is being honest. The last sentence is interesting though. "I believe the rats have con" ... contacted? contracted? conned? converted? constipation? continental breakfast? consensual sex? contributed to global warming? Lots of possibilities. I'm not jumping to any conclusions ("I believe the rats have concluded something?").
  23. A lot of work but a fine result! Thanks for sharing this step by step tutorial, now maybe someone will start using all these decals we've made.
  24. I trust us to kill her, I don't really trust either of them right now, unless they want to kill each other or we can pick a third suspect as a test. LISTEN AND HEAR ME! You are both as good as dead. It doesn't matter if we had voted her off first, you would have died the next day, whether she is loyal or a rat, just as she will die tomorrow no matter what you are. We are going on the idea that it has taken two rats to ruin an operation before and you're the only two living members of that last operation. There is no other way to be sure in this situation. Quit whining. Geez, some people, you plan to kill them and they take it so personally.
  25. Very noble, or you've got a hot date with a ghost tomorrow. Either way, you were dead today or tomorrow, but if you'd like to make the gesture to go first, consider my vote cast. Let's hope we haven't made a Grim decision. (OOC: Yes, my one and only OOC, but I felt the need to say sorry for the Grim joke, but dammit, they always crack me up)
