Now that's what I'm talking about! Very nicely done! I'm very pleased to see that you stuck with the colour chart and have definitely improved your quality tremendously. I took a minute and smoothed out a few areas that were a bit more jagged than necessary (I assume you used the circle making tool in paint). I also replaced the template background colour (it helps guide you when cutting the printed decals). I don't know what the original looks like, so I may have rounded something I shouldn't have, you never know. Is this an actual LEGO Agents design? It's pretty cool, either way. Very slightly modified. Keep up the great work! I use PSP 7, one of the last versions before they became Corel. If you ever want to host a vector class, count me in. I've made a total of 2 decals using vector graphics and both took hours for what would have been minutes normally. I just can't get the hang of it, I always either end up with things not quite lined up or a weird fluctuation in colour (build up brush effect? It's almost like using a pressure pad, but I use a mouse. I don't know).

Mystery Manor - Chapter Seven

I think we're standing in the bedroom, so let's try the bedroom door and if that doesn't work, the attic door. -
You sir, have managed to get me to make my first Bionicle post ever. Nice job, it made me laugh.

And people wonder how I managed it ... Don't forget, it was Quarrioni, your own loyal night killer who took you out, not the vote. Don't blame me, I was just a simple no-night-action waste removal company owner and brainwashed former Russian chef who had previously been KGB and a wrestler. Crazy game.

Yeah. It makes me feel all warm inside, too. Right, Rotrigous, the King's Advisor and misunderstood hero of Mystery Castle. As for participating, you never know. I did notice you reading the threads a lot when I was posting, so it was nice to see that someone other than the players was following along. -

It wasn't me, I was so confused during that game that I wouldn't have even considered it. Maybe it was Hinck, since he was the only actual witch. -
Now this is a blast from the past. It was this very contest that spurred me to make my first post to EB and launched my multiple personality disorder use of talking birds in colours and the wizard Aluvar of EBRP fame. Wow, Bluervo, it seems like only yesterday. I know, Pinky, think... if it hadn't been for this contest, none of us would exist. Of course we would exist, we just wouldn't exist here. Did we exist anywhere else before this? No, but that's not the point. What is the point? Does anyone really know the point? Don't try that existential nonsense on me. Shush, you two, you're not the point of this post. Does anyone really know the point of this post? I hope he does, but you never can tell... We've I've always loved this MOC, it's perhaps our my favourite part of the whole theme, much like Sinner said.

Rotrigous Gambit A classic maneuver that occurred during Mystery Castle. Basically, I had been told that I had to betray the leader of the traitors in order to win and that he was trying to discover who was going to betray him. I knew I needed to get rid of him quickly, and at the same time, build up public opinion that I was loyal. Despite having no visible evidence of his treason, I accused him and then declared that "If he doesn't turn out to be bad, you can kill me tomorrow!" It's important to note that it only works when the person you're accusing is actually bad. After that, I used his death to remind people that I must be loyal (when I wasn't) and if it hadn't been for my inability to get a treacherous investigator killed, I think we would have won. -
Hey! You guys were the bastards Baritones! Thanks! Coming from you, that means a lot. *kicks your tombstone anyway* No no no, that's not how it went at all. Geez, it's almost like you weren't even there. Ok, so I was loading the last box in the front of the truck, a special box of whiskey for us to celebrate after the job, when I heard gunshots and dropped the box. Piav, rat that he was, pulled me out of the truck hoping to help the cops arrest me and then threw some trash at Johnny, knocking him to the ground. Then he dropped his wire, stepped on it, and ran like a little girl. Alicia shot me in the ear while I was going around to close up the back of the truck (why was I closing up the back of the truck at this point? because I made this story up very quickly at the time) and then ran like hell. I stopped in a bathroom in the park then returned to the warehouse and reported in. Alicia and Johnny showed up in ridiculous costumes because Hinck had a concussion that day. It makes a lot more sense now, doesn't it?

I added a rear view to the first post because it's so impressive. Great job!

Happy Birthday, guys! Hope it was great! Is that space logo strategically placed to prevent the white spacedude from being embarrassed for being too excited about the anniversary?

There are some very good ideas here. I'm sure you've found it hard to fit more detail in at times because of the space you're working in, but it isn't really as complicated as you might think. The secret is in using a higher resolution and making sure the image is set to that when printing. The end result will be a much more detailed decal, but still the correct size. Personally, I use 600dpi (dots per inch), which is about double the old common standard. This allows me to get a lot of detail but still draw exactly the same way you do, in pixels. When when it's printed, all of it shrinks down to the right size to produce a smooth looking decal, and it can easily be recoloured. Blank Torso Template (Click for full size) Sample Torso (Clickity Click) Test print and application by our very own Hinckley Just something to consider trying. It's a lot of fun to be able to pack the details in. For more examples, take a look at my index. Thank you for sharing your work and please keep us updated!

Very nice job, and so quick, I mean, it's like we were all just discussing this and boom, it happened! I went there, just to make sure we weren't promoting something unexpected. We weren't. -
New pieces or existing pieces in more colors
Shadows replied to Eilif's topic in General LEGO Discussion
More widespread use of colours, especially the dark and sand varieties. I'd also like to see every design of hair and more hats in every potentially realistic colour. It's a cheap and easy way for TLG to insure some additional sales and one I would think they would be happy doing, if for no other reason than to more accurately represent the world around them without having to produce new parts. -
Mystery Manor - Chapter Seven

*thunder rumbles loudly in the background and the lights flicker for a moment as the music builds to a creepy climax* He's doing it again. Yeah, but it's always a little amusing. I wasn't complaining. You think they've figured it out yet? Nah, I don't think they've got so much as a clue between the lot of 'em. Silly humans. Excuse me. I mean, I wouldn't want to interrupt your show or anything, but some of us are trying to solve a murder here. And wait for pizza. Where is that pizza? No, that's not it. OH YES! *points at Lt. Spencer* How about you tell us just why it is that Creepy Chester was calling you shortly before his murder! -

Perhaps. I actually caught up, know who half the traitors are and he was about to be sent to the arena. For some reason, I think he had a plan, but damned if I know what it was. Pure lunacy. He even tried the Rotrigous Gambit before I invented it, but he did it completely wrong. Oh, and he kept killing you and calling people pigs. And oinking. -

YES! *grabs the phone, checks recently dialed calls, then recently received calls, then orders pizza* PIZZA! Isn't it a little odd to keep a cellphone locked away, instead of on your person? Chester was one weird dude. -
I like them, except for a few minor things. First, the water. Any chance of it being a solid colour? Second, the borders. The last two have unnecessary borders. For example, the blue one is 562x180, when it only needs to be 548x140. Beyond that, if you could also offer them in about half that size, it would probably be better for sig use. People like to abuse their sigs and someone will want to use 3 of those and end up huge. Good job!

I can do a lot worse than that. And seriously, don't flood Hinck with a bunch of crap or you'll find that he can do even worse than I can.

I just finished reading that. Had to check to make sure it wasn't me. *mutters to self* Win two games as a loyalist and one as a rat and what do they remember you for? -

You mean it would have long gaps where everyone griped that it wasn't moving fast enough? I never understood the whole situation there. I should go read that. When I get a chance... So! It ran up to a point and stopped? Are most of the players even around anymore? I'm sure replacements could be found for the missing, of course... *cough* -
Freudian slip, much? I believe you mean disadvantage, unless you really did think that me being all alone was some kind of unfair advantage against everyone else. I'm going to shut up now, they're already planning how to kill me in the next game as it is.

That's what duped me for a while (hell, I was still duped until I was turned and you pm'ed me). I figured that since you had killed Boyd, then gave the winky nod about it in the next day's topic, you must be good. Ivan was still being in his confusified state then. In the long run, it was better you didn't, since you were immediately found to be a rat. It might have made it harder for me. Then again, who knows? I do embellish, a bit. It keeps things interesting, though I think it always makes me look suspicious. Sort of like Hinck. We play these similarly in that regard. Of course he was actually a witch, so that's different. Undead since 1836.

I only save the ones I receive, though some of the replies have the original in them. I must have 150... When I was loyal, I spent a lot of time getting everyone to tell me what they knew and observed because I had no night action. I was literally the most boring character possible, aside from the landmine I still don't know about. The first important break came early when Johnny told me that he had seen Perry and Inertiateri arguing outside my house. From there, I got each of them to tell me their version of it and basically knew what each one did in the game, just not their loyalty. I also knew that I had a good chance of building up trust, which I only intended to use to protect myself from rat accusations. After that, I tried some random fishing for information and learned about Dragonateri's visit from Agent Black and heard about the affair. Since LeAnn had already mentioned that one was going on, I automatically believed it, not realising that she was just a nut (and right anyway). I was able to piece some things together that made me start to suspect Dickie, but couldn't see a way to use it. When Agent Black showed up at the warehouse, I was surprised and a little disappointed. I was really into being loyal, but realised that it was the perfect break: I was trusted, I knew a lot of stuff about the loyal family and there were a number of loyal members in line for the gallows with just a little nudge (and I knew how to nudge 'em). In some ways, I blew my cover at that point because I stopped sending as many PMs. It wasn't important for me to collect much more information, I knew pretty much everything I needed to know, but I should have kept sending them, just to maintain appearances. Fortunately, it didn't end up mattering. Before Pavarti died, I suggested that she distract the issue by revealing the affair, but she just didn't seem to understand how to use that and I had to resort to getting Johnny to snoop around and do it. I was hoping that Dickie and Dragonateri would kill each other, imagining that they each had a landmine of some sort that would result in the other's death. When it only took Dragonateri, I was disappointed, but knew that made both Dickie and Alicia look bad. It wasn't hard to keep the idea of a rat in the affair going, and ultimately it killed them all. This was definitely a behind-the-scenes manipulation game, which gave it an incredibly different dynamic from all the previous ones. If you notice, during the last day I made this big announcement that we should just start doing everything out in the open instead of privately, then spent the next few PMs making sure Quarrioni and Johnny were on board to kill Dickie without ever saying a word in the thread and setting the endgame in motion. I'll miss this game, it was definitely one of the most interesting yet.
