  1. Thanks. I have been waiting to see detail shots for a while. :-) Indeed; perhaps it is still raining in France? ;-)
  2. That is an excellent improvement. I haven't bought mine yet, I bought the Cement Mixer instead. I am planning on doing a similar conversion. Thanks for the ideas!
  3. That's some real nice landscaping. Bit of a confusing theme though! (Not that I can talk; I am trying to add a castle to my city layout; I don't have room for two separate ones!)
  4. I took this photo just before I moved it all as I decided that I wanted to play with my trains more. It also includes a few of my Star Wars sets (most slightly modded but you can't tell too well in this photo), two MOCs, and a modded Hero Tank (orange Mech to the left). (The MOCs are a Endor landing platform to the left which is broken now, and a Martian War Machine to the right which is not finished yet.) After I re-built a city I realised that I missed a few, but I was not going to re-set it all up again! Missing I believe is Gate Defender (I broke the gate), Fire Vulture and Mecha One. By the look of your boxes, I think you beat me.
  5. Your lucky. I'm only allowed out between 2am and 8am.
  6. Thanks very much for posting this. So far I have only seen Serenity and I loved it. I am on the lookout for the series and I will buy it on sight!
  7. Nah, can't be Indy; his shirt and bag are pristine! His pants and hat are better though. I think he is looking alright for a sixty year old.
  8. Back on topic, as ordered ;-) , in most cases the Brickmaster sets are small and not very special. Often you can get them in other ways, such as with Scholastic books. I can't say that I am very stressed about this news. Even so, if Brickmaster was available for Australians I would subscribe; I love recieving Lego in the mail!
  9. That is excellent (not to mention surprising) news. I think it is better this way; if people want to glue it it should be their choice. I am seriously considering buying this now...
  10. It all makes sence now. Do you know why the new martians cannot move their arms? Is it because they are genetic defects, or is it something far, far more sinister?
  11. Thanks. Oh, she is such a babe. She makes me wish I was a Lego man.
  12. Ahh, well that was my mistake. To save money (the exchange rate at the time was 0.50 cents) I rarely left base. I thus did all my shopping at the NEX (Navy Exchange I believe), and all they had were the :-X Hershey bars.
  13. Welcome Thok! I actually bought Thok and he is one of the few that I still have together. Try to not go too insane hanging around here.
  14. But that is exactly what I am talking about. The US seem to refuse to sell plain chocolate in decent sized portions. M&Ms for example are more candy than chocolate. Even Nestle, which sell OK chocolate in Australia, don't seem to in the US. I think it is simply a case that Americans don't want plain chocolate, while in Australia it is common for 250 gram blocks to be sold. I could never find anything like that when I was there. But it could simply be a case of being in the wrong location.
  15. Not my favorite option, but I have seriously considered it. The US of A however doesn't know how to make good chocolate. I was in San Diego for three months (RADAR course for the Australian Navy) and I was hanging out for decent chocolate the entire time. I would need to find a cheap way to import it from elsewhere first; not much point moving to save money on Lego if I then spend more money on chocolate!
  16. I am curious how much of the sales that Lego make are in the US. From the way they act it must be 75%. Anyone know?
  17. Yes, I bought that a few months ago. Aside from instantly modifying so it didn't have the rubber-band weapon in the engine I have quite liked it. Much better than the last one. Even so, it is on my break list now, right after I finish sorting out my parts. Oddly, as a "the new movies aren't as good as the old" type of guy, it surprises how much I wan the MTT. I don't even like the thing, but somehow the Lego one is appealing. I am sick. Yes, this year has been quite good. I considered buying the Service Station last week, but there are some sales due my way in a few weeks so I bought the Cement Mixer instead. Enjoy your stay on Eurobricks! I have yet to find someone who like them. I am no exception!
  18. Not sure what I think of it yet. I liked the concept pictures, I like Lego Star Wars (that is the games), but I have never been a big fan of open-ended games; I just wonder what is the point? It seems odd to me to spend time improving a virtual life when your real one is going down the toilet... Hopefully more will become clear when the game is ready.
  19. Welcome! I was a long time lurker as well. Eventually my desire to vote in some of the polls persuaded me to join, then I made a comment, and then I gave up lurking and introduced myself. Have you just been buying Star Wars Lego lately? (Unfortuantly for me, I tend to like, and buy, all.)
  20. Wow! They sound like something that would go with my genuine KNEX bricks. Are they compatible?
  21. Cool! I love how you added the cute horse and shoe sticker. (Digitally I assume since it isn't in the latter pictures.)
  22. The funniest part is the price; you can buy the real sets for those prices, and that doesn't even include the postage. Anyone who buys them is an idiot. (No, I have never heard of this brand before. The name is a laugh as well.)
  23. I like it, especially the shoulders.

I agree. I think the shipping should be free (or at least close) as they are taking what would be normally store profit. The USA often has free shipping, but I have only seen it for Australians with the Millenium Falcon. Surely they can have a "Shipping free with all sales over $200" deal? I understand that they don't want to annoy retail stores, but they go too far. I try to wait until there is a sale on something that I wanted to compensate for the shipping, otherwise it is hard to justify. I would rather spend the shipping costs on actual Lego!
