  1. Great Job!! We have one too, but haven't assembled it yet. It looks good!
  2. Hi All, I searched this topic and this was brought up before, but I wanted to hammer this home. On page 180 of the instructions, they have you putting a rock sticker on what becomes the left center tower. I don't believe that the book is printed correctly here, and I contacted TLG about it too. I would either wait until you get to the taller tower sections to put this on, as the alignment in the book seems to never be correct. If you look at other's photos who built it, I have yet to see someone actually have that sticker in the correct place. Be warned about this spot... might be the same on the other side too, but this is where I've seen it the most. hth
  3. Has anybody had any part issues with this set? Most of the plates in the un-numbered bag were warped. I'm not sure if it was a manufacturing error or just because it had been very hot here in New England that week. I also had a missing part, and an extra 1x8 (I think, could be 1x6) light blueish grey brick. TLG sent me some new parts, which was very awesome, but I was wondering if anybody else was having part issues with this set. Thanks! I'm not sure how to post images from google photos, so here's one that I shared of the plate issue - https://goo.gl/photo...CZWKANLfcXmG3D7
  4. Very nice woootles! impressive.
  5. Hi Everyone, I'm not quite sure where to put this thread, so hopefully this is the right place. I just purchased two sets of 75149, and both sticker sets seem to be a tad off. I'll add a photo of two of the round stickers which are way off-center. Does anybody know if there's anything I can do to get good sticker sets? Have any of you who own this model seen the same? Thanks! Jay
  6. This is a very cool set... I have some thoughts about it and am not sure if anyone else is (yet), or maybe I can spark some ideas flowing... This looks like a set that might be good for buying multiples of just for the piece count, though many are very small pieces. Here are some ideas I had for this in terms of customizing it: Can the clock be made to be an actual clock? I don't see this as a possibility without ripping out the ornate clock faces that they provided and replacing each with a real clock, but it's something to think about, as this set would make an EXCELLENT desk clock. Also, how about adding a sound module that plays the Big Ben chimes? I think that would be an easier modification than the real clocks, but if tied to real clocks, would be pretty impressive! Just a few preliminary ideas about this set... This might make me actually open up my Tower Bridge to display instead of having it sit in storage haha!
  7. Very cool!! I'm visiting Skagway next week and am planning on taking this train up the mountain. I've done it a few times in the past and it's a wonderful trek!
  8. Question for those who have built this one... I just completed bag #1. The whole ramp-raising process is difficult to move, and seems wrong... fidgeting with the pieces broke them all apart. After finishing bag #1, it seems a bit more sturdy, but still seems a bit off. That little yellow level moves the full 90 degrees but feels tight on both ends, like i'm stressing the parts. Is this normal? Thanks! UPDATE - My problem was a temporary one... this set is amazing.. Great review for a great set... it's the first thing that your eyes go to amongst all my other sets. I have it at the top of some stairs and you see it while walking up... very cool!
  9. Thanks for the replies everyone!! I really appreciate it. I'll make sure to post about it when I have it looking better :)
  10. Thanks Bublible, Here's what I'm doing... I'm trying to create my three-story townhouse as a modular... it's skinny and tall, so I thought it would be a good practice building as I have a template to work off of. I've created the base and stairs for the first story, but am now ready to start on the second one... so I wasn't sure if I should just build the second story next to the first, then be able to highlight the entire thing to see how it fits, etc... I'm a beginner to LDD, so I didn't know that importing other files into one was possible, but I don't see the benefit in that. At the same time, I'm building a few of the modulars to learn more about them and get ideas on the actual build. Thanks!!
  11. Thanks! I wasn't aware that I could import one file into another... I'm new to this aspect of building, and really appreciate the advice :)
  12. Hi Everyone, I'm starting to create a building in LDD and am wondering h ow you go about creating multiple floors. Do you have 1 LDD file for the entire building, or create separate files for each floor? I'm leaning towards keeping everything in a single file, but am not sure if that's recommended. Thanks!
  13. This is how I made my designs when I was a child (albeit not nearly as nice!)... I like this quite a bit... nice job! EDIT: I guess this was my first post!! I've been lurking :)
