  1. Those look really awesome and it's impressive how you caught all the details of the real things. My favourites would be Sandrock and Deathscythe but I imagine that the former probably is the hardest one to build in mini-scale, thanks to his main weapon being two heated sickles - the scythe for the latter shouldn't be a problem, although it might not be avaiable in the original trans-green colour. Are you going to do the upgraded versions of the Gundams as well once you've finished the first ones? Heavyarms would probably look really mean with his two double-miniguns It'd also be great to see the Gundams piloted by the opponents, like the Tallgis (probably definitely written wrong), Wing-Zero and Epion.
  2. Yes, I'd only need to drive about 20km to the southeast to get to the tower. But despite living so close by, I've only seen it from afar until now and didn't actually visit it.
  3. Both your towers look really amazing and it's stunning how you managed to make them look almost exactly like their original counterparts. The second tower looks surprisingly familiar, so I wondered if this, by any chance, could be the renovated tower on top of the Hrádek near Varnsdorf?
  4. During the past week I aquired several sets, mostly from the Kingdoms-line which I think soon will form my largest army - this title currently is held my vikings. The sets are "Outpost Attack", "Attack Wagon" (2x to even out the balance between the factions), "Court Jester", "Wizard", "Kingdoms Advent Calendar 2010" and finally "Knights Duell". Other than that I also got two elfes (my first minifigs from the collectable series) and lat but not least the MMV, which I yearned for since I first saw it in a catalogue back in early 2009. Although all sets weren't above the prices of S@H (the MMV even was 10€ cheaper), I spent way too much money but I think it's worth it Now I'll have to restrain myself in order to safe money for the Tower of the Dragon Knights, the castle and, of course, for the new sets
  5. That's a really nice and realistic chapel. The use of relatively few colours adds to the realism and highlights the windows, which are among the most elaborate and expensive elements of chapels, even more. I also like the way you built the cemetry, it looks really great and fits well into the complete MOC
  6. That's a great castle indeed and full of interesting details (e.g. the ghost or the cart near the paddocks). I'm trying to build a castle in LDD as well (and started from scratch after finding the universe mode), but I doubt it will come close to your excellent work.
  7. Thanks for the welcome. I've already found out about brickshelf and have seen many great MOC's there, some of which are nothing short of masterpieces. Since I find it exciting to imagine how those dioramas, castles, spaceships etc. are built I might start creating some myself, although my Lego isn't staying where I am right now.
  8. ZO6 posted a great review of 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress two weeks ago. Here's the link: Largest castle of the Dragon Masters
  9. A great review of a set I always wanted to have once I saw it in the catalogues, too. The figures are great and I really love the design of the torso, especially that of the leader. This set also was among the first I aquired after getting out of my Dark Age, as I started out searching for all the sets of the Dragon Masters as those always was my favourite series. But compared to the prices it's usually sold for when in MISB condition, I was lucky to get a MISB copy for extremely low 8€ + shipping costs - most likely the seller at the bay didn't know what he sold at all I wonder why this review isn't indexed yet?
  10. Hi, I'm Abu Dun. If I were to count all the years when I didn't care for Lego all that much, then my Dark Age of Lego did last for about 6 or 7 years. But after I first noticed a Viking set in a store my love for Lego took the chance and awakened from a year-long slumber. It then went back to sleep for a short time, but when the Dwarven Mine (which currently is among my Most-Wanted sets) appeared I completely left the Dark Age behind and started to collect all the sets I always wanted to have since I was a young child. With some I mostly succeeded (e.g. the Dragon Masters and the Wolf Pack), while others are extremely hard to find within the price-limit I have set for myself. Long Story short, it's nice to see that there are many people all over the world who share this continuing love in what I think is the best toy ever invented. It's nice to know that one isn't the only 'crazy' one around So long, Abu Dun
