  1. Different themes have different budgets. Not a surprise that their own huge movie event takes priority over a regular licensed theme
  2. Same reason they use stickers. Differently printed pieces require unique storage areas, increasing the cost of storing them. Plus designers are given a "budget" of new pieces, pieces in new colors, and unique prints in each set they design. Not giving Gamora a unique chest print gave them the chance to do something else in another part of the set.
  3. They're saving money by reusing a print, not that hard to see.
  4. The problem isn't whether doctor who is popular in the states, it's about who it's popular with; adults love it. Children, not so much. That's why you don't see who merchandise in American toy aisles, you see it in places where adults shop. And if kids aren't buying it, it's not going to be a big seller for Lego, plain and simple.
  5. None that I've seen, but there is this. Is it probably the Ninjago series? Yes, but with that black background and another 20 figs one can hope.
  6. I'd be cautious about expecting a new figure, the main page of AMC just shows the phantom zone polybag
  7. It's just a teaser for the next CMF series, not a Batman one.
  8. Do you ever go to a store and not do something underhanded? You straight up lied and took advantage of that lady.
  9. They kept saying hi because they wanted you to stop messing around with the palettes but can't yell at you because "customer service". I mean seriously, these things are going to be everywhere for the next year, why on earth would you think that's okay?
  10. Fox doesn't own the X-Men, what they own is the film rights. Marvel still owns the comic characters and that is why they could make X-Men sets in the past, and indeed still are at least with the mighty micros. Marvel has just decided not to heavily promote the X-Men, or fantastic four for that matter, and as their license partner lego has to go along with that. If there are no X-Men, it's because that's what marvel wants.
  11. Someone made a dumb joke because somebody else used the words beyond and Batman in the same sentence. There is no rumor.
  12. What would that have to do with the lego batman movie?
  13. Or it's Batman's home, a Wayne manor set.
  14. They're going to save important, fan desired characters like that for future sets, don't forget that they've got these things planned out years in advance. Why blow a batman beyond figure on a 3 dollar purchase when they can get you to buy a sixty dollar set three years from now with him in it?
  15. I would be astounded if one of the new sets wasn't a new Milano.
  16. Wouldn't you rather new characters over the same half dozen rogues weve been getting since 2006?
  17. You haven't noticed that the dimensions sets seem to be targeted squarely at nostalgic adults? Lots of people loved that show in its heyday and will buy the figures based on that, just like Mr. T, e.t., gremlins, sonic, and almost every other license they're picking up for this.
  18. Here's betting they're all the same villains we always get.
  19. Nobody knows the answers to those questions, but logically it would be pretty stupid of them to not sell any of their most popular characters in stores. The exclusivity is almost certainly in reference to the packaging and the sdcc brick.
  20. not everyone seeks to know the entire plot of a movie before they see it.
  21. is it really that unusual that a company would want to promote its current products.
  22. That Robin is hilarious, fits Micheal Cera to a T in my opinion.
  23. I still haven't watched the film, but the novel has always had a special place in my heart and I think you've captured the look pretty well - now if only it was in stark greytone like the original illustrations!
  24. Isn't buying something to resale it the definition of scalping? You still kept anyone else who went to that store from getting the figs. That's the whole point of saying no to it.
