Do you buy 1 set to play with and 1 to keep sealed?
MinifigFreak2010 replied to thegurumb's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Nope. so far, it's only been 1 of a set and I build them. Only exception was when I got a second farmer impulse set off of lego a couple months back when I was ordering a few things. I had been thinking about trying to track down a second one b/c I really wanted another farmer and a pig(I only had 2 farmers at that point and 1 piggie) and I figured it being on sale for 2 bucks and staying within the shipping price range I was currently at was a good bargin. -
I have a new lucky find. Last month, I found a "let's build and play - with your bricks" at a local helping hands. I decided against getting it. Boy was I kicking myself for that one. Well, I got there yesterday and it was still there! Not only is it lucky it was still there, but also b/c it was a 1986 lego book, near MINT condition for 35 cents.

I almost never even post on the Boards anymore on lego.com. The posts take ages to be approved and many of the ones i make NEVER show up.

Lego bids to build a greater appeal for girls
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't own any Paradisa to date, but what I don't get is why is it a disliked set? I can't figure out why except the price seems a little steep. -
-walks in doing a victory dance- Lego IJ Wii is offically mine! It just arrived in the mail! Now to hook up the wii and play!

Lego bids to build a greater appeal for girls
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm after something like the belville line, but w/ a way better PPP ratio. The buckets are too pricey. HOWEVER while I do want pink and purple in sets, I don't want it to be pure pink or purple. I am not a girly girl and I don't like much pink stuff. The only pink I even have in my collection is some the 1X2 slope pieces I got from the lego store. I know I could look for pink on ebay but I heard that some lots are actually generic blocks. -
^lucky. Nothing better then free lego products I'm closer to offically owning my lego wii game. Paypal cleared, game was shipped, and i just checked the shipping status and it'll be here any day now. It was processed through a shipping center that's a few hours from us yesterday!

Help with identifying parts/sets!
MinifigFreak2010 replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm trying to ID a technic part. It's a piece that looks like a quarter circle or maybe a quarter oval. There's 2 straight sides that form a 90 degree angle and a curved part joining the 2 free ends. The shape looks like part of a clock(flat, not a window) i tried checking the BL Catalog but there's 26 pages of parts and I don't have time to hunt through the pages but I have no clue what the piece is called or what catagory it'd fit it to start doing a catagory hunt. I'm thinking about hunting down some individual technic elements on ebay since my last hunt for bulk technic came up short and this is a piece I'm after to add something interesting to my collection. -
Not really addicted here. I pop in and out throughout the day but I don't really hang around that many boards. I'm on the general for various posts, town mainly for MOC and review topics, and Community for the "what'd u buy today" That's about it.

oh ok. You may have better luck posting on the buy, sell, trade forum.

Have you tried eBay? Normally there's a cakepan or 2 floating around on the site.

New Smaller Reduced LEGO Box Size?
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Skull-Mark_Ladybug's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I noticed that w/ the log cabin there wasn't a ton of wasted space. I think they need to keep it up. I don't like oversized boxes. I have no use for them for storage since most lego boxes get the heave ho around here(except for some plastic containers) and I like plastic storage containers such as my rolling cart or stray shoeboxes way better then flimsy cardboard boxes. And i'm not into collecting the boxes or reselling so I have no use for that Plus if the boxes are smaller, a store could possibly carry more items. Even if it'd just a few more items, that could possibly mean that people would have an increased chance of being able to buy what they are after. The walmart we usually go to expanded their lego section. It's close to triple the size of the old set up O__O and the variety of themes also at least doubled from the last time I went. I'm not sure on the starwars sets though. My interest in lego is Mostly City and creator along w/ a light sprinkling of technic and racers. -
Do Lego themed video games count? I just won Lego Indiana jones for the Wii of eBay for $15.90. :D

How Many Minifigs do you own?
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Millacol88's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you take images of your figures, have you tried a powerpoint program or a wordpad document? -
If you buy from a repulable dealer, buying online is pretty safe. I've used ebay for multiple purchases(lego and non-lego) and I've only had a couple minor issues(Guy didn't send out an item and I filed a report to get it back and when I had an item mix up[got a ps2 controller instead of a GC memory card]) but those were sorted out fast. As far as lego related issues, none to date and i'm tracking an auction now.
-
Could you create a tutorial for those using a Bitmap program or point me to an existing one please? I want to upload an image to the "what is this" thread or even to my image bucket account then a like on the thread but I don't know how. I really want to learn more about an image in an eBay auction but I may want to upload it b4 the auction is over so I only want to upload a little of it. I've cropped the image already.

Lego Master Building Academy (MBA)
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Darth Jar Jar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I really hope that the price is unoffical. That is way to much for a lot of people. For me, the 40 buck on the BM thing was about the max i'm willing to go. I don't have that kind of money... Well, I do, but I'm trying to save up my money incase nintendo releases a 3dsXL. plus 100 is way to much for 1 year. 2 years MAYBE, 1 NO. I'm going email lego now. -
Lego Master Building Academy (MBA)
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Darth Jar Jar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
No suprise there. The search function doesn't work properly. I've tried hunting for topics and I come up empty and/or with a ton of stuff that is NOT related to what I need. And is there any word on how much it'll cost? -
How Many Minifigs do you own?
MinifigFreak2010 replied to Millacol88's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I sometimes wonder if minifigures can actually multiply like rabbits. I used to have very few but when I counted today, if my math is right, i have 143 of them O_O -
Glow in the Dark 4l bars
MinifigFreak2010 replied to stevenson166's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Where to buy? Maybe Brick link has some, but I know that eBay has some. Type "Glow in the dark LEGO lightsaber" into the eBay search engine. I just did and got 8 results. eBay is my favorite LEGO buying source. To date, i've yet to have any problems w/ LEGO products on the site. -
I grabbed a pic w/ my DSi XL. I really should free him from the bag when I get a chance b4 he trys to bust his way out XD but it'll probably be tomorrow. I'm heading to bed soon.

I finally did it! I did my first bag build When I went shopping w/ my mother, I picked up impulse sets jester and wizard. Well, she did but orginally I was going to pay for them myself but she put them in with her stuff. Tonight, i went and i built the little wizard. That was challenging! I'm debating between assembling the Jester in or out of the bag.
