  1. Does anyone know if the large minifig is one that's actually for sale or is it for display only? and if so, what the set name is/will be?: http://toyfair11.asmzine.com/gallery/lego/licensing/slides/IMG_6611.html Bottom right on the display stand. I think she's a clock O_o
  2. Went down for me to. Not sure exactly how long though. It was working fine earlier this after noon but when I went to hop back on at 7:30ish, it wasn't loading.
  3. I should of thought of that. Check the lego Customer service page. There should be a place to locate instructions.
  4. Well, there's the disposable food containers sold at most dollar general's(3 or 4 for a buck I think) and shoeboxes run about a buck or so a piece. and there's the wall mounted hardware organizers vary in price by size. The 18 drawer organizer I got from lowes cost about 16 bucks and I think the 39 drawer cost a little more. the 18 had all drawers that are the larger ones like the 39 drawers 9 big ones. There's also the little bead sorter boxes that are maybe a couple bucks. Places like walmart, target, DG, dollar tree, etc are bound to have cheap containers. You first need to decide how your gonna organize and figure out from there.
  5. As far as hand rotation issues? could be an improper fit(either the arm or hand wasn't formed properly causing issues) or maybe there's friction due to the material. I've tried rotating the hand on the Karate guy to put a trophey on his hand and I couldn't. I felt like I was gonna break it if I forced it.
  6. Is the ice dragon a lego store exclusive or could you try another store like Target or toys r us?
  7. If i'd have the money to spare, i'd go for Diagon alley. The details and minifigures are really cool. Plus it's not just one build your getting, but THREE buildings. That really is awesome.
  8. I did that to w/ ziploc bags of stray pieces. Last year, I managed to get most of the stray bags and the little containers I had b4 sorted out. I still have a couple bags of bit and pieces but things are in better shape then b4. When I started the rounding up progress, I found more stuff then I thought I had O_O
  9. Maybe if you don't have enough for a catagory by itself, how about using one container for "Misc" pieces. That's what I did when I started out w/ my 39 drawer organizer. Once it got to full, i'd go through and either start a new catagory and move pieces out or put some in an existing catagory. That drawer is long gone and made way for a couple misc drawers at the top row. Well, more like 1 mix misc and I think a mixed technic.
  10. I think SOME chinese molds may be a bit cheaper. The mold for the body parts seem to have sharper corners and overall just don't look quite right for a minifigure And the accessories do seem to be made of a slighty cheaper plastic, but the quality of the accessories seems to be pretty good.
  11. That type of labling wouldn't work out for me. I don't organize the majority of my collection by the piece and/or color method. I use a pretty odd method of organization(check page 18 for my post) that works out great for me. I've tried doing a set organization style and it never worked for me. And yet my method does evolve. Over the last couple weeks, we moved a display cabinet into my room and the series minifigs I got off ebay moved from the top drawer of a rolling cart to the cabinet and a few boxes(plastic shoeboxs and a larger one) migrated from stacked where ever I could into the case. It's working out pretty well for me. And I also got a 16 drawer hardware organizer(larger drawers like on the 39 drawer one) and am using 2 drawers for vehicle parts and the now empty red container is holding some stray pieces including the IJ jungle cutter thing that I never did finish(I barely got past putting the arms on) and I'm thinking about trying to morph into something of my own creation.
  12. As far as limited edition on the syringe, it doesn't make much sense to me. Wouldn't it be wiser to invest in a better mold? Even after the series syringes are done, they could use it to include in the doctor sets.
  13. While out yesterday, I got lego sets 8304 and 8301 to make a combo racer and I got the 10 dollar city police collection.
  14. I don't think the game is selling so well on legoshop.com XD It's 9.99 with free shipping. I'd go for it, but I don't know if it'd work on our desktop(IF it was running) and I doubt it'd run on the laptop. If it was like most other RPG's where you get it downloaded from the net and the subscription was a better price, then i'd probably go for it.
  15. There's a thread for this already. Check out this link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=43006&st=60&gopid=923720& Just make sure to include the picture. That's how I id'd a lego head. EDIT: oops. a mod must of merged the topics. But you are in the right place now.
  16. By flexable, I meant border line TO flexable for the product. I know it's supposed to be a LITTLE flexable, but it's feels cheaper then a pair or two I have that are a little older then these. And unless Lego changed the reason, there's two reasons to do it. Weight boost and to have extra. And yet the "QC" machine still blunders. For me, I got cursed w/ at least 3 or 4 sets out of about 6 I got from the last couple years ago up until about the 1 year ago mark with a missing piece(all were MISB with bags intact). So far in the last year, i've gotten some smaller plastic container sets and a police collection(10 bucks) and so far nothing critical missing as far as I know of. I did have a close call on the dumper but it turned out that after I sat down and poured the pieces out, one of the little bricks that looks like a deflated 1X1 brick went under my leg Good thing I didn't attemt to get up b4 I looked for it.
  17. i think it's more of a lego is letting quality slip and jacking the price up then an expense issue. like the handcuffs for the $10 police collection thing. They are definately cheaper made. I just finished assembling a misb set and the cuffs are to flexable and there was challenging to try and cuff a bad guy. And if they'd cut back on the # of extra stuff in sets, they'd probably be able to cut a few pennys or so off each product and maybe even have it translate to having molds last a little longer. I don't know about ya'll, but I have no use for extra 1X1 studs or police visors or the little slopes in sets. Currently, i'm in a love hate relationship w/ lego. I keep getting drawn back to their products, but I can't stand the price tags and the lack of girl stuff.
  18. Not today, but I got lego racer 9193 from toys r us and mom found 92 and 95 at walmart on Tuesday. combined w/ the 94 racer from christmas, I built the two combo racers today finally.
  19. Have you tried bricklink.com or eBay.com? I know ebay has a bunch of different instructions on there and BL might have some.
  20. I named mysef "Minifigfreak" b/c i love minifigures. Also, mom doesn't buy all of it. The majority is my own money or from ebay credit/money I earned from working around the house. Anyway, when she went to look, it was b/c it was on my christmas wishlist. She is currently keeping an eye out for some lego racers(8300's series. there's 2 i'm after to make a combo) that i'm after but no luck so far. yea I have all four of the 8100's they have and 3 she got, but here's how it breaks down: 1 was a late holiday suprise, one i found at toys r us(last yellow top in the store. a guy stocking the shelves checked a handheld computer thingy), and the other 2 my uncle got lucky on finding BUT i checked target and toys r us myself for them first and nada. If I would of thought about it while at toys r us or target, i should of picked up a couple racers to make a combo but the day I went, it was a long day so it didn't really cross my mind until after we got home. /)_-
  21. I never found ANY series 1, 2, OR 3 in stores. The only reason I have some series 2 and 3 is I got lucky on eBay. Actually, make that beyond lucky. It was nearly impossible to find a Baseball player and snowboarder for series 3 and except for the a guy on eBay having a couple surfer dudes and good prices, i'd still be hunting to this day. And I think blind picking is mean. Even if i COULD find them, i would stop looking for ones I want b/c I can't id by feel. I tried(for fun since I knew what was in the batch of bags I got from ebay for series 2) to ID the series 2 figures I got from the net. I couldn't tell one set from the either. my fingers aren't sensitive enough for that sort of stuff. Yea I know I can trade and sell extra's if I could find them at all, but that's NOT an option. I only buy on eBay, not sell. I don't use BrickLink or Craigslist. And I don't even think anyone around here collects them. There's a year round weekend fleamarket out of town, but we almost never go(maybe a few times a year tops) there and I doubt i'd get lucky in finding any. the goodwills never have lego and I never find lego at the local helping hands(kind of a goodwill type area)
  22. I saw that the collectable page on lego.wiki was updated. There's rumors of the series figures ending after series 5 :D I hope so. These things were a disaster from the start. There's to many meanies hogging large amounts of figures to sell of on eBay or brinklink or another site and are often price gougers, the figures are barely medicore and made of chinese plastic, it's really hard to locate them in stores unless you're lucky(no luck here. UGH), and lego took away the id system(NOT FAIR) Oh, and i'd like to note that i DON'T have an issue w/ collectors collecting more then one of a figure IF it's for their collection(either for parts, mix and match, or for a purpose like a baseball team) or a gift for someone else or even a FEW extra for eBay or even them selling their doubles from an order on BL or eBay, but i DO have a problem w/ people buying them by the box full. I'd be willing to bet that it was a major source of problem when my mother went to check there during the holidays. The toys r us had some but w/ a sale, the figs were outta there in no time.
  23. JACKPOT! Thanks. :D I'm pretty sure that I did run across that link ages ago but i forgot to save it. TO EBAY!
  24. This has been bugging me a while. Can someone ID what Fig Wiskey tango's head comes from. It's from the reasonablyclever.com site. Included is a link to Comic #885. The top right panel has 2 of the heads doyle uses for emotions: http://www.reasonablyclever.com/2010/02/19/episode-885/
