Aaaaaaaand the legs in the actual set look a little too long. I think I can make fair judgement as I have had the set for over a month.
-
Front, may I ask you a question? Did the designers plan to use the 1.0 helmets for Breakout since the beginning, or was it due to fan reception? Thanks.

Ninjago 2012

I don't think so; it mentions Lloyd separately (as both Lloyd ZX and "the green ninja"), plus LORD Garmadon is clearly holding the four golden weapons on the packaging of the Epic Dragon Battle. -

I'll be back soon. -
Ah, okay. So you won't be able to take some pics of the Ninjago sets? Damn.

Ninjago 2012

After scouring the web, I've found some descriptions for all four summer sets. Lasha's Bite Cycle: At the blacksmith shop, Cole is examining one of the long-lost fang blades, when suddenly Lasha, a Venomari tribe scout, zooms by on his ferocious Bite Cycle. Help Cole dodge the Bite Cycle's whipping tail and dead ly missile attack! Then stop Lasha from escaping with the fang blade! Includes 2 LEGO minifigures: Cole ZX and Lasha, Lasha's Bite Cycle, blacksmith forge, Venomari fang blade with green anti-venom capsule, golden weapon and 5 regular weapons. Link. Samurai Mech: Samurai X is on board the mighty Samurai Mech when she locates the Constrictai fang blade and closes in to claim it! Can scout Snike and warrior Bytar stop it with a catapult ambush? Or will the Samurai Mech's massive bl ade, shoulder cannon shooter and bladed grabbers overcome the Constrictai snakes? Includes 3 minifigures: Samurai X, Snike and Bytar, Samurai Mech, catapult, Constrictai fang blade with orange anti-venom capsule and weapon. Link. Ultra Sonic Raider: In the amazing Ultra Sonic Raider, the Spinjitzu masters spot supreme leader Pythor and his protector Spitta, soldier of the Venomari tribe, taking off with the Fangpyre fang blade. Chase them across everything wit h the all-terrain tracks or detach the flying vehicle, extend the golden blade wings and take the battle to the skies! If all else fails, crank up the huge speaker cannons and tame the snakes with some ancient snake music. Don't let them get away! I ncludes 6 minifigures: Cole ZX, Jay ZX, Kai ZX, Zane ZX, Pythor and Spitta. Set includes Ultra Sonic Raider, Fangpyre fang blade with red anti-venom capsule, 4 golden weapons and 5 regular weapons. Link. Epic Dragon Battle (if the Ultra Sonic Raider didn't exist, they could've called it "Ultra Dragon Battle", which sounds much less cheesy in my opinion. ): The epic battle of good versus evil has begun! The Great Devourer has been awakened and threatens to devour the world of Ninjago. Can the legendary green ninja, riding the awesome 4-headed Ultra Dragon, overpower t his evil adversary? Can Lord Garmadon harness the power of the 4 golden weapons of Spinjitzu to destroy the mighty snake and what about Sensei Wu? Can Jay defeat the evil snake Generals Acidicus, Skalidor and snake soldier Chokun to release his mast er from the impenetrable snake prison? Only you can decide the outcome of the final battle between good and evil! Includes 7 minifigures: Lloyd ZX, Jay ZX, Sensei Wu, Lord Garmadon, Acidicus, Skalidor and Chokun. Set features 4-headed Ultra Dragon, The Great Devourer, snake prison, Hypnobrai fang blade with blue anti-venom capsule, 4 golden weapons and 7 regular weapons. Link. And a link to the Fang-Suei spinner, because there's a new image. There's also listings with descriptions for most of the summer spinners here (scroll through pages 1-3, unfortunately, no Lloyd ZX), but most are uninteresting. Hopefully _shaddow_ will give us new pictures in due course too. -
Ha, I was right. Still, Speeda Demon is a little underwhelming as a set, but I'm loving the parts. By the way, Shaddow, where did you get the catalogue? Aren't you just a regular LEGO fan?
-
Speeda Demon could be a vehicle set anyway, which would mean Speeda Demon himself (the rider) would be smaller than Black Phantom. Just a possibility, we'll have to see.
-
You said in Ordeal of Fire. Which he didn't.
-
Well, you did think Fire Lord would escape after Hero Factory captured him...
-
Double post, sorry.

That's what you'd think, but for some reason LEGO have delayed the release of Breez and Thornraxx in the US, I live in Europe, so I was already able to snag them before Christmas. Mesonak sent an email to LEGO asking about the delay, and they said they'd add them to the US Shop@Home on January 1st, but it looks like they haven't. Well, I hope they have them anyway; good luck. I got excited because I thought those were links to real pictures.
-
Are Breez and Thornraxx available in the US yet? I know LEGO said they'd add them to Shop@Home yesterday, but they haven't as of yet. Anyway, Breez and Thornraxx are brilliant, Splitface is good, and Furno is alright.

It's pretty obvious that the prices will be: Nex - $7.99 (£6.99) XT4 - $7.99 (£6.99) Bulk - $12.99 (£9.99) Core Hunter - $12.99 (£9.99) Stormer XL - $24.99 (£14.99) Speeda Demon - $29.99 (Probably around £24.99) Stringer - $7.99 (£6.99) Voltix - $12.99 (£9.99)

You can have a Witch Doctor-sized vehicle. WAIT. PERHAPS IT'S A WITCH DOCTOR-SIZED VILLAIN WITH SKATES?!
-
Breakout is one story lasting the entire year, thus, they can only use each Hero once (excluding XL's). There are currently 9 Heroes, and all of them have one villain to combat each, so how many villains will there be? 9. 9 + 9? 18. The maximum number of sets they can have is 18, and since they already released 10 this winter, having a mere 8 sets was the only option they were faced with. Unless they created 1+ new Heroes, which (for some reason) they don't want to do right now, or put together a regular-sized Stormer too, like the regular and XL Rocka's in Savage Planet. In fairness, they've probably succumbed to some cut-backs too due to the Super Heroes Ultrabuild sets being designed.
-
Speeda Demon is pretty much confirmed now. Looks like he'll be Witch Doctor-sized, as he's 15 dollars more than Stormer XL on that site (they're all overpriced there).
-
Yes, it is.
-
There will be an episode, as a 1 hour special has been confirmed to have been commissioned by LEGO. The mini-movie will probably just be a cut-down version or a teaser of some sort. As far as the commercial goes (yes, it is a commercial), I like it, but I'll be deeply upset if Breez and Thornraxx (two of the best Breakout sets) aren't included in the episode at all.
-
Yes, like he did countless times in Savage Planet. Anyway, I have a feeling Breakout will just be a 1 hour special (or probably a 45 minute special without commercials), and 'Rampant Oceans' will be a regular 25 minute episode in 2013, which means the winter 2013 sets will probably be water-themed. Perhaps the Heroes return to Scylla?
-
Pretty good clips, nice to see Stringer.

Went to the UK Milton Keynes LEGO store today, they had all the new sets (yes, even the 3 exclusive sets). I didn't buy any of 'em, just thought I'd let you know. -

I threw the bags away. I used to put my canisters in the attic anyway. P.S. Merry Christmas everybody! (Since I won't be able to say it tomorrow.)
