It has multiple meanings, although it is probably referring to a scourge; I think a plague would be very interesting, though.

Oh my God! Okay, guys, I'll admit something to you now; I was the one who added "Daniel Rocka" to the Hero Factory Wikipedia page a few months ago, no lie, just to stir some rumours, but LEGO actually used the name! I'm willing to bet that LEGO used it because it was widespread in the Hero Factory online community, and I was the one to come up with it in the first place! I unknowingly coined a canon Hero Factory name! This is awesome!

So Black Phantom's pet is called Arachnix, Jawblade is from a planet named Scylla (makes sense, due to the ancient Greek beast), Toxic Reapa is from somewhere called Z'chaya and Thornraxx is from... Hive. Black Phantom's description mentions a plague which he "knows very well how to use"; maybe his revenge for being locked up is releasing a deadly disease to destroy everyone in Makuhero City? The recurring theme of a black hole seems too much of a coincidence not to be related to Von Nebula, but I still doubt the villains are combinations of his crooks. Surely the descriptions would have said something like "...a combination of *insert name here* and *insert name here* is wreaking havoc!..." if that were the case? Most of the "similarities" people are pointing out are flawed anyway. I don't think these new criminals ARE Von Nebula and his cronies, but are somehow related.

Looks cool, and at least we can see where the pins on the new Hero Cores are now.

The link must be broken for some reason. Anyway, doesn't matter.
-
I've got these.
-
I wouldn't say that, Witch Doctor still trumps him, but that's my opinion.
-
I don't think you can tell a LEGO parts designer whether they are correct or not in matters such as these.

'Overlorde' is Black Phantom; their set numbers are the same, and they never appear alongside each other. I really hope his name will be 'Black Phantom' in the final version, I much prefer it.

That makes sense, although I still doubt the upgrade was rolled out to anyone other than Rocka, Nex, Stormer, Bulk, Stringer and Furno. The animal powers would only be of any use on a select number of missions, plus, Zib did say in 'Savage Planet' "We've prepared some unique armour and weaponry to help". To me, 'unique' definitely gives off the impression that the upgrade was UNIQUE to and specialised for the Quatros mission. He also didn't seem to regard it of any more importance than the fitting of Furno's acid-resistant armour in 'Core Crisis'. Just my thoughts.
-
Like you said, I'm pretty sure they'll be 2.0. The 2.0 upgrade wasn't specific to the Ordeal of Fire mission, but 3.0 was specifically designed for Quatros' environment. Think about it, the 3.0 upgrade didn't necessarily make them more powerful, it just ALTERED their abilities to that of different animals. What would be the point of, for example, Evo looking like a Bee, Breez like a Snake and Surge like a Fish right in the middle of Makuhero City? It wouldn't exactly help them adapt or blend in to their surroundings. There's a reason why there wasn't a press conference or TV report for the 3.0 upgrade; it wasn't half as drastic, and only specific to one mission. I do expect them to keep their Breakout upgrades, though, they are not themed at all.

I'm not adamant about the return of gears, I don't miss them as such, I think Hero Factory is perfectly fine as it is, but I think that's going a little too far; gears CAN work with action figures.
-
It also resembles Phantoka through the equal teams, the fact that they've yet again made new packaging, and that we have a villain named Black PHANTOM. (Unless his name has been changed to 'Overlorde' that is )
-
So Black Phantom's name has been changed, or 'Overlorde' was an early-stage prototype title. I hope for the latter.
-
I doubt it. When we saw pictures of the Ordeal of Fire line for the first time the majority of people seemed to think that Bulk and Stringer had died somehow, when in reality they simply didn't attend the mission. I think it will be the same with this story. I don't believe that we will even get an explanation as to why they didn't tag along, again, just like Ordeal of Fire and Savage Planet. Stormer has been pivotal to the storyline in the past, so it's possible that he will supervise the mission from Hero Factory like in Core Crisis, or maybe he will retire completely; we'll just have to wait and see. As for Bulk, Stringer and Nex, I think a brief mention or a flashback sequence is all we'll get. Also, I think you mean *episode*; it's going to be another one hour special, it was revealed to have been commissioned a while ago, so unless it's referring to another September broadcast, this line will be having the same television treatment as Savage Planet.

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy
Omicron Squad Leader replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I would like to join the Reviewers Academy! I fulfil all 4 requirements, I have been reviewing LEGO on other sites since early 2009, and have already reviewed the LEGO Hero Factory set 2236 Scorpio here on Eurobricks. I hope I am accepted. -
Unfortunately; I despise his character, and his sets are mediocre at best, with the exception of Breakout Furno.
-
What Heroes does everyone think will be in the summer 2012 line? (That is, if there is one, I believe there will be) I think it may be Stormer, Bulk, Stringer, Evo and Nex. Then we will have had Stormer 4 times, Bulk 3 times, Stringer 3 times, Furno 4 times, Surge 3 times, Breez 3 times, Evo 3 times, Nex 3 times, and Rocka 3 times (Including XL), excluding the Furno Bike Furno and the Bulk & Vapour Bulk. Unless they introduce a new Hero, bring back Furno yet again, or overhaul the whole line-up, I think this seems like the most likely selection.

There are three types of people in this world; those who can count, and those who can't.
-
That would be fine with me. I'd love it if we got 5 fresh new Heroes in summer 2012 (I'm saying 5 because I highly doubt they'll switch back to 6 any time soon; it is a better sales technique). They've followed the exploits of the Alpha Team for 2 years now, how about we see what Omega Team is doing? Even this seems more likely than Hero Factory ending.
-
You have to remember that Spielwaren-lippe has been the provider of a great amount of accurate information in the past, though.
-
The Hero Factory 2012 set names have been removed from spielwaren-lippe.de. I think this only proves that they are real; LEGO obviously requested their removal, just like they do with leaks on Flickr.
-
I don't see why they don't just add a first name to his biography page on the website. It's so incredibly easy to name a Hero, it is certainly not an intricate process that requires hours of hard thinking, I can think of a number of suggestions in a heartbeat; Jacob Rocka, Ethan Rocka, Michael Rocka, Jayden Rocka, Alexander Rocka, Noah Rocka, Daniel Rocka. Just to name a few.

I'm liking these quiet a lot, with the exception of "Thornraxx", which sounds fairly atrocious to me. I do hope there is a sixth Hero; it would be a decent twist if it turned out to be Toxic Reapa before he became a villain. Instead of an extra large Hero we'd get a "corrupted" one, that would be pretty nice. I think people are fixating on Toxic Reapa a little too much, though; it seems to me that Black Phantom will be a great deal more pivotal to the storyline. However, I could be wrong, we'll all just have to wait and see.

Surge sounded like he had a different voice actor in the trailer for Ordeal of Fire, yet in the episode he had the same one. If Stephen Stanton can voice Nitroblast in Ordeal of Fire, I'm sure he can reprise his old role of Stringer in Savage Planet.
