  1. I am really digging Poes new colour scheme
  2. Holy crap that is impressive for an alternative build! Did you use any spare pieces at all?
  3. God damn that looks good. Now build a bigger one
  4. God damn TIE Dagger looks like shit and the X wing looks outstanding. The pieces for the engines are perfect and the colour scheme is awesome. Good to see R2D2 is finally back in action after being in the corner with a blanket over him for 2 films
  5. Damn thats good
  6. This is definitely close to what I think lego should have always done with Mos Eisley. All their versions look terrible but this looks really good. Mos Eisley is a perfect setting for a big UCS set like the Ewok Village, which was excellent. Cloud City also stunk big time
  7. Damn this looks good. The main reason I refrain from doing this on builds like this is that you get either ugly stepping on the wedgeplate parts, or you use wedge plates and then you have studs any way. You did a good job tho
  8. My dudes we NEED to get (spoilers for Mandalorian) as a fig or whatever
  9. That guy is a champion for uploading a video on how to build it instead of making us buy instructions like some people
  10. Your falcon interior builds are great
  11. So will all future clone wars sets have normal faces or will they bring back the bug eyes
  12. Holy moly this is great! I love how smooth yet greebly the hull is, something thats tough to nail with the Falcon. Good cockpit too. I assume no interior?
  13. Wouldve been better if those characters were just not in the movie. Plus I just want to bring up that scene where 'Baze' calls Jyn Erso his 'little sister'.... like what? Have those characters spoken a word to eachother?
  14. I was aware of that, I was just wondering if the theme ever automatically changes. It has in the past anyway
  15. Is the front page banner going to change from the easter themed one any time soon?
  16. I knew someone was going to say this. Saying "its a war movie" is no excuse for the characters being so one note. Have you seen an actual war movie? The good ones have actual characters we care about, instead of people who just shoot at things until they die. Plus, the film still tries to have emotional character moments so it clearly is trying to have real characters. It just fails horribly.
  17. Ah, so you loved Rogue One. That makes everything youre saying make a lot more sense. I bet you loved all those really cool action scenes with Darth Vader and big explosions. And what about all those great characters who have no character? Like Donnie Yen's friend? Or 'Cassion Andor'? Or 'Bohdi Rook'? Such wonderful characters! Oh wait, they die at the end! That must mean it's actually a really deep and emotional film.
  18. They both have a very high Rotten Tomatoes percentage bit thats just the percentage of critics who gave a positive review. Its not like all the critics gave it a 9 out of 10. They were well received, but not as masterpieces or anything.
  19. FACT: Episode 9 hasnt come out yet so 1 of those FACTS is wrong. The new movies are far better than the prequels (excluding rogue one). All the core components of movies are done horribly in prequels including dialogue, story, directing, visuals. The music is good, but that can only take a movie so far. The writing in EP 7 and 8 is miles better, and if you think it isn't, I dont know what to tell you.
  20. Yeah I think the cone build is more accurate and looks better, but youve done an admirable job. Maybe something like a smaller version of the UCS cockpit may be possible?
  21. Episode 9 is definitely shaping up to have some of the most stunning visuals in the series thus far, this shot was also one of my favourites! That window is great, but if I were to nitpick at all I think it would be better if Ren didnt have his saber like in the trailer, since there may be more to the scene than initially thought...
  22. Now this is just silly. Both JJ and Rian, especially Rian are great directors. Rian has shown to be incredibly competent when given a great script, (he directed one of the best episodes of TV ever, Ozymandias) or when he writes his own script not based around a pre existing entity (Looper, Lights Out). JJ isn't as good as Rian but still directed very well in The Force Awakens as well as the Star Trek reboot. The problem is the script, which I suppose is Rian's fault in TLJ's case, and definitely JJ's with episode 7. JJ fancies himself a writer when he is not very good at it. He's a much better director.
  23. I started building the 75257 set in stud.io in the Solo movie colours, because the actual Solo set is horribly gappy and badly proportioned. The new set is sooo much better, so I will bricklink the pieces to make it when Im done. Might cost less than the actual set too. I will try to fix the ugly gaps near the cockpit. 24. Great review Rufus, I'm partial to the A Wing that came with the TIE Advanced from 2016. Being able to bull back the whole middle section to shoot out the spring loaded shooters was awesome, if a little unnecesary.
  25. Mmmm delicious controversy. I personally could never buy Lepin cos it just aint the real deal.
