The X-Wing and the sheer amounts of stock left is a great example ... in my two local TRUs there are shelves and shelves of these and there have been for months. And yet the sets which we actually want are nowhere to be seen. Please learn the lesson Lego!!

I saw this item on ebay and thought of this thread :-) Link
-
i know that, but I wanted to understand why she didn't want to use them! ;)
-
why not bricklink or ebay ? Surely that'd be the most economic way of getting a lot of those hoods ?
-
ditto this question I shall wait for a sale for this set as I've never watched any of the Clone Wars stuff, so it's not that important to me as a set :-)
-
if you have other heads and other lightsaber blades, yes :)
-
here's a question i think you guys can help me with
Big Pete replied to yovnocrats's topic in General LEGO Discussion
:-D LOL yeah, cos we all have that ability ... -
there's another new pic in the auction for the new Anakin ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lego-STAR-WARS-Anaki...1QQcmdZViewItem Can't see the rest of the set in the sellers completed listings ... unless it's the ones that are just called "Lego 05" or "Lego 06" ? They went for a lot of money considering the lack of content in the listing!

my first set was the original X-Wing ... closely followed by the Landspeeder and then the Y-Wing / Tie Advanced to give the X-Wing something to fight against ;)
-
i wish they did Brickmaster in other countries other than the USA, I would subscribe!
-
There's a Jedi in the NASA part of Miniland too ... don't have a pic, but I'm sure I've seen one somewhere. I like the fact that there's an Abba Gig going on in the Swedish bit and that the Simpsons are watching the changing of the guard in London X-D

1. buy sets from America and hope 2. buy one on ebay or bricklink they are your only options ...

note ... the person over at FBTB has not provided evidence ...
-
Speaknspell (Lego Spokesman) over at the FBTB forums said he'd heard a "pretty resolute negative" to their being Golden C3P0s in the UCS MF. :-/

torso and legs are glued on most, if not all, of the magnets I have ... doesn't detract from the figure though, unless you want to take it apart! ;)
-
there was a comp at Celebration Europe to win one, but there was no mention of whether it was a low numbered one or not.
-
sorry, not sure I understand the question !?

as far as we know, no there isn't. the interior is limited to the cockpit and the laser cannons part. The rest is completely taken up with structural beams etc that bare no resemblence to the real interior of the ship ... they are there purely to make it sturdy enough to hold and "swoosh" or even hang it from a ceiling (!!).

Just bought this set and whilst it's pretty damn cool, I can't help but feel that
-
I built this set tonight and I REALLY like it ... pretty good value for money considering all of the elements and the minifigs :D The crane thing is a bit random and that gap on the snow speeder is a little annoying (nice mod above mind you, although I just leave bought sets as they are usually). I do very much dislike the stickers, but hey, that's how Lego is going these days so, so be it ... The set looks pretty awesome on the shelf underneath the original b-wing and my AT-AT crushing the original snowspeeder scene mind you :)

some collectors buy sets in the box ... hence the MISB phrase ... doesn't appeal to me, as they're damn expensive boxes! But hey, each to their own ... :)
-
not too bad ... might have to pick that up soon then, I will be in TRU in Southampton over the weekend ;) I think I'll buy the bigger sets here and get the smaller ones in the USA later in the year. The smaller the boxes, the more chance I will have getting them in my suitcase ;) I have to say, I am very glad we are now not getting a 1:1 ratio between the numbers used prices in USA vs UK (e.g. it is not longer

great looking set ... how much was it ?
-
I caved when I went to TRU today and bought it! I went to check it out to see if they : a) had them b) how big the box was c) how heavy it was As they had them, I realised it's a pretty big box and fairly weighty so despite it being
