Nice to see that there is at least someone with common sense :-)
-
I vote for no more BrickHeadz (ever) !
-
Based on the various existing MOCs, I am pretty sure Lego could make a decent Minas Tirith for about 500 bucks. But I would be ready to pay 1000 to get a perfect one :-)
-
Could not agree more, Lego is not very good with priorities... I really hope we finally get Minas Tirith next year.
-
I maybe overly cautious, but personally I will not take the risk of damaging my precious Sauron minifig just because the color of its hands is not perfect... Once you take off the hands of a minifig they often become loose forever and tend to turn or even fall when holding things (especially a large mace like Sauron's).
-
Very unlikely that they do again Bag End based on the Hobbit. It will most likely be based on LOTR.
-
Fully agree, and the same for Faramir, Denethor, the Witch King, etc... but let us be patient, I am confident Minas Tirith will come in 2026 ;-)
-
I hope that this piece count of 2017 pieces is wrong and that we will get a set large enough to properly represent the Shire (not just Bag End like 79003).
-
Same, I am quite worried on this one...
-
Congrats! I honestly do not see how a true LOTR fan can choose not to buy Rivendell if he/she has the money for it. It is not just the best existing LOTR set, it is also one of the most beautiful sets that Lego has ever made overall.
-
Exactly... people can dream, but it is very unlikely that the new Bag End set includes any dwarves.
-
Well I do, and I am not the only one :-)
-
That's a wrong statement. We miss many of the LOTR characters. I don't mind getting re-editions of some of the existing ones (which I understand can be particularly appealing for those who did not get the original sets), but to me the priority should be getting the missing characters.
-
We already have all the dwarves from the Hobbit sets, so I would definitely prefer to get as many Shire hobbits as possible (except for the usual Frodo, Bilbo, Sam, Merry and Pippin of course)
-
Yep. Maybe a selection amongst these secondary hobbit characters from the Fellowship of the Ring movie: Fredegar Bolger, Mrs. Bracegirdle, Rosie Cotton, Hamfast Gamgee, Farmer Maggot, Old Noakes, Mrs. Proudfoot, Odo Proudfoot, Otho Sackville-Baggins, Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, Ted Sandyman…
-
I am disappointed too as I already own the previous Bag End. But hopefully at this price range it will be bigger and include more of the Shire. In any case I will buy it, as I have bought every single LOTR set so far (except the ugly BrickHeadz of course, which do not count)
-
Smaug is huge too in the Hobbit movie, but it did not prevent Lego to make a moulded version (which I happily own).
-
Fully concur, Minas Tirith is the most likely set coming next year, and I can't wait (whatever the price) !
-
I am definitely not selling mine, it will have a nice place in my LOTR display :-)
-
Not that I know of. But Minas Tirith is a very likely contender for next year's big set, given the very high demand for this set and the fact we have not had a previous set on the Gondor theme. Hobbiton is possible too of course, but my guess is that it will be for a later year.
-
Both the Hobbit films and ROP are unfortunately really bad and I don't plan on ever watching them again. But I will continue loving and watching the LOTR movies (and buying LOTR sets of course) for as long as I breathe :-)
-
Looks nice but I don't think it makes sense to put Orthanc so close to Barad-Dur
-
Yes agreed, no point in having a second standalone Bag End. I would be happy to see a Hobbiton set at some point, but after Minas Tirith and Edoras which are for me the next two priorities ;-)
-
I think it will only drive them to come up with another great GWP to go with the Minas Tirith set coming up next year (I am calling it) !
-
This makes sense, this time there is the Fellbeast GWP. For Rivendell there was only a crappy BrickHeadz.
