  1. I believe you are mistaken, Bregir, but do correct me if I'm wrong. She will be a rather medium sized vessel. The Imperial Flagship I was referring to is the 6271 Classic Pirates model, not the newer and much larger 2010 one. Hence her hull length is around 40 studs long, not counting her bowsprit.
  2. Thanks Bregir. Actually she will function as more of a utilitarian ship, she would normally serve as a warship, but can be easily be re-fitted into a trading ship or smuggling ship. She is around the size of the 6271 Impreial Flagship, using the same hull pieces.
  3. The MOC is absolutely marvelous and brilliantly detailed, and it gives a grand feeling just looking at it. Hope to see even more great builds from you in the future!
  4. I'm thinking of registering one of my ships with Corrington, though unfinished, it is planned to be a fast, maneuverable, bomb ketch with maximized firepower. Practically a ship Corrington would want in their fleet, right? And how much would it cost to do that?
  5. A lovely, detailed and creative build. Love how you used a bucket handle as a moustache!
  6. This ship is probably one of the best and certainly the biggest build I have ever seen on the Pirates forum. Keep going and all the best!
  7. He did it with loose transparent light blue and white 1x1 studs, A common technique used by waterline ship MOCers.
  8. Hello, Please pardon my terrible photography, I'm quite new here Admiral Admirable supports Corrington! Admiral Jones "Admirable", is an experienced, weathered man of action with sailing, navigating, and close-combat skills. He is extremely focused of keeping everything under his command in order and does not hesitate to punish if requirements are not met. However, he has a heart for his men and does not risk placing them in danger, and he would even die for them, which is why they call him "Admirable". He is joined by his first lieutenant and best friend Lt. Jenkins, And commander in training, Comd. Radcliff 5 officers, 2 pikemen, and 20 Royal army men. And lastly, Admiral Jones is very fond of his arsenal, ...He does have quite a lot of guns. He and his men are loyal servants to the country and crown, and will not hesitate to die for them. Long Live Queen Annetta! Long Live The Redcoats! LONG LIVE CORRINGTON!!
  9. Actually, if you remove or reduce the size of the prison, there might at least be some space to fit some hammocks.
  10. I'm joining Corrington! I do need a little time to put my figs together but this is to show I'm signing up.
  11. Lovely job with this brickfilm! Keep up the good work!
  12. Ebay and bricklink are good places to start, but if you are on a budget I would suggest buying the individual parts that make up the set and build then together. In my experience it is a little cheaper.
  13. Great animations! Hope to see more in the future!
  14. Wow. Lovely commercial. Lego really did a good job animating this!
  15. Great review! I really do love this little set.
  16. Most ships we're classed differently based on their rigging and sail plan. I do have a book listing many of these sail plans but as for now I can only remember a handful of general ones. Sloop: A small, fast, one-masted ship that was normally rigged with fore and aft sails. Cutter: Basically a sloop, but with two or more head-sails. Sloops and cutters we're preferred by pirates as they were fast, maneuverable and had a shallow draught (length of hull below the sea) and could sail into shallow waters or even up rivers where larger warships could not follow Schooner: A rather fast, two-masted ship with the foremast (mast in front) shorter than the mainmast (mast behind on a two-masted ship). They were normally gaff rigged. They could evenhave up to seven masts. Ketch: Similar in rigging to a schooner, the ketch has its mast in front(now called the mainmast as it is the tallest mast) taller than the mast behind(now called the mizzenmast) . Some ketches were designed as 'Bomb vessels' and carried an armament of large mortars fixed near the bow and a few guns for self defense. Yawl: The same as a ketch, except that the mizzen mast is located behind the ships wheel. Brig: A two-masted, square-rigged ship with the mainmast taller than the foremast. They can virtually be seen as a fully rigged ship with two masts. However, Brigs were rather fast and maneuverable and heavy enough to be fitted at warships, yet small enough vessels that they were able to hide up rivers. Brigs also required a large crew to be sailed. Brigantine: Similar in design to a brig, but has a different rigging where the mainmast contains a gaff rigged sail. Barque: A three masted vessel where the 2 front masts (foremast and mainmast) are fitted with square rigged sails and the mast behind (mizzen mast) is fitted with fore and aft sails Barquentine: A vessel with three or more masts with a square rigged foremast and all the other masts fore and aft rigged. Fully rigged ship: A term referring To a large three-masted ship, with all masts rigged with square rigged sails. Tends to be a frigate or ship of th line. Clipper: An extremely fast, three-masted, square-rigged sailing vessel. They were most commonly used as trading ships. I do hope this helps. If you would like pictures from the book I have I would be happy to share!
  17. I really like this idea! It's great to see Technic mechanisms implemented into a ship MOC!
  18. Of course Great Britain shall rule! Great looking MOC too.
