LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Gregorovich replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I picked up my first two series 3 figs (hula dancer and tennis player) today. I got them in Argos, because in my store they stick a label on the back saying which figure's inside. They only had one box, whereas WHSmith had six (yes, six!) full boxes of them, at £1.99 each. Although I've got my two favourite figures from this series, I'll probably get some more. -
I would love that! It would be great fun, with lots of nice builds. But I doubt LEGO would do it the way I'd like them to- they'd probably use those horrible micro-figures, and the room would be small or flat. What about a Kung-Fu panda theme? I mean, there's the new film coming out this year, and my younger brothers loved the first one. Personally, I wouldn't like it (because they would have to have big, moulded heads to look like the characters, and I don't really like figs like that) but kids might like it. I would like a James bond theme, but I doubt they'll make one because its not really for children. I'd also like a LotR theme, and I do think that's possible if they make a new film. I'd also like a Narnia theme, which is possible.

That there's a work of art! The brickwork on the walls is stunning, and the doors are a nice touch. Everything else is beautiful too. Thanks for sharing, but I'd appreciate it if you gave us more pictures!

This is a beautifully built castle, Sirens of Titan. All the different techniques you've used in the walls and roof are stunning. My favourite part is the partially-destroyed roof. Thanks for sharing!

MOC: Adventurers treehouse observatory
Gregorovich replied to Decale's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I love this! It looks fantastic. My favourite bit is the balcony, but I also love everything else about it. Thanks for sharing it with us, I just love seeing other people's adventurer MOC's! -
I would love these to come out, as we could get Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff uniforms, plus lots more characters, but I don't think they will. But I hope I'm wrong! Also, Geertos13, you said film companies don't allow LEGO to sell separate minifigs, but you get Star Wars battle packs, don't you?

This is a very nice, simple MOC. I really like the door and windows. It's amazing how you've used so little parts, yet made it look so great!
-
Wow, I'm impressed! I love how each carriage is unique according to it's class. I wish I could build like that!
-
Okay. I'm quite disappointed though, as I wish I could get one myself.

This is a beautiful piece of work, Silentmode. I love the interior and all the furniture most of all. Well done! Also, where'd you get the head for the female figure?
-
That's one amazing MOC! The wall detailing is spectacular, and I can't wait to see the interior when it's done.

MOC : JR Tokaido Main Line- 211 series
Gregorovich replied to andybear@hk's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great train! It's got lots of nice details, and it looks just like the real thing. But I'd like to see more pictures of it's surroundings. -
When I build buildings, I like them to have an open back, so I can easily access the interior, which I think IMO is the best part. Although the interior's my favourite bit, I still think just facade buildings look good too.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Gregorovich replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanks a million for these pictures! I'm most looking forward to the set with the mermaids, Isla de la Muerta, QAR and the Cannibal escape. I can't wait to see some finalised pictures! -
As much as I would love for LEGO to make more Indiana Jones sets, I don think they will (unless they completely re-do the theme in a few years like HP, but I doubt that'll happen soon). But I hope I'm wrong! Also, isn't there already a few topics like this?
-
Okay, thanks! I'll try and enter. Now to think up a character...
-
Wow! This is great! The buildings are great, and all the minifigs in their poses are nice too. Thanks for sharing, and I hope to see more pictures soon!

I really like all the wall detailing, and the little statue behind the emperor. The only thing I think could improve it would be to put some more furniture in it, I just think it looks a little empty. But other than that, it's a great MOC! Well done!

Sounds like a great contest, Hinckley! I'd love to enter, but I have two problems: 1. I only have a phone/ iPod touch camera. 2. I don't have a studio. Can I still enter?

Well done to all the winners, you thoroughly deserve your prizes. Also, well done to everyone who entered. There wasn't one entry I didn't love! Well done everyone! -
Do only bigshots make the front page?
Gregorovich replied to Gregorovich's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'm sorry. I didn't really think before I posted this topic, and after reading all your replies, I feel very foolish about it. There are many great MOC's I've seen that didn't make the frontpage, but I just suppose you haven't seen them because you're busy running the site. Also, to answer TheBricksters question, I have been visiting EB for quite a long time, but only recently joined. And Hinckley, all the answers are very sufficient, as they have all taught me a lesson. And I'm sorry for calling people "bigshots", I didn't realise it was such on offensive term. -
Do only bigshots make the front page?
Gregorovich replied to Gregorovich's topic in Forum Information and Help
@Ralph_S- Yes, you do have a very good point, there. I suppose I was quite wrong about most of this. Sorry! Also, about the bigshot thing. I just mean Moderators, Dukes etc., most of which have been here a long time, and most people know about them. @Mrlegoninja- You too have a good point. I read that review, and I thought it was very good. Just as good, in fact, as all the other PQ reviews, yet it wasn't front-paged. So I think you are also right, they do sometimes seem to choose the reviews by bigger members. -
Fair enough, LEGO's expensive, and fair enough, it can sometimes make a mess. But that's no reason for you to glue the poor child's LEGO together. I mean, she says she doesn't want a $60 set to go to waste, so why does she glue it? That is putting it to waste! What's the world coming to...glueing LEGO together

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but how about a "Chronicles of Narnia" theme? There's so many possibilities for sets, and we'd get great new pieces(lion, centaur, wolf,). EDIT: Commanderneyo posted while I was still typing!
