Another quality piece from you sir! you never cease to amaze with your amount of fine detail.
-
by my calculations, today is the 26th and still no winners?
-
its not that people don't care about it its just we've most likely just chalked it up for manufacturing error. Such as the machine just went weird for a day. And most of us like good Lego fans, ripped through it as fast as we could to get to the goodies inside and never gave it a second thought.

I don't get the big deal with double seals? The two star wars sets you listed I would almost expect to have to given the size of the box and how many pieces are in it.
-
wow I love the detail in all of this, but this guy must be RICH! that thing is huge!!!

not at all, I would be honored for you to use my design. Thank you for the kind words!

Pickup Truck One day Alistair went to the Brick Yard to pick up some supplies for his home repair. Hey LEGO notice that this truck has DOORS!? This model has a TAILGATE! Heading home.. Made it home and getting ready to unload it to repair his Apple Tree House from the last storm they had! I've been trying to figure out a way of using the Sports Car set and make it a truck, and I ended up with this. I'm very proud of it and I love the way it turned out. The tail gate was the hardest part! Also this is my 100th Post! woot, does this make me a real person now? Comments and Suggestions always welcome hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Well the only time I use LDD is when I'm testing an idea and too lazy to get bricks out or when I don't have the bricks available. when actually making a MOC I just shoot from the hip and design, redesign and then design some more and change and change and change until I'm happy with it.

The Four Kings

I like it! The literal interpretation is great!
-
Is LDD accepted or only bricks?
-
now that's a Mario I would buy! I've seen so many that just look hideous but yours looks amazing! good work!

I'm just going to put this out there, with all the interest in modular design and details from smaller pieces and what not I don't see it unreasonable to have the Hillside that the older sets have but just build it with great detail. With that said, Baseplate gets my vote. All the castles that I love have either a molded baseplate or a standard baseplate and I wouldn't have it any other way.

or getting the books off of Brickfactory.com when they release last years, or a buddy with a scanner, and get the part list and order the parts you need then build it. I know that wont cost 300+US dollars, even if you go through pick a brick. I know because I was pricing the Grand Emporium through pick a brick and ordering what was in it 3 times and came out to around the same cost as what they are wanting for the retired Modular Buildings.

Once upon time...... a young man told the girl that he loved, "When we go to Disney World this year your going to find out how much I really love you." And During the firework show "Wishes" in front of Cinderellas Castle, he turns to her and asks her if she remembers what he had said about how much he loves her...... He slides a ring onto her finger, and asks "Elizabeth, Will You Marry Me?" Based on A True Story.....Mine. :D This took place on July 21, 2008 in the Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderellas Castle during the firework show "Wishes" that happened every night that year. Needless to say she said yes. :D This is my official Be My Brickentine Entry. I wish I could have changed the background to include Cinderellas Castle,(or build it out of lego!) but my photoshop skills are not that advanced. I hope you enjoy it.

as far as wal-mart goes I can tell you first hand that there will not be any clearance similarities on sets AT ALL. if there is it is purely coincidental. all Wal-Marts are competing with each other, and the prices they set are reflected on that fact. Also what one set sells for and how frequently at one store will not be the same at another store in the next town/city. Case in point, I picked up two Sports Car sets at One Wal-Mart because they didn't sell at all, but the one in the next town over couldn't keep them in stock because they sold out so fast.

hey that's great! I don't normally like smaller houses but this is great! I like it, it's so much more complete than all the other smaller houses. If they would put more elements like what you have (tv, storage area, kitchenette, ext) in the Smaller LEGO houses I would be more inclined to buy the small house sets! great job!

any word on that template?? I'm anxious to see it.

man I miss mini Sprint racing....the smell of that alcohol burning, the mud, the sound of about 100 cars in the pit all warming up. Let me be the first to commend you on an EXCELLENT job! you really captured it! I love the truck and the fact you can fit a minifig in the car!!

I have to agree here on a few things. 1.) Full Interiors. I have to say that I was extremely happy with the Grand Emporium as far as the amount of detail goes on the out side appearance and the chandelier was a nice touch. But I was disappointing at the LACK OF INTERIOR. Three floors and two of them have just a couple of Nick Knacks in them. and with all the SNOT pieces out side I would have expected more inside to give it a well store room floor look. 2.) Police Station I really feel that since you have the Fire Brigade it would only be natural to have a Police Station. I also purchased this and LOVE the detail in this one as apposed to the Grand Emporium. (See point 1) The Current Police Station although nice it just doesn't fit in with the modular buildings that I have because of how open it is. This is why I'm working on a Modular Police Station to Make it work better but a Official Police Station would be a lot better and I could use the pieces on other projects I have in mind. 3.) HOSPITAL It has been years since I've seen a decent hospital. Point of fact the last one that I actually like came out in the early 90's I believe. Lego has always been a little lax when it comes to this very important and essential building. Since we are talking about AFOL's here I think most would agree that if you have a Police Station and a Fire Brigade a hospital would be a very fitting and nice Edition to any Modular City. 4.)Post office I really feel that the Post Office is a building that I don't think has been given the credit it really deserves. I mean after all with out it how are our MiniFigs going to get there bills? not all of them have cell phones and internet access But seriously this would be a great edition to my town and I've already seen a few MOCs that look fantastic and fit right in with all the other building. 5.) Bank Lego has been doing little banks and bank like buildings for a long time it would be nice to see them give a bank a Victorian or Gothic makeover to see it updated from a set basically focusing around the vehicle to the building. also this would be a great time to produce more MONEY, green cash bricks and gold coins, who knows even introduce a NEW money brick exclusive to just this set, sounds like a winner to me. 6.) Casino Now I know this will most likely NEVER go through but a Casino would be interesting and I think would be very interesting to see given the fact that the building can be very plain with some great facades, and then focus most of the detail on the inside of the casino. Such as but not limited to; Poker tables, Craps, Slots, Roulette. This also would be a great opportunity to introduce some new Casino worker minifigs or bring back an old one. 7.) Printed- NOT STICKERED I have never, EVER, been one to use stickers because they eventually all fall off, get nasty and render useless. Plus I have ADHD and sometimes when I'm not concentrating on it my hands get shaky and then the sticker ends up all crooked and then it bugs me to DEATH! Printed design will always come out as the better and more desirable piece. 8.) Theater I'm not sure if Lego has really put a lot of effort into one except for there 50 year anniversary set which was a great hit as far as I can tell. Taking that same basic concept and making it into a Full fledged Theater, Classic Theater or Modern would be fantastic! they all ready have the pieces and most of the design work done why not capitalize on it a little bit more? 9.) Town Hall This is another one that they've not put a lot of effort into until the 50 year set. I think it would be very fitting because they can use all the classic Roman column pieces and make something that would be a great seller. Like I said in point 8 there they have the pieces already developed and most of the design is done, so why not a Great Town Hall... HEY! That's what they could call it!!!
-
wow there is a lot of detail in this. you set up the scene marvelously I must say! hats off to you sir.
-
ohh wow! that's fantastic! and don't worry your English is just fine. Even if you say you don't have a lot of bricks to work with you make what you have work with so much detail its astonishing! A+ job my friend!
-
wow that's really neat! I don't pay attention to Harry Potter Lego sets as much as I do Knights and City but I will have to admit this last Hogwarts castle caught my eye and was thinking this very thing. I can't wait to see what other people have done with all the Hogwarts building so far as far as making a big scene out of them.

wow then it sounds like you were dealing with a far more Mature individual then what I've had to deal with stealing my designs. glad it worked out for you. Now I'm going to go play some borderlands....

my purchases are speratic and change frequently. one month I saved up and purchased both the Grand Emporium and the Fire Brigade, then I didn't buy anything for a month and a half. not because I didn't have any money, I just didn't want anything really because now I'm spoiled on Modular Building. Then about 3 weeks ago I was at the local Wal-Mart getting a few things and I stopped and looked at the Lego Isle and low and behold they had the Sports Car 8402 and MiniFig Collection 8401 on sale for 5 bucks a piece so I grabbed two 8402 and one 8401 so that was only 15 bucks and now I'm back to not spending anything on them. Its really what I can think of that I need or what is on sale when I'm in a store. I'm thinking I'm about to make a Pick a Brick purchase or a Brick link purchase on some bulk brick and snot for some Mocs I'm working on. So like I said it changes a lot, its whatever I find really.
