Hi Deen, welcome to EB & the Town forum. Your vintage town is nice, the trees are great. And your MOC Shell station is great it matches very well. are you going to keep it all vintage building style?

why not an extension cord to the wall outlet?

Hello thank you for your interest, unfortunately I don't have any Pirate sets for trade
-
This is brilliant! Yes I wish they would as well.
-
looks good and wow those sets are taking a long time
-
Oh I see that is what I was planning to do, no metal track just 9v motor w/PF great news

Why do you collect the Collectible Minifigures?
Piranha replied to thegurumb's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like to collect mostly ones that add diversity as civilians (Painter/Surfer etc). I also like to collect ones that I just simply "like" such as the Viking, Musketeer and Spartan. also they are one of the cheapest nicest LEGO item you can get. They are a great source for figs for a City. -

Who wants flexible track though? Now I think it has its merits and uses but that is why there is a separate whole package of 64. Now yes true straight is in a higher demand than a curve but would you rather have flexible track or some extra curves? I for myself prefer the extra curves for switch points. You wouldn't happen to have an image or example of the 4 point double crossover? (however I still suggest for the "+" track)

i see, I might just grind down the axle to fit the old side carriage.

I would have to disagree, what is the point of a windmill? Well try here. The barn isn't empty, there is hay inside, also very spacious so you can um I don't know put the animals in there maybe??? I don't know you were expecting to be in a medieval barn. The figs have front and back printing and are superior to MMV figs. ( I actually own both sets) This is a farm set not supposed to look like a tavern or inn which obviously would be more detailed. It is supposed to have that country "feel". Also MMV is aimed toward adults this is aimed toward kids you can't compare them in any reality, that would be like comparing a Modular building to a simple City set. Finally at long last what us fans have been crying for is more civilian sets and when we get one we should be happy. MMV like I said it a totally different ballpark. The fences that you are referring to would have driven the price up, just BL them. well they could always do a peasant home later and yes they should have given the set a different name like Peasant Farm or something. There is no bandwagon here, just everyone opinions and the majority like the set. Yes very well said

That is a neat fact I just learned, thanks! Also great work by TLG! I just built my BNSF yesterday and it is much bigger than I was expecting. I know I will be pairing them, not all the time though, the colors may not match but what real life cargo train does? As for the question of the topic, I will have three Cargo Trains when I buy the Maersk, the 7939 European engine, the American Diesel BNSF and Maersk Train. Unfortunately all three can't be on my small bit of track right now. But when I get some more track, the Maersk and BNSF will each have to be hauling separate loads to their destinations. And maybe for a large load they will be paired. I also need to make some more cargo containers & cars, based off ones featured in past Cargo Trains and sets.

Thanks, they look great!

so far you are 504 up on me
-
what if you are running on plastic track? Does the inside still need to be modded?
-
the solution continues to be ongoing. I am leaning toward the battery in a container box aswell.
-
I am confused aswell, you run your SF SC with a 9v motor and PF with no internal mods, what is the problem with that?
-
I added some more stuff and also the sets are for sale as well. not only for trade.
-
going to the LEGO Store soon, only enough cash for one Maersk Train or Emerald Night
-
Some good ideas and I would really love to see them. A signal/sign/light/tree pack would be great !
-
I have decided to go with rechargeable AAA batteries.
-
Yes that is a very long back order, must mean Trains are selling well
-
damn noobs always spamming up the boards

I would like to see a RC/PF/Plastic version of this, the Track Crossing. Reason is since they discounted the double switchover so now we can't make a figure 8 or similar and is a very useful piece of track. Also the 9V version is very expensive now, is different in color and the rails don't match (metal). Perhaps it could be sold in a pack with curve or straight or by itself. Also I think flexi track is over used, I want an 8 straight, 8 curved pack and keep flexi track as a separate product.

That is great and also true, I hold off on discontinued sets until I find a good deal.
