We better get a TIE and an X-Wing next year, whether they're from Rogue One or A New Hope it doesn't matter. They've improved on the X-Wing design so much with Poe's ship that it would make sense LEGO would want to implement it on the OT version. One thing I hope is that Rogue One expands on the Rebellion's ground vehicles. The only idea of what a Rebel tank or something would be is from the old Battlefront games, which aren't canon. Rogue One has a unique chance of giving us a wider sense of what the Rebellion was truly militarily capable of, and hopefully that could translate into a nice collection of Rebel military vehicles. We've gotten so many Imperial tanks, walkers, ships and so forth for years, but we rarely get good Rebel sets (personally I think they're the least represented faction LEGO gives us), so its time we see some more from the good side of the Galactic Civil War.

I'd love a Tusken Camp set with Anakin and Shmi and two regular Tuskens. Give us a tent, a bantha and the Lar's family swoop bike and you've got a nice set.

I have a very strong feeling that we'll see Rex, Gergor, and Wolffe's modified fishing AT-TE as one of the main large sets we'll se in the summer. Hopefully it would include all three of the clones, Zeb (with a new shoulder mold. I just think its necessary to give Zeb the stature he deserves) and Ezra. I also wouldn't mind, although I doubt we'd get one, the AT-AT predecessor that Kallus uses to chase down the clones. It could have Kallus, two AT-AT drivers, two Stormtroopers and maybe Kanan, but since he's in the Speeder set this winter it may not be necessary. Another set I'd really like to see would be a blue Blockade Runner, since they seem to be the bulk of the Rebellion's fleet in Rebels. Maybe a good chance to get Ahsoka? However, one thing we need to keep in mind is that Rogue One comes out next year, so I bet we'll see another full wave next september ramping up to the release of the film, and I bet we'll get lots of really good OT themed sets, and probably a nice grouping of OT Stormies.

There are literally no words that exist to describe the level of excitement I feel about this movie. After this film, Star Wars will be changed forever. Gotta say I'm very surprised they included this shot http://media.comicbo...-han-156301.jpg

Anyone else notice how in the description for the Escape Pod, they don't consider R2 a mini figure, which unless I'm wrong is a first for LEGO. I wonder if they've done anything to his design.

I doubt LEGO would advertise new 2016 sets the exact same way as how they previewed the pieces of Rey's speeder. For the most part, the promotional images of minifigs and such has used dessert backgrounds quite heavily, obviously Jakku. In fact, the entire theme of the promotion of the film has been focusing on Jakku, and only a very limited handful of information. These new sets will be out after the film is out, so I expect there to be a new spin to how they promote these new characters and sets we'll get, which I'm guessing will pertain to later parts of the film. Therefore I'd think they'd drop the dessert background for something with perhaps more snow and trees. Basically what I'm saying is that image is fake, unless my eyes are being cheated by some spell.

Ok, now I see what's going on with that helmet in the Resistance ship. I don't think those two figs are pilots of any kind, but rather two more Resistance soldiers with helmets. The one with the visor down seems to have the same torso as the male soldier included in the First Order Troop Transport, while the other one looks new and female. Makes me wonder what sort of soldier selection we'll see in the Resistance BP. Hopefully two helmeted soldiers and two alien soldiers or crew.

That list is utter tripe. While I believe that we will see LEGO versions of the TFA Star Destroyer, most of the other sets are completey ridiculous. As for those new sets, here are my thoughts. The battle packs are perfect, despite the lack of normal weapons. I think LEGO should include both stud shooters and regular blaster in all BPs, with variety in size and colour. I really like the look of the new jet packs, and I also like the diverse Rebel grouping. The Imperials also get a good group of figs, and I like the Shock Trooper far more than I expected. The two prequels sets are kinda meh, especially the spider droid. Sure, it's a cheap way to get Yoda, but there's so many better things they could've done that include Yoda. Why not gives us a small set of the entrance to the Jedi Temple with Yoda and some 501st clones? Opportunity wasted on an unecessary rehash. The Jedi starfighter is simply stunning. I'm not as tempted as I thought I'd be simply because of the minifig selection. The Obi-Wan is only new in that he has the piloting headset, and the astro mech is just another astro mech which is kinda boring. If they'd have included a new Magna Guard or something, I'd be more interested. The Hoth set is kind of a let down, but I think it will look better once paired with the must discussed and mysterious Echo Base set. On its own, it isn't much, but with the larger set it may work really well. The Hoth Han is also a welcome figure, because I haven't gotten one since 09. The Carbon Freezing Chamber is really good. The ugnaught is nice, and the Han looks to have a new face print. I really don't know how they can improve on the current one, and part of me hopes that it's simply the quality of the images making it seem different. Boba looks good. I can forgive the lack of arm print thanks to that nice cape piece. The set itself looks like they must be planning a Cload City at somepoint. And that Finn hair is perfect for Lando. Now the set with Leia. I'm so excited to see her in a set! Especially along with Ackbar! The basic Resistance soldier with the helmet looks awesome, but that other figure I don't quite understand. I think she's just a soldier, but the headpiece is throwing me off. The ship itself looks like an evolved version of the B-Wing with the wings and gyroscopic cockpit removed. Doubt this set is either Battle of Takadona or Pirate Transport, or even the elusive House of Mirrors set. Can't wait to see more of these TFA sets. I have a feeling the BPs are gonna be really good.

This makes little sense, because Obi-Wan never had a grey straighter. He had his red one from the start of ROTS, and then his blue one that he flies to Utapau.

Picked up Kylo Ren's Shuttle on the weekend, and I gotta say I'm far happier with it then I thought I'd be. I really like that its quite light, which makes it really good for swooshing. Plus, the wing function is really amazing. Overall, probably my favourite villain ship yet.

Being someone who has kept up with all spoilers and leaks, I think its interesting seeing other peoples curiosities about the film. Especially since I assume there is still a strong chance that everything leaked and spoiled thus far could be complete tripe and everyone is in for something new together. More on topic, I was wondering if anyone has yet tried using the Asajj Ventress waist cloak piece from '08 on the Kylo Ren minifig. I think if given a little cut down the middle to emulate the way that Kylo's robe interacts with his movements. Alas, I lack the figure myself simply because I can't justify the price. And the fact that I just bought the Black Series Force FX Kylo Ren lightsaber. But I digress...

If Anakin were to appear as a ghost in Ep 8, it could mirror how Ben appeared to Luke and Yoda during Luke's training on Dagobah. This time around, Luke is Yoda, Anakin is Ben, and Rey is the one being trained. At least thats my hope, but they could do anything.

The Battlefront BPs sound fantastic. I'm guessing their outfits are based on the ones we've seen in the Tatooine trailer, which is cool, and I bet we'll be getting new helmets (or at least reprints of existing helmets). The Stormie one sounds great. I'm really excited to beef up my OT Stormie group, because two just ain't enough. While the Droid Escape sounds kinda boring, I think the figures are gonna be stellar. Hopefully the build is less bulky and more detailed than the last one. I'm having a tough time visualizing the Freezing Chamber. Regardless, I'll probably buy it for the Boba Fett fig. The Hoth set sounds like a lame way to give us an exclusive Han. Still likely gonna get it Obi-Wan's starfighter is easily the least interesting set. Unless they've seriously updated Obi with some more accurate face prints, I'm not interested. As for the Microfighters, the only one that sounds worth it is the Wookiee Gunship. Those Wookiee figs are so awesome, but I have yet to justify getting the full sized set. Might need to pick one or two of these up just to give Chewie some friends.

Fits nicely, even slightly loose. Really happy about that actually.

I just realized that there could be a chance that the 3P0 in the Droid Escape could easily have the same level of printing detail as the new TFA pollybag version. Theres no reason I can fathom for LEGO to not include the arm and side leg printing on the new ANH 3P0. I also really hope we finally see back printing on R2.

Yes, but Rey is rumoured to live in the belly of a downed AT-AT, and that artwork conveys that.
-
I've heard rumours saying that Maz is based on Yavin. While I hope that is false, its not entirely unplausible.
-
Obi-Wan's ROTS hair is probably the best choice given the fact that, from what we've seen, Hux ears his hair in a very similar fashion. Speaking of hair pieces, whats a good Poe hair piece? I've been having a really tough time pinpointing which piece would look best.

So as of right now, what are the TFA sets we have names for? Is it jut the Pirate Transport, Battle at Takodana, 'Hall of Mirrors' and the two battle packs?
-
Could someone perhaps post a pic of Kylo Ren wearing the black skirt piece from the 2008 Asajj Ventress fig? I'd love to see how it looks with the tattered cape and helmet and hood.

That Transporter looks soooooo much better than I was originally anticipating. The loading ramp and interior are fantastic! Picked up the Falcon and Rey's Speeder, and I gotta say I'm so happy with both! Rey's Speeder is fantastic. Simple build, fun little door function, and the Rey minifig is so nice. The Falcon is ridiculously good. 100% worth the price, and the figs are great. BB-8 is so tiny and adorable! And Finn is so much better than I first thought. No doubt that they'll make a new Lando in the future.
-
Me too. Definitely gonna need to keep my eye out for this. Tomorrow is the day. Getting the Falcon and Rey's Speeder, since thats all I can afford right now. Cannot wait till morning!
-
Very well put. However, another thing to consider is that there is a strong likelihood that Kylo Ren will survive past TFA, meaning that in the Episode 8 sets we're sure to see newer, alternate versions of Rey, Finn and Kylo, along with Poe and whoever else makes it to the next film. I also think we won't see Luke till the 2017 wave either, simply because it seems his role in TFA is far less than what it potentially could be in Episode 8.

As much as there is a chance there may be a shortage of stock, I feel like Disney knows what they're getting themselves into and it would be insane if there weren't enough products on shelves for this Christmas.

While these people have no idea what they're doing, I really REALLY love the way the wings open and close. So much cleaner and quicker than pretty much every other iteration of the X-Wing.
