Just a preface, this isn't meant to be a rant against Bricklink; heck, I love the site, and I'd say the good definitely outweighs the bad with it, but I don't know, call me evil but I like reading about drama So, anyone have any significantly(or insignificantly) bad(or, heck, if you've got some good ones, go for it) experiences using Bricklink? I've just started using it a couple months ago, and I'd like to say my experience has been mostly good, with most of the issues I've encountered being minor and solved easily. That said, I have had a LOT of issues. I'm not sure if that's normal but it is for me, I'd say about 50% of my orders have gone through without a hitch. My biggest problem seems to be with buying used items, as a lot of people have vastly different definitions for what that means… I've had some used items that were as far as I could tell perfect and I've had some used items that I think should have fallen into the "abused" category instead. Heck, even in the same store, one of my recent orders had two of the same hairpiece both in used condition, one was perfect and the other was chewed up Luckily it wasn't that expensive, but disappointing nonetheless. I also recently decided to start selling, first order went without a hitch but then after that I got like 7 orders all for a single part costing at most 50 cents, and I quickly learned the value of having a minimum buy to prevent myself from having to dash to the post office 4 times a week for a quarter a piece(which was then promptly taken away by Paypal fees… thank you Paypal fees ). And then I had one order where the buyer needed the order by a certain date before he had to leave the country, which was unfortunately during the week before Christmas, where trying to ship anything is a nightmare. So I went to the post office and decided I didn't want to spend the rest of my existence standing in line so I tried out the self-checkout, which had a much shorter line. And everything went smoothly until I realized I was only paying about half of what I normally pay to ship something that size, but I had a bunch of people waiting in line behind me so my anxiety prompted me to just go ahead with it. I refunded the difference in shipping and then spent the next week panicking because the receipt I was given had no tracking number and I had now absolutely convinced myself that something was going horribly wrong because the shipping was too cheap. I even contacted USPS to try to find out where the package was and was told I needed the tracking number to find it. You know… if I HAD the tracking number, I wouldn't be calling you asking where my package is… But, everything was fine in the end and as usual I just worry too much.

Aw, that's too bad, I thought there would be more out there that I was missing. But thank you for the suggestion about Batgirl, I didn't even think of her! And yeah, it looks like she has different face prints too. I'll have to look into that once the sets get released. Thank you again!

Thank you for the contest CopMike! Can't wait for the great manatee unveiling... I'm just imagining someone going to this thread after the prizes are revealed and wondering why the heck everyone's talking about manatees

Best/cheapest place to buy ziplock bags for minifigs?
Zoshi replied to Zoshi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Alright, I'll look into that, thanks! -
I got some bags from a craft store for minifigs a while ago and they're… kind of awful, I thought they were ziplock but they just have a line of sticky tape which makes it really hard to seal/open and they just overall kind of suck. Long story short, I'm hoping to replace them before I start throwing minifigs out the window in frustration Problem is, none of the stores near me seem to sell any, and I've been looking online and I'm hoping someone can help me find the best option… basically, the cheapest ones that don't have any glaring problems, like being super fragile or difficult to open etc. Also packs of 500- 1000 would be ideal. Thanks for looking, any help would be appreciated!

I'm having issues with the Empire Strikes Back and Jabba's Palace DLC on PS3, it has the DLC in the store but when I try to buy them it says that they can't be purchased at this time? Please don't tell me this was a limited time thing, the DLC for this game has already frustrated me enough...- 201 replies

Okay, so I'm trying to build some characters but I don't know parts that well so I'm hoping someone who does can help me. I need some female head pieces in this skin tone or similar: But this is the only one I could find, are there any others I'm missing? I want to have multiple minifigs with this skin tone(or something close to it) but it seems a shame to give them all the same head. I also need a female head in this skin tone: But this, Stass Allie's, and Storm's are the only ones I could find and they're not quite what I'm looking for, are there any others? I'm thinking of just getting this one and rubbing off the dimples, but at the moment there are none for sale on Bricklink without buying the entire fig. Anyways, any help would be appreciated, even if it's just confirming that the ones I've listed are the only ones that exist.

For people who have played the game, are you able to use characters from years 1-4 in the levels and hub worlds of 5-7(and vice versa) or are the two games completely separate?

Unfortunately he seems sold out on all but the Quidditch uniforms…

Anyone know where to find some good Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff torsos? So far the best ones I could find were here: https://minifigs.me/shop/harry-potter-hufflepuff-custom-minifigure-torso-2/ but the layout on those ones is different from the Griffindor and Slytherin ones released by Lego, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any better options.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I don't think they wouldn't make a minifig of a character just because of that character's sexual preference. Besides, they've already had Batwoman as a playable character in LB3. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Zoshi replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Already posted my favorites a page back, but least favorites… the only ones that come to mind are Malevolence Padme Because the hair just does not fit her and besides that there's nothing about the fig that makes me like it at all. And not really my least favorite, but one that bugs me is Luke from Mos Eisley Cantina because his face just looks bad. Sometimes less is more when it comes to detailing. -

Darn, I was hoping for an individual game, I'm not a fan of Dimensions. -

Wonder if they'll make a Lego video game for the Lego Batman movie… because Lego the Lego Movie Videogame wasn't a confusing enough title "Lego the Lego Batman Movie the Videogame. Not to be confused with Lego Batman the Videogame." -
Oh, that's a cool idea! I was thinking of using them as fallen leaves, but I might try that as well
-
When I went through my old collection I noticed a lot of this part- -having one or more of the leaves broken off. I've since then separated all the ones I could find to try to avoid more damage, but I'm wondering if anyone else had this experience, or a way of preventing it?

Nope that's okay I didn't need to sleep tonight.

And then there's Battle of Takodana, aka $60 brick wall and some figs… But yeah, I'm probably going to try for a discount on the Lowrider, but even if I can't... Anyways, ranting about pricing aside, I'm loving Barbara's new hairpiece! I really hope we get her without her mask in a set (or maybe a good candidate for a CMF?) -
For some reason I had a dream I bought this set… and then freaked out because I really shouldn't be spending $400 right now That said, even though I likely won't be getting it, this set is gorgeous!! The only thing I'm not sold on is the figs, they're not bad but I'm not particularly fond of them and like others have said it would have been nice to have more people to put in the rooms based on them. But other than that, man, just imagining having that on display… must… not… give in to temptation…

I'm sorry but $50 is too much for a car and three figs. $40 is pushing it, but $50? Oi… Even if it is an awesome car and amazing figs… The other one seems reasonably priced, but I've had all the Batman vehicles I can stand, and the minifigs aren't must haves for me. I actually quite like the style of the movie so far, and I can't wait to see the rest of the characters and what they'll do with the sets.
