Currently my school's been getting an insane amount of cuts. Me, being an art major (I'm expecting jokes...), has a very little pool of classes to pick from as it's one of the first things to get cut/shafted. Just worrying, since I only have one class I'm enrolled, with 15 units waitlisted. I've always gotten classes up to this point, and people I know say they get in, but times have changed and I'm wondering how it is in other areas.

Yeah, I do like the squid man, I guess 10 extra bucks isn't too bad. It's still cheaper than originally advertised. Not opening it till my classes are finalized, need to pinch dollars if I get no classes...

Well there are some Atlantis sets but they seem more technic oriented. Thanks though, will keep an eye on the Ninjago one.

Yellow since I see real characters with it, it just that I have the image of that actor's/character's face embedded in me. I do wish they had dark brown ones, particularly female ones.

I've noticed a lot of sets with some black, but in particular, sloped and bricks. Star Wars, I'm holding off the V-Wing Fighter (came back but missed the Star Wars Rogue Shadow and Tie Fighter...), but anyone know what sets in the theme can fill my PAB cup with black bricks? or am I short on luck?

I've never seen this in stores, always wanted one but I haven't ordered anything prior to the Atlantis sets. Am I out of luck?

So I'm having trouble what the top and bottom looks like... Yeah... just gotta get a lot of black bricks, but the ones I've been suggested are out, particularly Rogue Shadow.

I live in the Bay with no car... bought the Gateway of the Squid today for 29.99... but it's not open. I don't think I'd be going to the Alameda area for it, but part of me wants to return it. My target only had two sales, 16 bucks off (29.99) for Gateway of the Squid, and 15 bucks off(99.99) for the Portal of Atlantis... Ugh, I wish Target sales were state-wide. Should I return the Gateway? I wish it was on the S@H for VIP rewards, but I love that Chutlu minifig...

Is it really the cost? I didn't think some dye/pigment/ink (not sure what they use) would cost so much. Only brought this up because of Toy's Story, got Buzz's Spaceship and it was the first time I ever got purple. As I recall, I did think about this, seeing how rare they are in life. But not in organics (flowers, fruits), sucks that they aren't represented in that way. Also, thanks for that psyche mention. Interesting, I though about Purple/Violet being effeminate, but the rest was unknown to me.

I'm assuming that the primary colors (light = RGB / pigments = RYB) and neutrals work better overall. Why is this? have to do with them being more 'auxiliary', something not normally used except for wallpaper, clothing, etc, or that they may be too intense. You don't see too many purple or orange cars... Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm just coming out of the dark ages (which I assume is a break from Legos, otherwise I'm use this terminology wrong). I think I answered my own question while typing this but I'm interested in what others think. EDIT #2: ROYGBIV = Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo (I think of dark blue for this), and purple, Black & White = B&W.

Where did you get Western Train Chase 1/2 off? Target? There's some at one Target but all full price... About one week ago, I went to San Mateo LEGO store and there was one Battle of Alamut left in the sale section. But I'm assuming that since then, it be gone by now. Err, sorry, I'd like to know which is a good or harder challenge to recreate. I have a love for whales, and love blue, black, red, and white. Wondering whcih of the two would make good use of Legos in terms of building.

^ Thank you sir. I looked on PAB, and only did about the 1/6th of the pieces I needed and it totaled to 46ish (about 68 pieces) without spares or extras in case of modification. Most were slopes, roofs, inverted bricks, or SNOT pieces. To bricklink?

Alright, I'll put up what I want on PAB and see the cost, and post it here and hopefully someone can tell me if it's worth ordering off there. Also, is there a way to see what bricks were used in LDD and see them on PAB other than deconstructing the creation? Like uploading it? I know there's one for bricklink.

Really want that last Portal of Atlantis @ Target but $115 is too much... Haven't even got ONE Atlantis set...

Also went to Target @ Colma, no sales. Would pick up something today if there were. Ninja and PQ were stocked. The section was also moved over.
