    I haven't created a topic yet. I had started on a Zipper ride but I see there are already two of those so I'm thinking about going back to the drawing board and starting something new. If I post progress pics in a topic would that be sufficient? Here's a video of all my amusement park from the last show I went to so you will know that this isn't something I already had:

    New as of when? Now? When the contest closes? I ask because we have an event the last weekend in August and, assuming I finish a new ride, I'd like to add it to my amusement park for the show.

    Yeah, both those purchases on bricklink were me, and yes, I paid handsomely for the pieces. I have the one I used on this and I keep a spare with no sticker on it for if I put it on display somewhere that the confederate flag won't go over well. They are definitely official Lego and the color match looks to be exact with orange. The seller also had the same piece in some other non-released colors. I've had several people interesting in building their own or purchasing this model from me so I asked the seller where they got them and if it would be possible to get more and their response was: So, unfortunately, this model is one (or two) of a kind for the moment.

    Thanks! The door scoops were one of the big challenges on this build. I'd say a good 1/4 of the time on the build was getting something that was the right size, stable, and that I was happy with the appearance on those scoops. In the end it was very rewarding to come up with a workable design here, so it was time well spent. This is what I wound up with on how to build them (technicolor for ease of part distinction):

    Until I did this build I never realized how little orange I had in my collection and how rare some parts are in that color, which made it way more expensive than I will admit to my wife.

    Not any remotely recent ones. And some of my 5-year-old's rambunctious friends leveled/maimed a few buildings, unfortunately. Rebuilding those and new/upcoming acquisitions is what prompted the re-layout of the city. In about a week/week and a half I should have things put back together and I'll show actual city next to micro-model.

    When I'm planning to rearrange or add onto my city, I use this little scale representation that I threw together. How do you guys plan out your cities?

    Oh no, I know it's not happening. It'd be several times larger than any set they've ever made. I still want it though.
