  1. Brilliant work. Great job of capturing the theme. I've worked on quite a few Ice Planet MOCs myself, but your starship is top notch. I've never built a mobile lab for the faction yet, but if I do your work is definitely going to be an inspiration. Love the dropship idea as well. A few points of that could help improve it: Add a bit more blue and black in order to more fully capture the IP:2002 feel. Perhaps utilize the satellite/rocket element present in the theme, either in the dropship or the mobile base. Use some of the ski elements. I didn't notice any in your MOCs, and when I think IP:2002, I think skis. I love what you've done, love the theme, and hope you build more. Your presentation is great. Maybe you could check out some of my IP MOCs and tell me what you think? I'd love to hear some feedback

  3. I love theme based MOCs. Doing the same thing with IP:2002 and exploriens
  4. Love what you are doing. I'm doing the same thing with Ice Planet:2002 and Exploriens. Keep it up
  5. I loved IP:2002 and Exploriens so much I've created military wings for each of the factions.
  6. Think about it as more of a multiverse. Without going into too much boring detail, while LEGO are the binding force in the sea of realities that is LEGO, each theme, while occurring on a planet(s), can exist in its own specific reality. Thus the space theme would exist in that reality and encompass all the planets in that theme. And the pirates could exist in a reality on their planet that occupied their time and space. It's kind of mind blowing, but that could account for the variances.
  7. Have you considered that perhaps, even more so than different planets, the Lego universe exists in different dimensions? That could explain the time and terrain variations.
  8. The ducal paladins wear an aquazone suit with a trans-orange IP:2002 visor The completely trans-orange helmet the shock trooper is wearing comes from the robo stalker and robo raider sets
  9. I'll try that next time. I'm still working on getting the hang of this whole picture thing. I'll try to take them in the day next time. I did that with the Glacial Strykedozer and found they came out clearer. Thanks
  10. If you are interested in the IP:2002 theme, I've got several MOCs here that are direct shoot offs of that theme. Give them a look and tell me what you think
  11. Yep. Giedi Prime was the Harkonnen homeworld in the books as well. Nice little nod to Dune fans from TLG
  12. Welcome. Enjoy your renaissance!
  13. It's a stylistic sacrifice I've made. If I enclosed everything at the minifig scale I find it to be overly cluttered, so I stick with a "pseudo-realistic" feel. Although you are right, I could try to enclose parts of it a bit more. Just think of these people as extremely cold-natured. IP:2002 was one of my favorite sets growing up, and I wanted to design a military faction with that feel. I hope I've captured it.

  15. Nice little vignette. Desert Moon? also, what's the guy on the right doing? He needs to join in the fight! or is he a quisling?

  17. Really nice!!! Nice detail. How does it move around?
  18. never mind. apparently the admins have a sense of humour. Bricking, keep it up you should.
  19. I like the design and the concept, but a few questions pop up. How does the pilot control it, or even see where he is going? I think it would work better as an escape pod. But I'm a conformist!!
  20. If you liked that one then you are in for a treat. I've got an entire faction of IP: 2002 themed vehicles in the Frost Skorpions faction, which is essentially the military wing of the IP:2002. The glacial Strykedozer is another one, and I've got more pics of the main battle cruiser I'll post when I get the chance. Thanks! And I took the offendingly big pics down admin, nor sure why they posted that size. Oops
  21. Impressive. Nice attention to detail. And I love the crew!

  23. I really like your wheel system there, build more!
  24. I'm thinking of adding guns to the "wings" but I'm not sure it needs them
  25. oh, he was just a placeholder till i design a better crew.
