I will be picking up some Microfighters but not straight away; they're the sort of thing I grab at the super market in February when they're 25% off, or when they're on sale on Amazon (pretty much serving purely as an impulse buy). Definitely gonna get the X wing - grey parts are always useful to me and I'm not spending £70 to get a pilot - I might just get two of these and swap out one of the heads. If Rebels season 2 is awesome between now and January (which it kinda is at the moment) then I may get the ghost purely for Hera, not for that crappy build. I actually like the designs of the AT-DP and Wookie Gunship, but I have absolutely no purpose / need for those figures. And I own the full sized Snowspeeder so I don't think I'll need that one, already got myself 3 Snowtroopers. I'm gonna be spending pretty much all my money on BPs and maybe Takodona / Resisitance Transport depending on price, so I might just get the 2 X-wings because of budget.

Alright alright! Just guessing! And in regards to it being Starkiller Base not Takodona, I know that Starkiller is a snowy world and Takodona a forest one, but I thought this battle could just be up in like a mountain area of Takodona, where it is still forest covered but with snow... Seriously why is it in SW that all planets only have a singular environment over the entire surface...

Since we don't know how many figures will be in the Battle Of Takodona, is it possible that the 4th (4 seeming about reasonable for $50/£50 sets) could actually be Rey? I've thought of this due to this (absolutley badass) new image from TFA. It has unmasked Kylo (in the set). Finn (also in the set), and Rey. It does seem plausible..... Admitedly that would make this the 3rd vairent of Rey, which would reduce Rey's Speeder sales, so perhaps this could be an exlcusive variant?

It seems that we get 2 every other year. 2013 two, 2014 one, 2015 two. So maybe only the echo base 2016 and then two UCS 2017?

For the record I said at the end of my post that we should get back to LEGO......just sayin Aaaaaanyway, I apologise for digressing. Back to LEGO. Got a question; do we know any of the other figures that may or may not appear in the Takodona set? 3 just seems a bit short for a $60/£50 set I wouldn't think so. We normally have a trend of 1 per year (Ewok village 2013, Sandcrawler 2014, Slave 1 2015..)

Seriously though, thoughts go out to mr Fleetwood's relations. Respect to him and how hard he has fought against this disease. I've come around a bit more now in regards to 75132. The actual design and quality of those officers is very nice, and I do love those hat peices. And the other 3 battle packs wipe the floor with last years; those rebels/resistance troopers are absolutley astounding. So, purchases for January! -6 First Order Battle Packs (would of been 4 but I need those extra stormies) -2 Resistance Battle Packs -1 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack -1 Galactic Empire Battle Pack -Possible Resistance Transport depending on price -Possible Takodona depending on price -First Order X-wing MicroFighter There we go! What are you guys thinking of getting?

Oh I agree that cheap officers is awesome. I didn't exactly want this but I did sorta expect some sort of officer in the battle pack (since hoping for 4 Stormtroopers is waaaay too ambitious). It's just the fact that for young ones buying this set, HALF of their entire First Order army is gonna be officers. 1 is fine but not 2, that's just ridiculous. There better be a few FO stormies in another January set like the Batlle of Takodona.

So, it's January 1st today! Hey kids, who wants to create the awesome Jakku raid where squads of stormies attack and burn down the village? Who wants to create the amazing ground battle in the lush forests and abandoned castles that were full of Stormtroopers being shot at by X- wings? Who wants to create that scene where tonnes of stormies are being shot at in a hangar by a TIE Fighter? Too bad. You get to recreate the Star Destroyer corridor scenes full of Crew members. Thrilling. Seriously......WTF LEGO WITH THE FIRST ORDER BATTLE PACK?!

I hope I'm not the only one who every day googles "LEGO 75132" and then hits images just to check....

And after close analysis of Finn, he has sand smeared on his armour! Fully exclusive figure, not just the head!

Means we can get at least some sort of version of Finn in a cheap-ish way. There's also some sort of number code next to his name on the polybag...perhaps his Trooper number in the movie? (Like how Fives' number was CT-5555)

Wait, prelims? What catalogue would this be? Didn't we get one of those a few years back? It had a motor in it and really walked or something, right?

Very nice, the inside of the wings is the reason I didn't get this set because of how ugly the inverted studs looked, but this SNOT technique looks drastically better.

Hey guys, I need an opinion on something. As soon as January 1st hits and we get these new TFA Battle Packs I'll be doing a TFA MOC. But I'm not sure about if I should get a First Order Transporter (since one will be present in my MOC, but I may require another one if it is large enough) or if I should just use the one Transporter and get about 7 more First Order Battle Packs in January.

Here's something that may be worthy of notice. On this (Dutch?) website, in the LEGO Star Wars section, they've gotten a list of all the sets that have thus far been leaked, similar to how some Toys R us pages were doing this a week or two ago. I thought nothing of it until I clicked on the individual sets and are of them are "expected : 21st December 2015". There's been countless examples of SW sets leaking a few weeks early (The Brick Show had 2015's BPs reviewed on 19th December 2014), so this does still give hope that all the sets, including TFA ones since that the TFA Battle Packs have been listed, might be revealed or at least have high red images leak before the release date, hopefully within the next 3 or so weeks. J2G, any idea what minifigures will be included in this new range of Mircofighters? We got Hera, and a resistance pilot; who else we looking at?

I think that they will probably give us either: A. 3 regular Stormies and a heavy gunner with the black ammo vest. ( since BPs are known for at least one exclusive figure ) B. 2 regulars, a heavy gunner and some sort of officer that is just a regular stormie with a white pauldron or something. The draw for the transporter will likely be Phasma and the Flametroopers, both of which are likely to remain exclusive to that set.

Does anyone know what figures to expect with the 75132 TFA Battle pack? It's obvious 75131 will just be a bunch of resistance soldiers with varying appearances, but I'm not sure on 75132. There's gonna be at least 2 first order stormies for sure, but anyone know about other varieties, like a flametrooper or a heavy gunner trooper?

I think those Shocktroopers were the Coruscant guards, and never really saw combat (guards in prisons, guarded the Chancellor etc), that's why they carried electro staffs. but these imperial Shocktroopers are based off of the Battlefront game, where they carry huge machine guns and are used as heavy support.

This is a curious case; October 4th last year we had high resolution images of every single Winter Wave set. Now, we have blurry images of about 80% of sets, all of which don't even have the stands photoshopped out yet. It is understandable not to have official images of TFA sets due to potential spoilers, but I at least expected some sort of leaked, poorly translated set description for those TFA Battle Packs and the Battle Of Takodona....
