I also don't understand this notion that the majority of new sets are just repeats - out of the 17 sets releasing in January, those being 4 Microfighters, 2 BPs, 3 Buildable figures and then the rest of the standard sets, only 4 are repeats (Figure scale Y wing, A wing, Skiff, Landspeeder). So 13/17 sets are original designs. So something like 76% of new sets are new designs. Yeah, loads of repeats.

I think for the summer wave of sets I'll just stick about so I know when Images come out and then leave the forum, and just for that wave form my complete own opinion with no other input, see if it's any more positive (newsflash: it will be for sure). I thought discussing rumoured LEGO sets would be exciting and fun and we'd get a sense of a community full of wonderment, followed by a respectful opinion of these products when the images finally come out, you know, that thing that grown-ups do; respect the work of talent employees instead of calling them out that they didn't cater their children's toy for an adult communities obsessions. Nope. Just a constant, toxic sense of dreading disappointment that sets are always overpriced, repetitive, inaccurate, lazy, cash-grabs. Almost as if the the most influential toy brand in the world doesn't know what they're doing with the biggest cinematic brand in the world. It seems as though for every 1 thing TLG get right they do 9 others wrong. Cut them some slack. Who cares if a torso is printed in a mildly wrong colour or 1 out of 17 products in a wave of releases is overpriced by 1/3. Chill out a bit guys.

If the images aren't watermarked it should surely be ok to post them right? After all, box art for the Death Star was allowed when the set wasn't revealed yet, and we were allowed those Moroff/U-Wing fighter/Scarif trooper leaks.

I don't get the reasoning for this at all. It doesn't affect me being over here in the UK and all but I'd imagine that's very frustrating for North Americans. Either way, back on topic - you know the Y-Wing product photo? Is that attachment on the end of Moroff's gun (the grey bracket with the brown clips) actually part of the set, or is it a piece used to prop up the character that just hasn't been photoshopped out yet (Like those dish piece stands from last year's images) ?

So don't post any Rogue One spoilers until December 30th? Alright, sounds fair to me.

Well, Hoth Bricks have put up the new Architecture images. Since we seem to be getting a batch per day I'd say we won't be seeing anything Star Wars tonight now. How many themes are left for new images? Star Wars, Marvel...anything else? Elves?

To be fair, at least LEGO have included his creepy smile in the one scene from the film where Maul actually does use that smile; remember, that bit when he crosses blades with Kenobi and Qui Gon and pulls that evil grin? fits more in this set than in the infiltrator at least.

Right. I got photos of Maul from 75169. Only difference from his latest creepy smile variation appears to be the the lack of a cape, although the printing is exactly the same. I suppose you can only create so many different prints for standard black robes Is it worth me posting a photo? It's just Maul's latest iteration without a cape, not too thrilling. (the pics I have are from the same guy who posted the Moroff, Y-Wing Pilot and most recent Shoretrooper images, so I'd say it's reliable that this figure is the correct one).

Why is everyone discussing canon/legends/expanded universe?! Not only is that not relevant at all (it was originally but now it's devolved into a definition test) but it's also information that's been online for years now ever since Lucasfilm was bought by Disney! Just google it instead of clogging up the forum with it! When I see new replies, I come on to expect set news, or better yet these new images. And I just get these people rambling on about something which was made crystal clear back in 2013!!!

Well what with all these new set images from other themes I'm hoping It'll be a very soon reveal. I'm hoping for some time tonight/tomorrow...gonna need something positive to take my mind off the season finale of America...*shudders*

Any chance that the last minifig from the Y-wing could be either Edrio or Benthic "Two tubes"? the colours seem to match with the tan/dark grey drabs they appear to wear on-screen (google these characters if you don't know who they are).

Aaand yet again the forum resorts to nothing more than b*tching about how bad the LEGO designers/marketers/operators/whatever other title are in the Star Wars theme. Calm. Down. The world will keep turning if we never get a Sabine with arm printing. It doesn't mean the designers are awful and don't understand the character, or that they'll only put the one with arm printing in a more expensive set to milk the money from poor children's pockets....it means they're employees doing a good job, and can't cater to every last persons wishes. Now, can we PLEASE get back on topic...?

It bothers me waaaaaay more than it should do that the figure is so poorly assembled (cape's creased, weapons are so precariously placed)..... I need help...

Am I the only one who really isn't fussed by arm printing. I only really think it to be good when absolutely necessary (latest spider-man, for example), and I'm sort of indifferent with it on less needed figures, case, Boba Fett and 3PO.

Anyone wondering why the prelim image for the Phantom appears to be the complete finished set (made apparent by the sticker details and the fact that Kanan's new head mold is visible and printed) with just a watermark slapped on top, whilst all the others are clearly placeholders? Just found that odd...also we don't have a rumoured UK price for the Phantom yet do we? Also, when was it that the original leaks for the 2016 January wave (in terms of product images prematurely leaked, not prelims), started to show up? Just so I have an idea of when to keep an eye out...

I have no real opinion on that pilot as I haven't seen the movie equivalent; it does look pretty sweet, but I have nothing to compare it to so it's indifferent as of right now

Outa curiosity (I know this is an awful long way off still), should we be getting prelims for the ep VIII sets next year? I wasn't on this forum for the TFA sets last year; I know we got those set descriptions and names about 3 months before the sets came out, and then those hd leaks about 2 weeks before release, but did any prelims show up for the TFA sets before their release? If so can we expect the same this year?

Welp, I was within arms length of the Shoretrooper costumes at SW Celebration this year. I'm assuming there was some inspiration somewhere along the way what with the Nazis inspiring a fair amount of the First Order and Empire, but I certainly didn't think it looked prominent. I'd think if any controversy was to be caused, the Hydra/Red Skull stuff from Marvel Super Heroes should take that cake :D Aaanyway, I'm loving that bunker set design. UK price been revealed yet?
